Jackie's is an awesome place on Valley in Montclair with delicious wraps. My favorite is the Chicken Caesar, and it ALWAYS comes out freshly made. A word to the wise, a meal here for two can run up to $30 (depending on drink choices, etc...), but it's worth it -- just can't make it a habit unless you're BALLIN. read more

I would like to know, in what universe chicken kebab is a flattened out piece of dry chicken approximately one and a half by 2 inches and less than a quarter of an inch thick? Every chicken kebab I have ever had in my life has been chunks of juicy grilled chicken, chunks of grilled onion, pieces of grilled pepper, on a skewer. This was like flat pieces of dead bird on a pita with one Crescent of green pepper comma a quarter sized slice of raw onion and about 1/32 teaspoon of cilantro sprinkled on it. The chop salad was 50% chopped zucchini, some tomato, chopped onion, some red lettuce, and also not much flavor. The rice was cold. In an area like Montclair, they should try harder. read more

What can I say? These guys were in Watchung Plaza Ages ago... I raised my kids in there! Wonderful warm family, GOOD GOOD GOOD food, Smoothies...Everything....fresh juice...Falaffal everythings on the 5star level! I love this family.... I started my healthy weight loss regimen with their juicing....They were right there for me! read more

This place is great for a nice relaxing lunch in a warm atmosphere. Wraps and sandwiches that are reasonably priced, substantial, and absolutely delicious. The family that runs the restaurant is great too. They are very attentive to the patrons and make you feel welcome. The Mediterranean specialties are great too, though a bit more expensive. The lentil appetizer was delicious and the lentils were perfectly cooked. My girlfriend also found her favorite wrap of all time on their menu, the Mediterranean wrap. Taboule, hummus, grilled chicken, lettuce, on a wrap. It was pretty fantastic. Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone. They also have breakfast options on the menu and I'm planning on going back soon to try an omelet. read more

The family that runs this place are tremendous, I've had a very positive experience with their service and my girlfriend and I get sandwiches there every week. I am all about supporting local businesses and these folks make it easy, they are responsive and friendly and the food is excellent. Absolutely worth your time. read more

gggggooooooo please go! The place is tiny, which seems to be a trend in Montclair but the food is finger licking good! Been a few times and each time got something different and always leave happy! read more

The perfect lunch spot! Nicely decorated, plentiful menu choices, friendly and attentive staff, modestly priced. Looking forward to going back to try different options. Honestly, I would've given this a 4.5 stars because the table queue was a little ambiguous and the process for seating was not clear. It works when there's no wait, but when all the tables are taken, it's not obvious who takes the next table. read more

I ate here last night pre-show at Studio Theatre. It was the obvious choice because at 5:00 it was busy when all the other places in Montclair were empty (obviously it has local appeal!). Very hospitable, friendly family runs this restaurant which is more like a veggie-friendly deli. I wish I could find a place like this in Manhattan! No pressure to eat fast and run, even after I paid I was told I could stay until my show started. I ordered the lentil and rice platter which was attractively presented and quite substantial. The decor is inviting. Sit by the window and watch the passersby in Montclair's main shopping area. What more can I say? I loved it! read more

We were in the area and thanks to our fellow Yelpers was directed to this gem. I am especially thrilled because they have plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered pretty much almost every Veg Appetizer on the menu, I had the Mushroom Burger, French Fries were fresh and crunchy, Hummus and Felafel was amazing. The place has a home style feel, self serve coffee and tea station, I'm definitely going to be back! read more

This place is really amazing. It was so clean, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the food was fresh, and the Aesthetics were great. I highly recommend it! read more

great deli... and a chalkboard that offers uplifting quotes, that never fails to change my point of view!

I've come in here twice since they opened up. Had lunch in here today, the chicken kabob entree plate. Delicious. Good portion that will fill you up. A lovely place for lunch. read more

If your looking for a cute environment and great food definetley come here. Their food is just simply amazing, well cooked, and delightful. The only problem was where I go there is not much seating so we had to wait a fair while. Overall this is great and would reocomend. read more

Food is fresh and the price is not expensive. There is not much of a seating area. Chicken Kebab kid....

We loved it here. So cute and of course upper Montclair is adorable. I got only the tabbouleh salad appetizer and it was DELICIOUS, fresh and authentic. My boyfriend got the chicken club and it was amazing too. They also have a juice bar and soooo many other items to choose from, I can't wait to come back ever weekend I visit and try more :) the staff is so sweet and accommodating and it's so clean! The music was relaxed, cultured and refreshing. Love it here. read more

Love this place! The chicken kabob is amazing. Breakfast is yummy too. Love the fresh squeezed OJ. Service is always great.

Just moved here from manhattan and Jackies was recommended to me. Every time I go here I am very impressed. Food is excellent and everything about this place shows attention to detail. This is my new local place. read more

Awesome little place in Montclair. Just like an upscale deli that has breakfast and lunch. Great service and a nice relaxing place to grab a quick bite to eat in or take out. Would highly recommend to check out. Doesn't seem to get too crowded which is great. read more

Veggie Pita. Scrum-diddly. I would definitely go back and try their sandwiches because my friends' food looked very appetizing.

Great atmosphere, I love the Gypsy Kings type background music. The food is fresh and delicious. The freshly squeezed orange juice with the fresh hummus makes a great starter. Too bad they ran out of my favorite dish today, which I'm still craving, the gyro platter. However, the lamb kabob was alright... My vegetarian son loved the falafel, "better than in Israel"' he said, I guess I'll have to try it next time. read more

The quality here at Jackie's Grillette cannot be beat. The food is always fresh and made to order. The Greek salad is fantastic and the amount of food they provide can be good for dinner or lunch the next day. You can also Add grilled chicken (which is always fresh and not that frozen kind) and the lemon herb dressing is a light and gives an added flavor. One of my favorite dishes to get especially when I'm undecided is the sampler platter - it allows you to choose 3 or 4 items(like an appetizer) - I often get falafel with Tahini sauce (delicious! and not greasy) homemade hummus with homemade pitas (the best hummus I have ever had) and tabouli salad (which is also very good) Honestly you can't go wrong here! Also the staff is very friendly read more

Located in upper Montclair , I guess I could expect an overly priced meal. Came in with my boyfriend at lunchtime to a packed place and squeezed through to find a table where even more people were squeezed into. Immediately I saw multiple tables weren't bussed, nobody greeted us or even told us where to find a menu and order . I looked around to find the mini paper menu and kept staring at the guy behind the counter to notice me and ask me if I needed anything (he directed me as to where I could order) . I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap & my bf got the chicken blt wrap with the tropical kale & strawberry sunrise smoothies. Specifically told the guy no tomatoes & heard him tell the cooks multiple times , yet tomatoes were still there. The small wraps don't come with Anything else but a wee bit of lettuce and pickles on the plate, the waiters were confused as to where our food went & never asked us how the food was. Smoothies were good & fresh, probably the best part of the experience. My wrap was overwhelming with the dressing which gave me a sour taste to the meal. My bf didn't like the overwhelming taste of tomato or bland taste to the chicken. Prices were high too, $30 bucks for a simple meal and no real service . Would give another try but not a fan . read more

Pretty solid, clean food. Healthy choices. Hummus is great.

Like this place. I usually get the mixed salad plate and I love the choices of middle eastern salads. Well made and good ingredients. It's a casual place with good value. read more

I have been a customer for years and have had consistently good experiences. The food is very tasty with enough variety to please most palates, from meat lovers to vegetarians. My favorite: the deserts and espresso. This is also a very convenient place to have a business meeting as long as you avoid the lunch hour when it gets very crowded. read more

High quality and great service. The Cobb wrap is awesome. Great selection of Greek/Mediterranean food too.

Been going here since it opened. Best lunch spot in Montclair in my opinion. Great sandwiches, wraps, salads, platters, etc. Really high quality ! read more

If you are looking for a great sandwich in a relaxed atmosphere, then you found the right place! I had the lamb gyro and a fruit smoothie and I could barely put it down. I intend to eat here every day that I am in the area. The only down side is that there is limited seating. read more

The food here is a bit of hit or miss, do not order an omelet for breakfast, it is DRY! And if you come when the place first opens or some reason the breakfast potatoes are not ready, they just give you fruit, which is fresh and fine, but if I am in the mood for potatoes, fruit does just not do the job. I do like the fruit yogurt and granola, it's a generous serving of all, and the breakfast sandwiches are good too, pretty basic, but no complaints. Coffees pretty good and if you stay you can have it in a real cup. The thing that bothers me and why I can rate it higher (beyond the potatoes) is the prices, my is bad and I and our son, ho only gets a bagel will end up will a bill of like 20$ and I always feel like we didn't order that much, and didn't get that much Can't say much about lunch, I've only eaten once and it was pretty good , it's always packed so maybe that s better, but in montclair don't always trust the crowds read more

Had lunch here today and it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was delicious and seemed very fresh. Service was as good as the food. Definitely worth a visit to see for yourself. read more

Awesome, consistent, perfect food, amazing price. Best chicken kabobs around, I try to get here at least once a week. What more can you ask for? read more

This place never disappoints. My wife loves the Broadway sandwich and I'm a big fan of the chicken schwarma. Great neighborhood deli.

Great food. Greek and american. Decent price and all the food is fresh and made to order. Highly recommended

Quite possibly some of the best sandwiches I've had in Montclair. Highly recommend the Big Bang sandwich. Chicken, BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, cheese, and some delicious bread. Obsessed. read more

The best lemonade and the best people work there!!! I always the Jackies Salad and Lentil soup. Anything I've tried has been delicious ;)'

LOVE this place! The food is always delicious. The salads are all freshly made and tasty. Lots of interesting items to choose from. Staff is friendly and helpful. Seating is a bit tight but the atmosphere is pleasant. This is definitely a "go-to" place in the neighborhood. read more

So happy we found this little hidden gem while yelping for places to eat around the area. We've been here twice in the past month and each time its packed and it's really no surprise. Menu has a great variety of choices and has amazing mediterranean food choices which is great plus for the vegetarians! The hummus and falafel are delicious and even though those two items are seem really basic, a good falafel in my opinion is really really hard to come by...crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. Everything was really fresh and all the other patrons food looked really good. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick. Only downside of this place is that its tiny and there's limited seating so on a busy weekend, it can be hard to find a table. I have a feeling I'll know the menu by heart pretty soon! read more

Walking I was a bit underwhelmed, but the food totally changed my mind. This place looks like a typical deli when you walk in, order at the counter and they bring to your table FYI. I had the stuffed grape leaves and falafel for appetizers and they were so fresh , and the falafel was so crispy. I had the lamb kufta kebab with rice and a side salad. The portion was huge and the salad topped with red cabbage was great, if it had feta it would have been betta, but it was still great. My wife had the gyro platter and another generous portion, with fries and Greek salad. Presentation was appealing and service very prompt. BYOB with an excellent liquor store across the street. read more

I go in a couple times a year and I wish I had more time to go more often because let me just say that their fries, wraps and smoothies are unlike anything I have ever tried. Clearly made fresh with care. Service is great too! The employees are really professional. Overall, a must-try place! read more

What's so difficult about "no ham?" I repeated myself. The female server covered her a** by saying I only asked for extra turkey. Funny thing is she actually repeated what I asked for, "NO HAM." Incompetence. read more
