Flooding was my biggest concern when choosing any storage unit in Virginia Beach, especially in the Hilltop area. So far so good! She recommended products that would be the best solutions for the items I was planning to keep there- but not in a pushy sales way. They do have a pretty solid special of $1 for your first month. They require that you purchase some level of insurance, but the prices are reasonable and this is standard practice for storage facilities. I walked in, met Richard and we were instantly Bestfriends. The process was painless, mostly because I've rented with Extra Space before (different location). I walked in and he was completely prepared! We walked down to see the unit, then back into the office to sign paperwork. I had to buy a lock and some boxes and he guided me through how many boxes I need. What goes in what.... yada yada. Oh! Did I mention the guy was obviously in major pain from an allergic reaction and still continued to smile throughout the process! He deserves a raise, seriously! First months rent free, so that's a plus and the insurance is affordable. They have cameras on site and the place is really clean. I have honestly never had a bad experience with anything here. There was a noticeable decrease in staff being on site, the door locks being busted frequently on building 1500 and a fire in another building on site. These units are barely "temperature controlled" and have high humidity. The inside air was always around 80-84 for the building I was in. I also noticed people storing items that were classified hazmat and other materials that were against policy. I had enough and moved to a different storage company.

Bonnie arranged pick-up and inspection and took multiple photos of the car prior to shipping. This is not half the story. I had problems finding a reputable shipper for two months and during that time, Bonnie kept in contact with me and safeguarded car keys and its valuables.
