First time back in Fort Wayne in a while visiting family, and I had a great experience at Fortezza Coffee. I ordered a caramel latte, and it was made to perfection. Smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The barista was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and even took the time to point me toward a cool used guitar shop nearby, which was a nice personal touch. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm back in Fort Wayne! read more

I always try to stop here when I'm driving from Michigan to visit my friends in Indiana. The coffee is amazing - on this trip I decided to get an espresso and a pumpkin spice latte. The espresso was perfect and hit the spot (I needed all the caffeine for my drive home), and the latte was really good. It tasted just like pumpkin pie, but was slightly on the sweeter side. I would have probably asked for a little less sweetener, but that's just my taste. It's also very nice inside with lots of seating. Stopped by Fortezza Coffee while passing through Fort Wayne and was pleasantly surprised! The space is super cozy with tons of greenery and thoughtful decor -- such a welcoming vibe. Went here one morning while in town for work based on the recommendation of a client. Great little spot. My Americano was great. Served in a cool diner-style mug. The barista was great. Friendly. PARKING You'll have to take the street option and parallel if you plan on visiting here. If you have a public library card, parking in their lot and then walking is a good alternative if there are no parallel spaces available. That's if you want FREE parking. If you want something closer, by all means, go to a nearby garage with paid parking. II. SERVICE The milk steamer wasn't operating. Bummer.. since this is the only impression I'll be able to have of Fortezza Cafe as someone from out-of-state. The staff was friendly about it. I like that they have sugar free syrup options available here for beverages. IV. QUALITY The Americano was acidic and dense. I would say the glassware needs updating ~ the mug I used was fairly dingy for something you put intimately to your lips. V. CAPACITY A few tables were available around noon on a weekday. Nice coffee cafe in the heart of downtown. It was a few minute walk from my hotel, reviews and prices seemed good so I wanted to check it out. The staff was friendly, the decor was perfect for a coffee shop. I was a bit disappointed with the oatmeal as I'm pretty sure it was from a packet and heated in the microwave. You will find a great cup of coffee here. Fortezza Coffee is located in downtown Fort Wayne, and it is a nice place to sit, relax and drink some great coffee, or just get a cup to go. We decided to stay and relax, and found that it wasn't crowded at all when we visited on a Sunday -- most people were popping in to get coffee and dashed out again. I got a black coffee (which is my thang), and it was nice and nutty, and not at all bitter. My husband got a Cortado, which is their speciality. He loved his coffee drink as much as I loved mine. They have a few sweet things here to eat. We got a cinnamon roll, which had just come out of the oven. I mean, we HAD to get one -- how do you resist a just-from-the-oven baked good? We also got a blueberry scone. They also sell macarons, muffins and bars. That's pretty much the extent of their food menu. I would not come here thinking you'll find breakfast items. You'll mostly just find baked goods that pair well with coffee. read more

Super solid 4 of 5, exquisite downtown atmosphere offering a friendly collective of grounded and well brewed staff, wonderful and easy area for relaxing, and large menu offering all the needed items for a quality caffeinated experience. Us three guys tried three different cups all to good results. The syrups are on the typically sweet side reducing the actual flavors making bean sipping my perfect jam but since no other spot in the whole Fort Wayne area comes close to Conjure for perfect espresso or in house craft it is easy to enjoy Fortezza for everything it is. read more

Made a short stop, liked what I saw, loved what I tasted! Great quality espresso beverages and delightful latte art. I had the espresso macchiato, which is just the espresso shots and a dollop of milk foam on top. (fyi I like strong coffee with not too much sugar). My friend doesn't drink coffee but enjoyed her green tea soy misto. Prices were quite affordable. Off to the side of the coffee bar is a cozy area to hang out or study, probably fitting max 20 people. It was already full during my visit on a weekend afternoon. There's also limited seating around the coffee bar. The employees greeted me and everyone else friendly. Food, snacks, and alcoholic beverages were available. read more

It's been awhile since I've spent time in downtown Fort Wayne, so I was very surprised and excited to find a coffee shop/roastery complete with sweets, ample seating and knowledgable staff. And! A spiffy logo (yes, this is always worth noting in my book). I had the pleasure of tipping back their pumpkin latte with a coconut milk substitute. Very delicious and the coconut milk added an extra dollop of flavor (and warmth?) to the cup. They also offer a free water dispenser for those who need some agua with the coffee. Love their space and location in downtown FW. They do some excellent, high-level coffee work here, and they cycle through guest roasters to bring some diversity to their drink line up. I'm a big lover of the cafè/roaster combo, and I also prefer pour overs by hand, but it's still an excellent place to stop by if you're getting coffee downtown. read more

Such a cute coffee shop conveniently located in downtown Fort Wayne. The staff was super friendly, the food was really good and it gives off such a cozy atmosphere overall. It's the perfect place to grab a coffee anytime of the day, perfect place to go on a date or even just a date by yourself whether it's catching up on work or even just a simple book. The Creme Brûlée French toast was delicious. The edges has that crunch factor yet it was so soft inside. It's also not too sweet. As for the Sweet Potato Hash bowl, the egg and chorizos really compliment the sweet potatoes. Unfortunately, they didn't have zucchini that day but it was still really good. Highly recommend.
