Brought my car here for a second opinion on suspension and alignment problems. First shop, oddly right behind Jack's, quoted my $2,700 for new upper and lower control arms and a bunch of other stuff. Jack's found that my alignment was way out and caused my tires to separate. New set of tires on, alignment done and they found that my suspension problem was a cracked bushing on the control arm. $500 and the tires from Discount and I'm driving down the road. So far I am very happy with the results. read more

1) Went to get an alignment as I was buying new tires. Talked to Jack who said to get the tires first. 2) Got the tires and proceeded back to Jacks. 3) The mechanic put my car on the rack, checked it over. Had me sit in the car, told me to rotate my tires and check the pressure. Said the alignment is good, have a good day. * It's a sad commentary when I expect to be ripped off or gouged on auto repair. Thanks to the good people at Jack's some faith is being restored. read more

Fast, clean, courteous, who could ask for more? Oh! Good prices too! Jack's is awesome!! read more

I have taken my cars to Jack's since 2000, and I have owned a few: Volvo, Chevrolet S10, Honda Civic Hatch, Chevrolet 1500 Full Size, and a Mazda 3 Hatch. This shop came highly recommended, and I can say I see why it did. I first worked with Mark, but the shop's owner, Ken, is awesome to work with. They've always taken care of my vehicles and have not drained my wallet. All their work carries warranties, and I had to take my Volvo back in after a trip to Mexico. They adjusted my car's alignment w/o charging me anything. Doing business the old-fashioned way is what they're about, and I cannot say enough about how nice these folks are to their customers. * UPDATE - on my sixth car being aligned at Jack's and they are still the best alignment shop I have ever used. I have used them since 2000, so that's 18 years of consistently excellent service. Worth the time to drop by if you need an alignment! read more

I took my Honda Civic here after reading all the great reviews, and they definitely lived up to their reputation. My car has been leaning right for some time now, so I had the guys at Jack's check it out. Within a few minutes one of the guys was in my car taking it for a test run, then it was up on the lift and they were checking it out. Turns out one of my tires had an issue, not the alignment. The guy there told me exactly what was wrong with my tire and that my alignment was fine. When I asked him how much he told me no charge. I ended up taking my car to where I got my tires and had the issue taken care of for free. Couldn't have been happier as a few years ago I had the same issue with my Ford Ranger and the guys at Sun Devil auto decided I could use an alignment anyway. In that case it fixed nothing and ended up being my tires were over worn. With all the shady mechanics out there, it's great to have yelp to sift through the pile. read more

Well, I first took my 2000 Jeep wrangler to Brakemaster's at 4603 E Carefree Hwy, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. They get a 1 Star rating. Crap work, crap justification for having to take it back twice and still had the same outcome. They told me they could not adjust camber...I have adjustable lower control arms...of course. Anyway, I took the jeep to Jacks. I appreciate the experience and workmanship. 45 minutes later, the jeep drove perfectly with the outcome that I was expecting. Thank you Jack's Alignment. I WILL RECOMMEND Jack's. Thank You! Michael read more

This place got me in when I needed my alignment. They did a great job and gave me some good tips. I will be back here when I need another alignment. read more

Stopped by today and the gentleman that I spoke with was not interested in helping. He was speaking with another customer so I waited till he ended the conversation once he ended the conversation he just walked away. I had to get his attention when he was just 6 feet from me. Then he was short with his answers. No can't do alignment car too low. We are driving on the light at same level. read more

Great place for a car or truck alignment! Not only are they likely the least expensive place in Phoenix, but they do great work quickly (in and out in under 30 minutes), and can take vehicles of all sizes! They were the one of the only location I could find that could take my F550, and I'm glad I found them read more

Torn on the review here. They're an absolutely professional shop that specializes in the dark arts of manual suspension / alignments. I drove up and explained my problem and right off the bat the owner told me that he'd happily take a look but he didn't expect he was going to be able to fix my problem. He said Mercedes has been allowing less and less alignment options on the newer cars. So happily he took the car in, checked the front and the rear... spent a good 30 minutes measuring and analyzing. He came back, handed me the keys and said "yup... not much we can do, your alignment's actually perfect". Boooo!! :( But since there wasn't anything wrong.... he didn't charge me despite spending 30 minutes on it. Yaaaaayyy I guess :) Not totally thrilled, I decided hold off on my review and went to a second shop.... figuring i'd get a second oppinion. They too took a look at it and basically told me the same thing... the alignment is perfect. I want to give Jack's 5 stars for being up front and honest, and actually trying. I want to give them 3 stars for not actually fixing my problem.. but I suppose that's like asking your orthopedist to give you a recommendation on your headache. it's not exactly fair. So... 4 stars it is! I can't say yelp was wrong. All the reviews were spot on. honest, helpful, and professional. read more

Believe all the reviews! I took my car here after I got new tires and they informed me they couldn't do the alignment. Instead of telling me why, Ken brought me down to the lower shop area and showed me why an alignment wouldn't work until a certain part was replaced. I have never had an alignment shop do this. They normally just put the car on the machine, print out some fancy numbers, and charge me double what Jack charges. I am very impressed by their honesty and commitment to quality work. Plus the prices are pretty good too. From now on all my alignments will be done here! read more

Call around and ask around all you want for a top notch TRUSTWORTHY alignment shop and after that, put this place atop your list. I was in for a routine alignment after getting new tires for our SUV last week. After checking it out for 10 min the highly professional and very pleasant mechanic returned to tell me, all looks fine, have a nice day. Refreshingly honest and a good energy about the place and staff plus the waiting area is very clean. We will be back and certainly will recommend to friends and relatives. read more

Jack's does auto alignments. If your car needs an alignment, this is the place to come. I had a new steering rack installed and I could have had they guy who installed it do the alignment, but I knew (from several years of being a customer), that Jack's was the place to come. In and out in under 20 minutes. Drives perfect. Great price. read more

These guys know their stuff and there is no charge if your car doesn't need an alignment. I have witnessed several customers walk away without paying a dime. The shop is very clean and the service is excellent. You are in an out in less than an hour. They are quick at their job. I have taken all my family cars there and the alignments have lasted a long time. Thanks everyone who works there. read more

These people are very honest. I was sure I needed an alignment, because my tires went bad. The technician told me that my car is in alignment and I needed to rotate my tires regularly. Therefore they did not charge me for an alignment since it was not needed. Very honest. Thanks! read more

Got great service from Joel. I just bought a brand new car from the dealer and wanted to make sure my car was aligned properly. Joel took care of me. He took the time to explain what was wrong, and quickly fixed the problem. I'll be coming back for all my future alignments. read more

I checked Yelp for alignment shops with good ratings close to my job and found Jack's. Their website says alignments take up to an hour so I was hoping to get a ride back and forth to work, only 1/2 mile away right on Thomas - I'm not a workaholic, just a lot on my plate - but their receptionist said sorry, they couldn't with only two techs on duty. So I went in at 9 am expecting to twiddle my thumbs for 45-60 minutes. Twenty minutes later she said "You're all done". I had a quick chat with the tech for his opinion on a steering part and at 9:25 I pulled back into work. My fear of losing an hour was unrealized. While I was there, I saw the manager (owner?) give two people the results of their alignment checks (both requiring other repairs before an actual alignment could be done) and tell them there was no charge. They are fast, no-nonsense and check alignments for free. A good resource to have. read more

This was my first time at Jack's Auto and all I can say these guys really know their business. They took care of my vehicle and save me money as well. They explained to me everything they were going to do before they did it and even showed me the part. I felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Great customer service and very knowledgeable. Thank you very much. You guys ROCK! read more

Yeah that's right "As good as it gets" is what I rate them. Pros: - locally owned not a franchise - don't have to worry about some creepy ex-convict working on your car. - they don't charge you if your car doesn't need work (Imagine that! an honest mechanic in 2010, that's rare) - If they do charge you it's reasonable and it needs to be done. - fast service. If you make an appointment and are there on time, you get priority. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes - I can tell these people have many many years of experience. That counts for a lot. Cons: - They may not have the latest, fanciest computerized equipment, but their expertise more than makes up for it. - They won't feed you BS (for those that prefer their mechanics to tell them all kinds of wild stories of how their money was well spent because said mechanic just rescued them from some impending disaster waiting to happen a few miles down the road if they hadn't stopped to get their wallet cleaned out.) that's my experience with them, and I'm sticking to my story until they prove me wrong. read more

Service was SUPERB....no waiting....very thorough would not do the work until i got the tires fixed thoroughly explained reasoning (of which I went to a place of my choosing) Returned and work was done with some more knowledge passed on in regards to the tires also.....And I didnt even need an appointment! The gentleman that helped us explained everything to me, and then my brother who showed up also and he explained it all to him.....(we had taken moms car in for her) while in state for visit. read more

My friend's and I have been using Jack's for years for our alignments. We are car enthusiasts and have some "customized" cars. Until my last visit, the alignments were reasonable. This time however they charged me $225 for an alignment due to the "custom" parts. The parts added just extend the range of adjust-ability since the car sits lower than stock. Needless to say we won't be going back as the price was completely outrageous.... btw my wheel wasn't even centered. read more

I went in to get an alignment on my car and I was informed that my car wasn't a car there could be an alignment on. The man at the counter was very helpful thought I wish I got his name. He informed me it was my tires that were making my car pull. I went out got new tires and all is good. Honest people with a vast amount of knowledge! read more

I took my 4Runner in for an alignment and was out in less than 20 minutes. They don't use a machine or computers to diagnose/fix issues, just good ol' fashion hands and tools. Joel was straight up with me about my issue and corrected it in no time. My rig is now driving like it should. I will be recommending this spot to all friends and family in the future. Thanks dudes! read more

This place is a joke. They may have in-ground racks, but the customer service is awful and don't even think about coming here if you have any type of aftermarket suspension read more

In and and out in less than 10 minutes. Brought my car here after the dealership told me I needed an alignment. The staff was friendly and personable. My car was test drove and looked over and was released with a decent report and no alignment needed. There was no charge for this. I highly recommend and will be back anytime I need alignment or brake work. read more

While I didn't actually have any work completed, my review is solely on the honesty of the company. I had my tires replaced and thought I needed a front-end alignment. I went in and they told me I was good to go - at no charge. They easily could have completed the service and charged me but didn't. I'll be going back here again when I do need service! read more

These guys do it right. Check there stats and you will find Jacks Auto Alignment as one of the best alignment locations in Phoenix. Superb service, alignments only $65, no nonsense, first come first served, fast

Super nice crew. They filled my car up with some break fluid, free of charge, which isn't why I gave them 5 stars, it was their friendly attitudes and the fact that they were incredibly helpful. read more

Place looks clean, inside help is very nice. My technician though was rude, condescending and drove my truck like it was a hotrod. The alignment feels good, steering wheel is still off but better. The attitude adjustment is the only thing bringing down the rating. read more

Jack's Auto Alignment & Brakes offered me some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in the automotive industry. Brought in an 06 Scion XB on coilovers that needed height adjustment set all around and a basic alignment to follow. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and make sure that they could take care of this request. They happily scheduled, stating that the height adjustment would be easy and the alignment would be no problem of course - and the car was taken in as scheduled the following week. After working on the car for 20 minutes, was given the keys back to the car and told to leave, they do not do "advanced" alignment setups apparently and the tech yelled at me, stating it was a waste of his time in a very rude and disgruntled manner. There was no apology or explanation given. Was just rudely yelled at, instructed to leave, and given the keys!! What kind of shop in this day and age has the audacity to do this to their customers? If I could rate this shop a negative 1000 star rating I would. A simple apology, genuine explanation, and a courteous wave goodbye would have been fine, and I would not have taken the time to write this review. In summary, STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. RUDE AND DISHONEST STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE, AWFUL EXPERIENCE. NEGATIVE STARS!!!!! read more

Long time customer for our personal and work vehicles. Great service and honest people!!!! It's is rare to find a service shop like Jack's that are straight forward and explain what the problem is for a fair price without trying to up sell or perform work that is truly not needed. I have gone in thinking I have a major problem only to find out is was something small that they could take care of without braking the bank. They had done all of the front end work on our trucks and will continue to do so. Cannot thank you enough and I will continue to refer my family and friends to you. You guys are the BEST!!!!!! read more

I took my car to AAA at 10th St and Camelback Road to get an estimate for new front and rear brakes for my Altima - $880. And that included the AAA discount. I then took it to Jack's on Thomas Road. I saw decent Yelp reviews and their location was convenient. Within 1 hour of dropping it off, they called me with an estimate - $ 362, including tax. Yeah, I know ! Crazy Good - and a savings of $ 520. So, I went ahead - they called in another hour & the work was done. Easy, convenient, quick & very reasonably priced. I support smaller, locally owned businesses when possible. This is a great find ! 5 Stars for Jack's - I highly recommend them. read more

After seeing the reviews here, I made an appointment at Jack's for my '87 Coupe DeVille. Ken checked it out, rotated my tires for free and showed me a CV boot that is starting to leak. Ken was excellent to work with and took the time to let me know where I started and how he adjusted my alignment. I will recommend and certainly use Jack's again when I need a service they provide. read more

I called to have my car aligned and they told me over the phone of their warranty. After the work was done, and my card charged, I inquire about the warranty and they then tell me AFTERWARD that since I have "mixed tires" they would not cover a warranty. I say okaaaaay and leave only to find out that the car steers to one side, I politely call with the intention of just having them adjust this, no big deal sort of attitude to which I'm told it will not steer right due to mixed tires, at that pint I'm mad because I'm given attitude for Something they didn't tell me about TWICE and when I show up im told it will never stir right but he could move a tire which may improve things. After talking and trying to figure out if it's worth a try, I soon I get the "just go find someone who will make you happy" cop out. The only positive was that I was refunded for this shifty experience. Steer clear from here!! read more

stand up guys. They checked my alignment, basically said I have bad tires and they could align my wheels if I wanted but wouldn't solve the problem the tires being bad, said there was a deal at costco or they could hook me up with a deal from his friend but advised costco due to their service and if you are traveling there will be a costco and not this local shop to get serviced for free. They didn't charge me anything. They also checked the alignment manually and not by computers. I was impressed and am impressed when someone has an old school skill. I have a Toyota Tacoma lifted and he mad it perfect! I will be telling everyone if you want it done right go see ken! He reminds me of a guy who just knows his stuff and can fix anything.
