We decided to try out this donut place after church one Sunday. It was almost empty at around 10:15 am, but it filled up slightly a little later. We placed our order on the paper and received our to go order in about 5 minutes or less. Pay when you order, then wait for your name after they prepare your donuts. Kids had been wanting to try, so we tried. The atmosphere of the place is nice, very spacious for larger crowds. When we arrived the lady behind the counter explained everything to us & gave us a pad and pen to mark off what we wanted. You get to pick 1 item per section (ex. 1 topping, 1 icing, and 1 drizzle). I was under the assumption you could put a bunch of toppings but only 1 is allowed. That was fine but with small children who can never make up their minds, this could be an issue. They also have an extended drink menu with different coffees & teas. Here's what i ordered: -DIY 1/2 dozen donuts: kids picked their choices of donuts, bunch of random stuff put together lol. The donut batter/plain donut is just okay.. wish they were larger and softer. Need that yeast! Lol. -Beaker Blenders Caramel Frappuccino with added Vanilla: it was tasty! I'm not a coffee fan but this was yummy. Not as smooth as I'd probably like but the flavor was there. If you just cannot choose donut types they also offer pre-selected boxes for you. I always drive by and mean to stop in. Well this weekend with my 11 year old son was the day. They jumped in to help as this was our first time. We could put anything on the donut we wanted, but they also had classics like vanilla Oreo, caramel, raspberry to a new one called Churro. We got half a dozen and my son got a donut sundae which was a sprinkles covered donut with a hide scoop of ice cream in the middle. This comes with raspberry drizzle standard, but they were happy to sub in caramel for my son. I got a frappe coffee which was smooth and balanced. From order to table was about 5 minutes. Went here for the first time on Mother's Day. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long for our order to be finished. Upon entry there are a few tables to eat there. The employee explained the process very well. They were all extremely helpful and sweet. Once explained we sat down to choose our creations which took awhile. Placing our order was easy and they were ready in about 5'. We got them warm and they melted in our mouth when we took each bite. They were tasty and def fresh. However we had some leftover that we tried to eat the next day and even though we wrapped them to store them they were rock hard the next day. Popping them in the microwave didn't help either. So I suggest eating these right away. They have a special of the day and then they have ones they suggest that are featured flavors. Today they offered a siracha one that wasn't good at all. Overall a great place to visit. ESP if you have out of town guests. Great for kids too. They have online ordering and a rewards program. They also make specialty coffees that smelled amazing. Pretty well priced for all you get at $1.79. It was fun to choose the concoction and watch them make them. Highly recommend at least once. read more

People, customer service is everything to me and wow does The Donut Experiment deliver! Out with the kids way too early in the summer and decided to kill some time by stopping in. There were two employees working, both so friendly, helpful, made solid suggestions and were attentive and accommodating to my children's questions and needs. We got a custom dozen, some juice, and a fancy iced cinnamon brew. Everything was great. Four stars because no filled donuts and I am a Bavarian cream junkie! read more

Terrific coffee. Friendly service. Clean shop. Donuts here are fine if you like traditional cake donuts. Their selling point is all of the toppings offered on the cake donuts. Want an apple fritter? Not offered. Want any kind of filled donut? Not offered. I rarely eat donuts, but when I do I much prefer a crispy apple fritter or filled long john. read more

What a great little spot on the north side of town!! These donuts are fresh, warm and made to order. Great cold brew coffee as well! The staff was super friendly and over accommodating. It basically consist of just cake donuts and you pick your own icing, toppings and drizzles. You won't find any raised (yeast) donuts, French crullers, fritters and etc. if you were to throw a party, ordering these donuts would be a great hit. Would I come here if I wanted a donut? The donuts were tasty and the ones they did correctly were amazing. I put in my order at 10 and picked up at 12:45, plenty of time for them to understand what I wanted. Didn't get a donut with keylime icing, and the Sriracha drizzled had a candy topping instead of bacon. There were other errors but those were the biggest 2 because people expected those ones. Again the actual donuts were good, I would rather spend more to have them correct than have the great price they offer. read more

We really like this place. My kids love choosing different toppings and customizing their donuts. Everyone has always been very friendly and helpful too. The smells alone are worth a visit.
