This is a busy place on a Saturday morning. There was plenty of friendly staff to help. They hustled well to keep things moving. Since visiting Ft.Wayne, we've had their donuts several times and haven't been disappointed. They have a great variety of an assortment of donuts which is a plus! Every time we come to Fort Wayne for business we have to stop off and get some donuts. Great people and good donuts.

I stopped in Jacks this morning. It's located in a small strip store mall on Jefferson Blvd. The store has clear signage and parking spaces are in the front of the strip mall businesses. I bought several types of donuts to try. Each were as the delicious as the one prior. The staff was cordial and I was in and out with ease. There is a small area to sit and enjoy your item, but not much seating. Pricing is comparable to other establishments with the same products. Their donuts were fresh, I'd venture to say they were made fresh on site. Well worth the stop. read more

First of all, let me say that I love donuts. I love real donuts cooked the old-fashioned way in a vat of grease. Apparently, there is not a doughnut, place around Fort Wayne that prepares them this way. It tastes to me like most of the donuts are baked and not fried. I could be wrong, but being a donut connoisseur from an early age, they just don't taste the same to me. believe me I've given them multiple tries and every time I just come to the same conclusion. I wanted something different then going to the grocery store. We were not disappointed. I got the assortment dozen rolls and three of the apple fritters. I love apple fritters so I am a apple fritter snob. These donuts were wonderful and the apple fritter to. The kids commented how good they were. My husband came home from being on call from work and had one and literally asked me where I got these great donuts. They were assortment of different kinds from the sour dough donuts to chocolate. Woohoo! A donut shop with a perfect base. Any amount of toppings cannot fix a bad donut - but Jack's has the right formula, right down to the last bite. Can I just say the most surprising treat was the glazed croissant. The Apple fritters and chocolate on chocolate donuts will keep me coming back for more. The chocolate donut is like eating a chocolate cinnamon roll covered in a chocolate frosting. Jacks location on north Anthony is very easy to access; I found the staff helpful and pleasant. The atmosphere is warm with interesting lighting. The standard doughnuts were very good and popular with my cast mates, but the gluten free doughnuts unfortunately were dry and lacked flavor. Okay so my two friends got about two dozen and a couple extra. The seven of us found that it didn't really live up to the of a friend of ours price wise better than rise and shine granted. Quality-wise much less than Tom's Donuts I don't know if maybe they were day-old I didn't personally get them I had an assistant get them. From a NE Indiana Laker who has had Tom's Doughnuts for years, I can affirmatively say Jacks is better than Tom's. I believe if I'm not mistaken the lake locations near Angola and Fremont of Tom's Doughnuts changed ownership as of this year actually, and the new owners have been going cheap with the ingredients. I believe the Fort Wayne location near Clinton is still the former owners but not 100% positive. Spoke with two of the women working this morning and you could tell after all 2020 has given them, only being able to be open for a few days before Covid hit, they were 110% grateful to be opened again and working again and showcasing their delicious doughnuts. 11/10 would recommend! These donuts were absolutely delicious I had stopped at rise n roll because I heard their donuts were delicious and they were closing in five minutes and didn't have any donuts so I checked out yelp and Jack's was only around the corner so I check them out...I got a glazed doughnut and I got a long John filled they were both absolutely delicious their glazed donut was thick and substantial...it wasn't airy. I should've gotten milk that would've made it perfect they do sell milk I just didn't get it. Also the person who served me was amazing she was very friendly and her customer service was above and beyond. I say this because not only was she friendly but when I asked if they had any longjohns, all they had were these ones I had nuts on them and I was like oh and she said let me see if we have some coming out and they did and she went back and got me one and brought it out and asked me what topping that I wanted on it chocolate/caramel/butter scotch whatever. I've been here before, but just to pick up donuts to go. Today I was hesitant to eat in...because I have 3 young boys and they can be a disaster.
