As a self proclaimed cake connoisseur, this place takes top tier for all the cakes I have had the past year. Was too late to get a custom cake so they suggested to stop into the bakery to check out the cakes for sale. Purchased a white round with white buttercream. Cake was fresh, buttercream was superb. I am an out of towner but you better believe I will be back. Staff was super friendly and very helpful to get cake writing done and done quick. My faves: Salted caramel, triple chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, and carrot. In fact, I ordered those for my upcoming wedding and am excited! You can place an order online or over the phone for custom cakes or catering for an event. Other people enjoy the fruity-ish flavors (lemon, strawberry lemonade, raspberry, margarita, strawberry blossom)...but I wasn't really a fan. Let me start by saying, I really enjoy this bakery. I've made multiple purchases on multiple occasions. I find myself getting my special occasion items here. I trust the products to always be fresh, moist, tasty, and well worth the price. I've tried just about everything: cookies, cakes, brownies, bars, cupcakes, bread, pies. You make it and my family and I have tried it. There really is no one thing better than the next, with the exception of their cakes, those are top tier! Hands down a solid 10/10 will always recommend. With that said, I am finding that the staff is really just efficient, not really kind or engaging, all business, and that's it. I stopped in today to purchase our weekly sweet treat. I get the favorites each member of my family enjoys. Today, my request was 8 cupcakes. When I let the sales associate know I wanted 8 cupcakes, she immediately left the counter without saying a word. I didn't think anything of it, as her return was as quick as her departure. What I missed was that she went to the back retrieve a small cupcake holder to go with the larger one I was getting. I noticed she put 2 cupcakes in the holder and I said "oh, I'm sorry, I want 8 in total" to which her reply was a condescending "I know, this is for the 2 carrot and the rest will go in here". I paused for a moment, I wanted to reply sarcastically, but it wasn't my cross to bear. I hadn't been rude before so why start now. I know people can be thin skinned, but on this date I'm sure I wasn't. I know so because the customer behind me must've heard this interaction. Instead of asking the sales associate how much cupcakes were, she asked me. I kindly told her the price and showed her the sign on the counter for the price per item. I felt vindicated. I wasn't knocked off my square by casual rudeness. I love this place, I wish they did too. read more

I came in around lunch time to get a dozen cupcakes for my husband's birthday. They were all very tasty and tender. We especially loved the chocolate dipped strawberry one! Not a big fan of the salted caramel though - a bit on the bland side compared to their other cakes. They also have vegan cupcakes which my youngest loves. Would definitely recommend them especially if you need some fancier cupcakes in a pinch! read more

We ordered a cake for our 50th wedding anniversary party. We ordered in store and the woman taking our order took lots of notes and included a pic with the order. Our cake turned out beautifully and it was delicious! The only downside was they would not deliver our cake to the restaurant. No reason given. It was hard for 2 70+ year olds to get a heavy cake in the car and to the restaurant all in one piece. read more

My son and daughter in law got married recently. I live in Alabama and looked into a few bakeries, what I saw and the price Courtney's stood out. They were very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and even asked me about adding an embellishment that really made it stand out! The cake turned out beautifully! The price was good at $14, the staff were very helpful and polite, the custard and whipped cream were good but the crust looked and tasted like a frozen pie crust from the grocery store. My gorgeous Niece bought her Uncle ( my Husband) this great Lemon cake for his birthday today. What a great surprise !! It was lemony, moist, and delicious. I have never been to Courtneys Bakery, but we surely will make the trip on the north part of town to purchase a cake for special occasions. She did not order it. The bakery has some premade cakes to walk in and purchase. I think it deserves a visit for any day that you want a luscious cake. Try them. I am so glad my Niece got Husband this cake for his birthday. If we did order one, I would go light on the icing though. Just our preference , and I am sure they would do that. I ordered a dozen cupcakes online about 4 says in advance of when I needed them. I liked the online ordering, it made it simple to see the flavors available, also, you're able to pay online which is convenient. However, I ordered well into the month of August and the flavors for the month hadn't been updated so the flavors I picked weren't available since they were July flavors. This was a minor hiccup and Courtney's called me as soon as they got my order to tell me the options available. The cupcakes were delicious. I especially enjoyed the coconut like and peanut butter and jelly cupcakes. The peanut butter frosting was so good! I wasn't a fan of the carrot cake cupcake, it had raisins. All the flavors were very moist and delicious. I did not like the cupcake carrier, it was a cardboard stand type contraption with holes for the cupcakes. Either the cardboard shifted or the cupcakes did and it took off some frosting from the cupcakes. It wasn't a big deal, but could be improved upon. Overall, we will purchase from Courtney's bakery again, the goods were yummy and the prices are good for such fancy flavors. read more

I love Courtney's Bakery! We decided last minute to have a small wedding cake for two. I wanted something a little different so called Courtney's to see if they could make a galaxy cake. They had no problem making it and delivering for the big day! Not only did it look great but tasted amazing! We ended up ordering the same cake for our one year anniversary, just as amazing! Recent, I ordered a cake for a friend's birthday and had them deliver it due to social isolation and not being able to have a party. I asked them to make a cake with a cat on it and they did a great job. She loved it and said the raspberry flavor was amazing! Other than cakes: I have gotten cookies and cupcakes- delicious! I purchased my first Valentines Day cake for my wife recently. It her first Valentine cake. After her first bite she smiled and "good icing." My wife is of the opinion that the only reason for 'cake' is that it is to hold the icing in place. So when she compliments the icing I know i have struck a home run. They were not that busy and the young lady that was working up front just seemed like she did not want to work that day. I walked in and was looking and she didnt even acknowledge me until I started asking about a certain cupcake, then she was not informative at all and didnt care to be either. I picked up my order and I have to say there was nothing special about it. I have seen many bakeries do the same stuff and they are way more happier to see a customer walk in the door. I wont be back to this one at all, to many in the fort to worry about someone not wanting my business and acting a little more professional than the girl up front worrying if her nails are looking good or not...thanks but no thanks! Good cupcakes , but they be taxing heavy for them up at Courtney's. Yeah they are highway robbery , I mean they are good and all, pretty rich and got a decent cake batter going for it. Lower them prices a bit, also bring back the donuts. Offer coffee and donuts in the AM until running out. Come on a good coffee, offer free donut hole samples on counter.
