They checked my alignment, basically said I have bad tires and they could align my wheels if I wanted but wouldn't solve the problem the tires being bad, said there was a deal at costco or they could hook me up with a deal from his friend but advised costco due to their service and if you are traveling there will be a costco and not this local shop to get serviced for free. They didn't charge me anything. They also checked the alignment manually and not by computers. I was impressed and am impressed when someone has an old school skill. Ken is the Man!! I've been to network alignment 3 times, 2 different shops. Ken took to time to figure out my problem and not let me leave until it was right and I was happy. You're much better off just paying like $20 extra for an alignment and going to a dealership or other professional place where they have a real alignment rack than this hole in the wall. They just seemed clueless about my car. Rude people that talk down to you, understaffed, junky room to wait in, and take far longer than they promise. Extremely clean Lot and Waiting area. No wait for my 8:30 AM Appointment which I was 7 minutes late for due to Indian School Construction (Thus avoid EAST BOUND Indian School prior to 16th Street as once you pass 12th Street you are stuck until you route thru the one Right LANE open. In addition, The City Bus stops a few times which ties the back up further. I was charged the quoted amount exactly and paid by Credit Card. Just popped in here because I have a little outside wear on a newer set of tires. They took the car for a quick spin, put it up on the alignment deck, and they reported back to me that the alignment was almost dead on. I'd give them 7 stars if I could! I used a hand alignment shop in Michigan before moving out here and was so happy I found Jack's here in AZ. Hand alignments are the only way to go. I've been there three times with three different vehicles. A cargo van, a mini-van and a Honda CRV and every time they charged me less than I expected for an amazing alignment. This place costs half what a computer place charges for twice as good work. Do not even think about going elsewhere. Also they do brakes and shocks. Not sure what else. My OLD "reputable" mechanic in Scottsdale charged me $400 for "heavy duty" shocks in the rear. They put on standard shocks, charged me $100 for $50 shocks and loads of labor. I inquired here. Real Heavy Duty shocks for $100 each for my cargo van and $85 for labor. $285 vs $400 plus the real thing and not standard shocks marked up double. I really love coming here and it's fun to watch them do the work. They are extremely professional and efficient. My front end alignment on the van was exactly $60. Not taxable because it's labor and no "shop fees". read more

You guys need to fire your employee Joel for being a dumb asshole that doesn't know how to work on cars. First of all, his customer service was garbage. Very stern and rude. Then after he got the car on the rack, he told me I needed to buy aftermarket toe arms so he could set my toe to zero. I had some "pulling" and shaking going on with my small truck. I stopped in to Jacks and they looked the situation over. After a short wait, they pulled my truck onto their rack and evaluated it. They came back to me and let me know that my alignment was good and I needed one new tire. I was in and out in less then 15 minutes for no charge! These guys get five stars. First, I found their prices to be the lowest in town. I didn't call every shop, but they were about 10 to 20% lower than everyone else. Second, and most important, they didn't take a dime from me. They gave my alignment a thorough check, and found that it was not the issue. Yay, an honest auto repair shop! I took my old Taurus in because it was making a loud noise. Turns out, it was just a bolt that needed to be replaced. It was replaced by Ken (?) and was only charged for the part. Another shop wanted to charge me $65 just to look at my car! I was so thankful for the great customer service and honest work. I was told that I needed to have front bushings replaced . This other place gave me a quote of $950.00. So I called Jack's and he said to come over and he would be glad to look at it. I pulled in and within 15 min. The man said "there is nothing wrong with your bushings, why do you think something is wrong ?"i told him what the other place had told me, and he said I am sorry they did that to you. Just left Jack's. My truck had a very slight wandering problem so I wanted to make sure my alignment was okay. They checked it out and all settings were right on the money. They told me my particular tires have a somewhat softer sidewall and that I should run an additional 10psi which is still within the tire manufacturer's spec. Wandering problem solved! I feel a bit foolish knowing it was that simple but am glad they are that good. The best part is NO CHARGE to just check settings. Maybe it's that they prefer to work on domestic cars and not imports, but I took my car (which I had overhauled myself) to get an alignment, and after it was all overwith, they told me that it took a bunch of extra trouble (though they got me out the door in under 20 minutes) and cost extra - $160. (4 wheel alignment). I think there are probably other shops that are a better choice for the import enthusiast/builder. 12th street and Camelback comes to mind. read more

Ive had aprox. 5 alignments done there over the past few years and always had good work done. Joel is always very nice, however Ken (the older gentleman) is usually in a bad mood and probably needs to retire. Last time I was there he was very short and rude. Here are some guys who really know their business. Honest and reliable. My Lexus dealer could not fix the problem - my car still pulled to the right after they did an alignment. Jacks merely rotated the front tires and the problem was solved. Why couldn't Lexus do that? When I asked how much - no charge. Now you know who the real expert is. Hands down, Absolutely the best shop in town! On Christmas Eve, P-Boys told me I needed $800 in parts and labor so needless to say I wanted a second opinion. I saw the Yelp reviews so I gave Jack's a try this morning. Jack evaluated my car and personally showed me everything was fine and that I didn't need new parts, just an alignment for $60. I figured with the money I saved I would have him do my rear brakes to fix a reoccurring squeak but he let me know that was inherent to the car and that taking my money would not fix it. Near impossible to find honesty like this today so when you find it spread the word and please tip your mechanic. These good guys are few and far between so be sure to show you appreciate them. I have been going to this place exclusively for the past 14 yrs. 4 vehicles later. My daughter will make the 35 mile drive to bring her Durango here as well. No bs about this place and the fact that they do your alignment the old school way, makes it all much better. Bought some new tires for my Lincoln with a free computer alignment.........my Lincoln just would not drive right after 3 attempts with the computer. Gave up!! Made the drive to Jacks and as soon as I drove away, no problem. It drove wonderful, never should have attempted the "computer" alignment, but since it was free.......why not?
