Very satisfied with my experience here. Going through a divorce I had to move my things rather quickly and this location just happened to be between the place I was moving out of and the place I was moving into so this was my first choice. And I'm glad I chose it. My rate was low (half off special was going on) with no additional fees (contract fees, etc.) so I walked out paying less than I actually thought I would. Steve made sure I looked at the unit I wanted at first and after doing so I realized I didn't need that much space so I downgraded my unit with no issues even though I had reserved the larger space online. The process to rent was easy and quick and I was on my way in less than 30 minutes. Steve was nice and understanding and worked with me to find the best storage solution for my needs. I also love the fact that I can manage my account online (make payments, etc.). The only time I had to wait was when I came back a few days later to move in my unit had a lock on it (it was the property lock) but a quick call to the desk and they sent a security guard right out to take the lock off so I could move in and put my own lock on. Can not believe the previous reviews, I have nothing but the utmost respect for owners Carol and Steve Fahrig. They have been nothing but friendly, kind and professional to me and my family. We have rented a unit from them for approx 3 years, starting out with a smaller unit and transferring to a larger unit about a year ago. They were able to quickly accommodate our change in unit size. The units are very clean and easy to access. They have made me feel like an old friend since day one, In fact, we are moving a little further away from their facility in February and even though there will be another Jack Rabbit Storage facility much closer to where we are moving, we are going to keep our unit with Carol and Steve. My experience with this Jack Rabbit storage was wonderful. I no longer live in Virginia Beach, but had things from my move left with friends that needed to go to storage until I can come and pick them up. NO other storage facility that I called in Virginia Beach would even talk to me once they found out I was out of state. In this day and age I was somewhat surprised a transaction from afar seemed so impossible. I finally called and got a hold of Karen who assured me they could help me. I was able to get a storage unit, have my friends take my things there and get everything done. I was so impressed with their customer service and how much they helped me out. I've been with jack rabbit since I was a teenager living at home with my parents... never once had a probably. I still continue to use them at age 24, out on my own. I would recommend the business to anyone who needed storage. the customer service is great. The properties are safe & secured. The units are clean. This past year we have fallen behind more times than we'd like to admit but mrs Carol& Steve have been so polite & patient with us. When I call to get our payments in it's so much more than just a quick phone call... you can tell they care about more than just the money & when a lot is going on in my world that makes me feel good. I must've visited the right night, because those other reviews are bullshit!! The security guard was completely available and helped us out the entire time! He made it an easy choice for my wife and I to stick with these guys! It's awesome knowing that all of my things are under 24/7 surveillance as well as an open invite to contact the owners with any concerns or questions we might have! No worries on this end. Great Storage Unit Location! This facility has clean units, the compound is kept very clean. They have Security driving around monitoring people and vehicles and providing support, when needed. There is alot of room to bring in big trucks without blocking any one else's units. Management has worked with me on several occasions to meet my requirements. I had a great experience with this location. We had to store some furniture for a few weeks after the Hurricane Matthew flooding in our area. We got half off our first month with a military discount. We loved that the managers are on site and there is on site security. Another plus was the free truck rental to move in to the unit, so we only had to worry about a truck to remove our items. Jack Rabbit claims to offer a "Donation Unit" for its occupants to leave any items they no longer want or need and are told it will be donated to someone who needs the items or can use them. However, THE TRUTH is the units are staged as auction units for the property managers to pocket whatever money they are able to auction the unit for. Best all-around experience renting a storage unit. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My daughter needed to store her entire house hold items while moving, the staff was able to accommodate our needs quickly and affordably. They even offer a moving truck which was very convenient. I have read the previous reviews for this location and can say that my experience has been the complete opposite. The managers that I have come in contact with have all been very personable. We used this location to store a few items we did not need at the time. Moving in was a very quick and easy process. The property was very clean and my unit was freshly painted.
