A friend brought me to Jackie's Breakfast's new spot, and I'm so glad they did because I probably wouldn't have found it on my own. From the moment I walked in, I loved the vibe. The huge windows bring in so much natural light, and the cozy couch-style seating by the window made me want to stay for a while. The space is laid out really well--it feels open, comfortable, and inviting without being overwhelming. The staff was genuinely friendly. Order at the counter, someone checked in to make sure everything was going well, and another team member brought our food out. The service felt seamless, and I just felt good being there. I ordered the tuna melt, which was really good, and paired it with a chai latte. The chai had a stronger cinnamon flavor than I'm usually used to, but honestly, I enjoyed it. It paired really well with my meal, and by the end, I was glad I ordered it. The menu has so many options that I already know I need to come back. There were several dishes I wanted to try, and I also loved that they have pastries if you're just looking to grab something light with a drink or want a quick stop instead of a full meal. Another thing I appreciated is the location. It's surrounded by other businesses with a nice walkable area, so it's easy to make a morning or afternoon out of your visit. Even though I don't live in New Jersey, I'm already thinking about making another trip back. This feels like one of those places where you can meet a friend, get some work done, journal by the window, or have a casual meeting during a quieter time of day. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and welcoming, and their new space really reflects that. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. read more

Jackie's Grillette is a staple in upper Montclair. The restaurant is a beautiful modern design and has a very cozy feel, the staff are warm and helpful, the service is fast. The food is 10/10. The knafe pancakes were served with rose water and eshta cheese, they were delicious. I'll definitely be returning for these again. The coffee was amazing as well, I tried the pumpkin spice latte. read more

Jackie's, anywhere you go, is always a treat. Been to the one in Orange and Wayne, and now Montclair. They continue to retain not only the freshness of their food, but the calming environment, ample seating, and lovely staff. There is ample public and street parking for all. Great selections. Loved my eggs as always. Pics posted to note our orders (our desserts to go not posted, but delicious). read more

I feel like the universe knew exactly what I needed this afternoon - a 5 star casual lunch experience - which is why Jackie's was the first result that popped up when I searched "salads". The place is rather small however they've done a nice job with seating both inside and outside and you don't feel cramped. I ordered my Greek salad with grilled chicken at the counter and I was given a table number and told my food would be delivered shortly. As I waited I was given a cute carafe of mint infused water (which was so delicious and refreshing) and my salad was delivered just a few minutes later by a really friendly gentleman. Once he confirmed I had everything I needed he left me to eat (but did come back and check on me throughout my meal). THAT SALAD WAS THEEEEE BEST!!!! The ingredients were soooo fresh, the salad & stuffed grape leaves were delicious and the chicken was seasoned to perfection without it overtaking the perfect balance of flavors in the salad itself. Oh and it was plates beautifully!! Jackie's quickly became a favorite and will now be on my lunch rotation! Oh and they serve coffee too so I may be back to try that out as well. read more

Cute place. I've been coming here for years. However, like anywhere else prices have gone up, and sometimes you feel like things are hit or miss. For example, my $9 grilled cheese, in the past, was toasty and tasty. This last time around it was a soggy oily mess. For 9 bucks I expect better. But, throughout the years I've had burgers, salads, sandwiches, and kabobs. More often than not I was completely satisfied with the quality and quantity of food. Like anywhere else, I suck up the price and hope portions don't shrink. read more

We were visiting relatives in Montclair & were leaving to catch a 2:30 flight. My sister-in-law suggested ordering a sandwich to-go & it was the BEST idea! We ordered online & it was ready when we got there. Grabbed & left. We were almost moaning while eating on our sandwiches plane! My husband got the roast beef & I had the chicken Caesar wrap. I wish we weren't a hour flight away! SO DELICIOUS! read more

My wife is obsessed with Jackie's Grillette so I promised her I'd try it. Let's just say that I too am now obsessed with Jackie and her grillette. I got the chicken Caesar wrap and fries. The wrap was so delicious, with super fresh chicken and lettuce and the perfect amount of Caesar dressing. These wraps can be hit or miss because it's overwhelming how much dressing some places use, but Miss Jackie knew what she was doing. The fries to me were the star of the show. They were super crispy and delicious and I honestly could've just eaten these as my main meal (they were that good). Jackie grilette is worth the hype! read more

Jackie's is a staple in the Montclair community. Even though I'm no longer a New Jerseyan, I always make a point to stop by whenever I'm back for their delicious soup and enormous salads. I had the Greek salad, while my daughter opted for the same but added chicken. The lemonade was refreshing, and the mint water was delightful! I absolutely love this place! read more

The new "revised" location in Montclair was a profound disappointment today. Have been a customer for years but some of the changes were not very good. First, wanted to phone in an order for a wrap but told no longer allowed and needed to use app or come in myself in person and wait for sandwiches to be prepared. When I got there was informed they no longer offered a GF wrap of turkey and Swiss but all "luncheon meat" had been eliminated in new space. Needed to select from set menu and none were appealing but ordered the California wrap. Big disappointment! Will need to find another place for take out lunches. read more

The food is fresh, very tasty, good portion size and affordable! Loved it and I'm hard to please. Service was friendly and prompt without being overbearing. The Ambiance is relaxing, good playlist and restaurant is clean, well lit. OMG....i eat here often enough, but haven't alot of the baked goods. I had asked Daniel about rhe chocolate chip scones and he HIGHLY recommended it....OMG was here right. It was soooo good. I just started working in Montclair let me just say I order here every week! The bowls the salads the everything I love this place!

I don't eat breakfast but did order a juice and schawarma bowl for brunch as I attempt to eat a little bit healthier. I slowly drank the beet cleanse juice throughout the morning and it was a lot better than expeced (beet/carrot/green apple/lemon/ginger). Would not be opposed to drinking that regularly. I ate the schawarma bowl later and aside from the feta cheese (not a big fan of heavy cheeses, probably should have asked for it be ecluded) the bowl was packed with all sorts of ingredients and tasted amazing. Plenty of chicken mixed with rice, arugula, pickled cabbage, and chopped salad with tzatziki, there is nothing to dislike about it. I am extremely satisfied with my order and would definitely order from here again. read more

A cozy fast dining cafe in Montclair serving wraps , sandwiches, and bowls as well as smoothies and breakfast foods. This was my first time visiting Montclair and won't be my last !! We situated ourselves at a table to look at the menu & ordered/paid at the cashier counter. I ordered the gyro platter (24$) and my friend the lamb/beef plate (22$). There were pastry goods to choose from & the fun sized baklava caught my eye (so naturally I ordered it). The food came out so quick ! Our eyes boggled at the enormity of our dishes. The chefs gave us generous portions for each component of our meal. I had a great salad, enough tzatziki sauce to dump over my gyro and dip my crispy fries in, and huge pieces of gyro meat. Delicious ! The waitress also came by 2 times to clear our table & make sure everything was okay. Everything was okay! read more

Always delicious!!! Close to home and fast service. There is parking behind if needed.

Jackie's is welcoming and the food and juices are delicious. I love that within a moment of sitting down, staff came by to welcome us and gave us a bottle of water infused with fresh mint. The menu has many options and my vegan companion was able to find really satisfying options. I had the shakshuka. I'd never had it before. I was skeptical at first but I am so glad I ordered it. We'll be returning soon. read more

I ordered the mujadara platter, which I have always ordered for years. I ordered it again recently, and it was delicious! Their taziki is my favorite! The lentils are cooked to perfection and are super flavorful. I need to know what they put in the salad, the dressing is delicious. Their mint lemonade is a staple! My husband ordered the bang bang sandwich, he loved it too! Their fries are perfectly crispy! The service is quick and kind! Things have changed over the years, but they've improved in my eyes! The decor has improved too, they remodeled and it's very modern and clean inside! They make it easy for me to want to come back! read more

The food (the green juice, lentil soup, and falafel sandwich especially!) and the service is the best, always.

Finding a lunch spot that manages to combine healthy ingredients, delicious flavor profiles, and exceptional service can be quite a task. Jackie's Grillette checks all these boxes for me. A must-try is their Shawarma Bowl. This grain bowl is packed with a diverse mix of ingredients, beginning with a solid base of rice and fresh arugula. The highlight, however, is the chicken shawarma - juicy, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. The addition of a vibrant chopped salad, tangy pickled cabbage, creamy feta, and a dollop of smooth tzatziki, rounds off this dish, ensuring every bite is a fusion of Mediterranean flavors. For a slightly different spin on a grain bowl, their Freekeh Bowl does not disappoint. It starts with a base of organic cracked green wheat and fresh arugula, creating an earthy foundation. The chicken kebab is cooked to perfection, providing a hearty protein punch. Adding to the mix are creamy avocado, grilled vegetables, juicy cherry tomatoes, and a generous helping of hummus. Each ingredient in the Freekeh Bowl complements the other, making it a truly wholesome meal. My only real complaint is that the bowls are so big that it's a lot of food for one person but I like them so much I can't stop eating. So when you want something lighter I recommend going with their wraps. Stuffed to the brim with tender, seasoned chicken and fresh veggies, these wraps are a delight to the palate and satisfying to the stomach. In summary, Jackie's Grillette is a place that deserves high praise for its ability to consistently offer nourishing, flavorful dishes. Try it when you are in the neighborhood. read more

I stumbled upon this spot in Upper Montclair for lunch and I was super pleased! For a "quick service" type of restaurant, the service was excellent. The entire team was hustling, both on the floor and behind the counter. I really enjoyed my bowl (and got two full meals out of it) and appreciated the refreshing mint-infused water on a hot day. I look forward to coming to explore more of the menu! read more

Love this place! Small business doing a great job. Went here for a meet and greet and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I opted for the chicken Cobb wrap and the mint lemonade. If you're looking for a cozy atmosphere and delicious food, look no further than Jackie's. I've visited before for breakfast and loved it, and recently came back for lunch and was not disappointed. My friend and I ordered grape leaves, as well as the Santa Fe and SoHo sandwiches. Everything was delicious and fresh, from the bread to the toppings. I highly suggest trying the lemonade- it's made with mint and rosewater and is so refreshing. What makes this place even better is the quick, friendly service. I've eaten here twice and the food does not disappoint. The ingredients they use are very fresh. It's hard to find good salads in NJ, which is why I order salads at most restaurants to gauge the quality of their ingredients, and this place gets it right (thank you!) There is a really great mix of healthful food and comfort food, so there is something for everyone. Most recently I had their Chicken Noodle Soup and fresh squeezed orange juice. The soup was bursting with flavor, it made me so happy. I'll be back! read more
