So good and so much filling!

Wow!!! By far the best donuts I have ever had and I am a donut connoisseur, have had donuts from all over the U.S.! The dough is just something I can't even describe. Extremely dense, full of flavor. The chocolate on the chocolate idea donut was divine. The signature apple filled donut was absolutely amazing. I am sad that we don't have amazing donuts like this back home because I will forever be craving these scrumptious little pillows from heaven!

A box of the "day old" donuts. So delicious!

Rise 'n Roll donuts is by far my favorite donut place in the Midwest. Definitely ranking higher then their Chicago competition. I like how much custard is in the Bavarian donuts, the frosting is like fudge, and the actually donut literally melts in your mouth! I make the trek all the way to this location because it rocks!! It is always extremely clean. I like how the vibe is a little more like a coffee shop. However, the main reason I come to this location is because of the costumer service. I am always treated with the highest quality service. Even when they don't have exactly what I am craving, they always find a way to accommodate to my craving. (Because hey, I tend to come in after work at about 5:45 pm. Everyone knows that is NOT the time to get the best donuts) Check it out! Phil is man in charge of this location. He runs a rockstar donut shop!

This place is the BEST!! Easily the best chocolate donut I've ever had, and everything is Amish made so it's guaranteed to be delicious. It's also super cute inside to dine & shop for local baked goods, jams, jellies, & pies. Plus, they're known for their "crack donuts" - just trust me and grab one!

Fantastic shop to get some donuts and pastries. Prices are right, size of the donuts are larger then most and the shop is very nice inside. Some tables and chairs to enjoy your treats and coffee look rather inviting and the staff was very friendly. Next time I'm in town I'm stopping in again. It was that good!!!

This place is popular for their signature cinnamon caramel donuts & donut holes. If you don't go early they sell out of these donuts. They also have other donuts. Their bread is okay. They sell jams, cookies, cinnamon rolls and canned goods also. Definitely try out the signature items!

Not a big fan of the "Amish crack". Lots of coworkers love these donuts. Too much sugar for me

Bakery items are amazing but the coffee is mediocre. Well worth it to get your donuts here and go somewhere else for drinks.

I'd recommend the Amish crack (cinnamon caramel), glazed, and crunch delight bismark donuts!

The variety of restaurants or ethnic food available for purchase at grocery stores is laughably low. So i heard about George's International Market and checked out their website. I was really excited to try it because it gave the impression of being "International" and i love a wide variety of foods. I decided due to this to make the long drive into Fort Wayne to check this place out. My first impression of this place was confusion. Just inside the store you find a statue of a lion holding a shield, a statue of Elvis, and a third statute of Marilyn Monroe in her famous skirt scene. I am unsure what this has to do with a supermarket. I then walked into the actual market and was surprised at how much smaller it looks than in the website. I also discovered as I began exploring that its "international" designation is a bit overstated. It does have food from one or two European countries but its mostly hispanic and really mostly Mexican. Was i a bit disappointed? Yes. That said, i did find a lot of food that my culture also loves in here that overlaps. Firstly, i found actual green plantains! Usually in the supermarkets near my home they sell plantains but they are rarely green. To be able to fry some up and have tostones! Yes!!!!! I also found other products my family and I would love including plantain chips, malta, yuca, tamales, Jamaican patties, and croquettas. The croquettas were of the frozen variety and sadly only in chicken, i prefer ham. I was also very happy when I found Pineapple Nectar for my mom. She loves the stuff and hasn't had any since we moved! So i did end up buying quite a bit when I came here and i will likely come back again. I hope they continue to expand what they have available for sale here, though.

I have come to appreciate the freshness of their sandwiches lately. My wife had the chicken Caesar wrap. She liked the moist chicken, light tasting dressing and soft wrap. The potato salad was fairly standard with most. It had a nice mustard-mayo taste and consistency. It might have been a little heavy on the mayo. The egg and celery were good touches. Very smooth! The McAlister Club sandwich was filed high with delicious turkey and ham. The Swiss and cheddar cheese...plus toppings made a nice sandwich. The white bread was nicely toasted without being overly crispy. Just enough mayo to blend the tastes. The 1/2 salad, on the 2 choice deal, is enough for a whole meal. It's a real club salad. All the fresh meats, cheeses and toppings. Lots of croutons. The honey mustard dressing is thick and spicy. All blended to an enjoyable taste. The Mac & cheese side was rather small. The noodles were a bit mushy and over cooked. The cheese sauce comes off a bit "institutional". Perhaps a flavor that you would find at school or a place who isn't focused on a designer Mac & cheese. It was very creamy and had a mild cheese flavor. I liked the tee shirts the staff was wearing to promote their tea. McAlister's special tea is like drinking a hug - per the shirt. The tea has a nice smooth/warm/soothing taste. It kind of reminds you of a southern style tea. However, it isn't over the top sugary. It also doesn't have a bold strong tea taste. It's good...and I almost felt the hug lol.

Sunday around noon o'clock and it was pretty a pretty busy place. We reached the corner to place our order after a short wait and the gentleman behind the corner took our order. He spoke very quietly and I felt bad having to ask him to repeat nearly everything. After we gave him our order and he repeated it I questioned it if it was right. At the point another employee came back and asked us what it was. It turns out he was a new employee and still finding his way. No problem. No one starts out an expert at anything. The nice lady got it straightened out and we sat down to wait. A few minute later a manager came by and apologized and said he thought our order wasn't entered correctly. We told him that was the case originally, but it was corrected by another employee and it was good now. The food took about ten minutes and wasn't presented as the prettiest meal I've ever eaten. Both lids on my Jalapeño Turkey Crunch appeared to be sliding off the side and the pickled looked like it had been mushed in the hands of a toddle, barely resembling a pickle. It made it a VERY messy, high-napkin-utilization meal. While the tables were addressed quickly after diners leaving, the floors were another story. Yes, it was lunch rush, but at the same time it takes a micro-second to pick up an errant straw wrapper or napkin. This location has a nice outside seating area with several table and umbrellas. It was a bit too hot/humid for us to eat outside, but in better weather we'd have absolutely eaten outside.
