The inside of this coffee shop is so cute! The staff is friendly and welcoming. They were super busy when I came in around lunch time but quickly fulfilled my order. I ordered the sourdough biscuit with sausage, egg, and provolone cheese and an ice dirty chai with oat milk. The sausage was delicious, but the biscuit itself was very...powdery? Almost like it had flour sprinkled on top. I ordered an iced chai and received a hot chai. It was VERY thick. I couldn't finish it. I didn't ask to make a new one because they were so busy and I didn't want to make everyone else wait for them to remake mine. read more

This place is a little bit funky but we loved it! A very indie vibe, but somehow different than anything we've been to. The outside patio is huge and most of it is covered so that's a win. There are garden beds and planters everywhere, so you don't feel like it's in a strip mall at all. Parking was a bit weird since there were only a few spots out front but lots around other businesses. The coffee was good. The smores latte was the fall drink I tried and it was pretty sweet! Almost too sweet to drink a large one. My friends got americanos and they loved those and said the coffee flavor was great. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back! read more

I do not say this lightly, but as I am a southerner born and raised, I must admit that the sausage gravy at Firefly is the closest to southern gravy that I've experienced since I moved to Fort Wayne last year! There was a really nice flavor of sausage, instead of the flour base that most restaurants choose to use. The biscuits were an interesting choice and weren't bad, but that gravy was the entire reason for their being. At only $8, I will definitely be back to get more! The service was fine, considering the food is brought to you, but nothing more. The ambiance was very much a coffee shop's ambiance, which is a good thing. This is an absolutely charming coffee house. The exterior patio is simply downright eclectic. The interior is also delightfully funky, from the walls to the ceiling. There is art and a real guitar for use by anyone and string lights inside. They have breakfast-y food and interesting coffee drinks. We tried a breakfast sandwich on a cute lil' croissant, with egg and sausage inside. It was smallish but hit the spot. The service, coffee, grub, and decor is all quality here. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures but this was one of the best breakfast stops we've had in a long time! I got the biscuits and gravy plus an egg and a maple brown sugar cinnamon latte, while my wife got made her own sandwich (italian sourdough focaccia, bacon, and Colby jack) and a peppermint mocha. I am pretty picky with my biscuits and gravy but these were absolutely perfect! Just as good as the ones I make myself, I was impressed! And with the over medium egg? Ugh, so good! The latte was good, but the peppermint mocha was a whole different level of deliciousness! And the sandwich really hit the spot as well. True to its name, Firefly is a light in a dark place. With the state of the world, despair would be an easy option. Love that this coffee shop is a hub for gathering and is welcoming of everyone, and it inspires hope. There is even a little free library and indie art for sale. The pecan bar I had was delicious, and the staff are incredibly kind. Caleb was especially thoughtful. Told him I intentionally haven't drank or supported Starbucks in years, but I wanted to get coffee for someone who gave me a SB order. Caleb agreed to make it, off-menu, including a PSL cold foam! This place is awesome! It has such a unique, artsy, and cozy atmosphere. It was a beautiful day when I visited, so I opted to sit out outside (which is equally as beautiful & cool!). I got an 16 oz iced vanilla latte w/ skim (my go-to) and it was great. It was out pretty fast and the baristas here are lovely. It's a little on the pricey side, but it's for sure worth it, in my opinion. Their pastries and treats looked amazing, so I will certainly have to try some next time. Located near the Purdue FW campus, this little café/coffee shop is freakin' adorable! You can't help but smile when you step inside and see all the string lights, plants, and quirky artwork and furniture. Not to mention, they have some comfy sofas and a decent amount of seating for anyone looking to dine in or hang out while they work. Cozy atmosphere aside, the food was impressive too. I'm a serious proponent of all things meat, but their vegan blueberry lavender bread had me seriously rethinking that lifestyle. So moist (sorry) and SO flavorful - I want a birthday cake built out of slices of it. I can only imagine how great the other pastries are. As for the breakfast sandwiches, they keep it simple and offer a few different bread/meat/cheese combos. I went for their focaccia, which reminded me more of an English muffin, so I think I'll try the croissant next time instead. Also ordered the spinach and feta cheese w/ crust, which was light and good. They have gluten free and vegan items for y'all looking for that. People come here to study, chill, and enjoy life. When we are out of town we always look for a local coffeehouse to try. We are so happy we went to Firefly Coffee House. We can say the Viennese Coffee and the iced Caramel Crème Latte were both excellent. We also had a piece of the lavender blueberry bread which was tasty. I probably won't eat the other half. 1 star. Got a cup of potato leek soup and it was medium thin. No potatoes. I don't know if it was supposed to be a pureed soup or the bottom of the pot and no potatoes left? Flavor just meh. Disappointing. 2 stars. Very cute place. Very busy and popular it appears. I adore the decor and atmosphere of this place. The drinks and food are amazing, with many options that never disappoint. It's almost always packed with people which is nice to see! One thing to note is that seating fills up quickly, but there is plenty of space outside as well. For the most part the seating is comfortable and cozy. The location shares a parking lot with 2-3 other stores so the parking lot can also fill up quickly. Since they are often so busy, I can understand why sometimes the service is not the best. At times it can be difficult to find a place to wait for your drink as the pick-up is right by the entrance. Still, this place is absolutely worth a visit. The coffee and food is fine. The customer service is REALLY bad. I accident left my wallet at the cafe. I called 2 times and described the exact location where I sat. They claimed to have looked. They didn't. I went there in person and found it in under 30 seconds about 6" away from the exact location I had described for the employee on the phone. Obviously they do not sweep or mop on a daily basis either since they would have found it if they did. Gross. Thank you for nothing. read more

The cafe has a very welcoming atmosphere and every-time I go in there are always people hanging out chit chatting, or people writing their next up coming story which is lovely to see. The workers there are always nice however they often lack communication. At the register I have always been told that they will call out my name, but then they normally end up calling out the drink I got. It is really hard to know if that drink is yours or not when you order something pretty basic. I hope they fix that soon. Outside of that everything I have tried so far is good, but it changes how good it is depending on who makes it. I normally get the smoothies however sometimes the smoothies are nice and thick and other times it is a little too watery. The food is the same way. I always get one of their cheesy sandwiches and sometimes the cheese id nice and stringy, but other times it comes out cold unfortunately. The quality of the food and drinks just aren't very consistent but I always go back since it is never horrible. Overall it is a place I still love to go to, even if it is just to enjoy the ambiance of the place but I do hope they work on their communication skills and consistency on their food. read more

I am traveling through Fort Wayne for my partners conference and decided to scout out a neat, local spot to enjoy breakfast. The ambiance of Firefly coffee house was immediately apparent upon arrival! Their are beautiful plants, an outdoor patio with neat statues, and a large tent to keep you shaded should you need! The parking was extremely easy and free. The service was incredibly kind and quick! I was able to order my food, use the bathroom (definitely recommend!! It's super clean and full of funky art) and have my food brought to my table in less than ten minutes. I tried the turtle latte and it was amazing! Very sweet and chocolately. I also got the breakfast sandwich. Something I found to be unique is the "building" of your own sandwich from bread, meat, cheese, ect. It is a choose your own adventure and very tastefully done! There are plenty of spots to sit and read or work. More traditional tables with chairs or lots of couches to get cozy. read more

Firefly is an awesome place that we discovered the last time we were in Fort Wayne and looking for a place to get a quick breakfast. They have breakfast sandwiches here, so we got two: one on a croissant and one on a biscuit. The biscuit breakfast sandwich was fine, but the croissant breakfast sandwich was outta sight -- nice and soft and buttery. We also got a pumpkin cream cheese muffin, and it was really good (and big!). They have a variety of baked goods to choose from, everything from cookies to bagels to muffins. Your little carbohydrate-and-sugar-loving heart will love this place. The coffee is great, too, and you can choose your own from a few different carafes. I chose the Vienna Roast Cinn Ful Nut, which was a delicious mix of all kinds of flavors like cinnamon, vanilla and hazelnut. They also have regular non-flavored coffee and decaf, if you're into that sort of thing. This place has been around a long time (more than 20 years!). That's so neat that it's been a part of the Fort Wayne community for so long. read more

So I have a neurological disorder that causes muscle tremors and spasms, and completely spilled my just got drink. Staff had been grabbed, and not once did I feel like that I bothered them or frustrated them for my mistake. They even offered to get me a brand new drink on the house, which I greatly appreciated. I'm not sure how I've not written a review for Firefly before since I'm here so often. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Fort Wayne. It's great for working. If you work from home and are looking to get out of your house, Firefly has the perfect environment to inspire you. Or maybe you're a student and need a place to study. Firefly is perfect for you too as it's not too far away from Ivy Tech and Purdue Fort Wayne. On weekend mornings I tend to see more friends and families meeting up for a coffee and a chat. If the weather is nice, sit outside on the patio. Dogs are welcome on the patio, but not inside the coffee shop. The tents are still up, so no need to worry if it's raining. Inside seating is cozy with a few small tables and larger couches and tables towards the back. Firefly serves coffee, pastries, and a selection of sandwiches. You can order online and pick up if you're short on time too. What I love most about this place is the people that work here. They are so nice. I always appreciate chatting with the baristas about their day. The art on the walls is inspiring and changes as local artists are showcased. read more

Wow, this was an insane atmosphere-- a leftist's heaven, a patriot's hell. Do with that what you will, I'm just setting the scene. The staff was super nice, almost too nice to be true. The food was very good. I had a speciality coffee (with Irish toffee) and a breakfast sandwich on sourdough ciabatta, which was really good. I enjoyed both. My only reason for 4 stars would be the value-- the prices were high for the very small portion sizes. First and last time here, my croissant sandwich was down right nasty, I'd rather have a cold McDonald's egg McMuffin , yes it was that bad! The croissant was hard, barely any egg, and the bacon wasn't edible it was like dried up chewy few days old, felt like chewing on leather strips I had to pull it off and still the sandwich was so gross I couldn't eat it! I love their outdoor seating options during the pandemic! The staff is super nice, friendly, and helpful (like when they know you regularly order dairy free so when you order a spiced chia, they let you know the mix they use does contain milk). Their baked goods and so good and they have some great gluten free options! Their fresh baguettes and sourdough rounds on weekends are a highlight too! Also, sometimes they have live music. Nothing is better then eating a slice of lavender blueberry bread, drinking a coffee, and listening to some acoustic guitar while sitting outside surrounded by potted plants.
