Good donuts, but my go to is Tom's. This place reminds me of Tom's, but lighter donuts more airey. That's AIR EEE. Tom's light I like to call these. Reminds me of Tom's. These are not quite as heavy and rich. Expensive Rolls unless you get a dozen. Not bad for a Dozen like $12 cake and $13 fancy (filled with goo) Buying a couple they do run $1.50 a doughnut. Yeah real deep like. Little pricey up in here. little airey, fairly rich. A good overall 85 cent doughnut, but with a $1.50 price tag. I rather go to Tom's they are more dense, heavy, rich tasting with more goo in the middle of the roll. I've tried doughnuts around the city, including those places that market and located in more exclusive locations and there is no comparison. Coliseum Donut is unassuming. A brick and mortar where the dining room is closed and is a drive through only. Service is extremely quick and the couple working there is extremely friendly and produce some of the best donuts I have had in a very long time. They are fresh and pillowy soft. The owners of this location are also the employees. They're always friendly and very welcoming. The donut shop is always meticulously clean with no clutter. The donuts here are some of the freshest I've had. There is no greasy after taste, no hard sections, just moist, soft, and delicious donuts made fresh daily on premise. They have a variety to choose from and the cost is comparable to others establishments in the area. I'd recommend this for any meeting as you won't ever be disappointed. I don't crave doughnuts that often, which I consider a huge accomplishment due to being raised on long johns and glazed twists from our local grocery store. Sometimes, Mom made homemade cake doughnuts too. Nowadays, I'll admit--when it comes to fried dough--I'm hard to please. If I'm going to risk a gluten attack, and the inevitable feel-like-???? Aftermath. Those little nuggets better be darn good. I used to drive to work at the old location, and had to drive past it every once in a while. The smell would lure me in. I'd never had one before then, but I'd heard a legend (and probably rolled my eyes). Service at the new location is ordinary--neither amazing nor bad...nondescript is the word I'd use. They don't use a "drive-thru--so you can be anonymous if you suffer from fried dough guilt". They never seem to be all that busy, and they're open evenings for those after-work binges. I think you could fry and glaze just about anything, and it'd taste all right straight from the rack. So, get those. Honestly, that's all you should get here: the warm and glazed. Skip the filled anything. They're never warm, and most of the time, you'll eat half a doughnut before hitting a tiny amount of filling--which will sog up the remaining doughnut. To me, that's a fail--and a big one since filled doughnuts are my favorite. The coffee seems to have gone down hill since they moved down Coliseum Blvd though. The soda drinks are fine--if too sweet--and just too much when paired with a doughnut. So get your glazed when the sign's ablaze (um, yea). Eat them in two minutes (or less) in the parking lot, like some crazed animal. Then find a homeless person or a coworker to eat the rest. Because you will not want them. And you will not eat them every day--for a week. You know this. And if you did, you'd hate yourself. And your body would hate you too. So, go...indulge...and then run everywhere for the rest of the day. This little place is a hidden gem. They make the best cinnamon rolls and donuts in town. The entire store is super clean, I don't think I've ever seen a handprint on the entry doors or case. Owners are friendly. This is definitely the best donut shop in Fort Wayne. read more

Went through the drive through and got a "Fancies and Rolls" dozen. ($12 for their top tier dozen is a great deal in my opinion! Dunkin's is $11 for just their entry level.) It's a donut shop, not much to say. 5 Star for deliciousness. Coffee is pretty standard. The sign says "old fashion" and the place lives up to that claim. They have a drive thru, which I've only used one time. It's employee owned, so their service is always friendly. read more

Wow, I made the mistake of eating here this morning, for the first time. I was sitting with my family, and the owner(?) was yelling and slamming his fist in anger at god knows what. He would go from helping a customer to completely irate in a moment's notice, with what seemed like no provocation or explanation. Extremely unprofessional. And from the look on his employees faces, completely normal for him. The donuts were very average, really nothing worth going out of your way for. If it weren't for the owner's frightening and violent behavior, I might consider coming back, when I don't have time to stop anywhere else. Now I'm going to make 100% sure to avoid it at all costs. I am a highschooler on the Snider Swim team, and we have morning practice every Tuesday and Thursday at 5AM. After practice at around 6:30 we stop by Coliseum Donuts to get some grub before school. From what we have experienced, my friends and I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Since we arrive early in the morning, all the donuts are fresh and delicious. A much higher quality than other reviewers have claimed they achieve. The owner has been nothing but kind and supportive to our team, asking us about how our mornings went and helping us pick out the optimal donut choice for our individual tastes. He even gave us a free dozen donuts for winning our most recent swim meet against Cantebury High School. I can't recommend this place enough! Get there early for the freshest donuts! :-) read more
