I rented a 10x10 storage unit beginning 1/24/2022 with a rate of $128/mo. On 7/22/2022 the rate was raised, with no reason given, to $172/mo. Now I got a notice that they will be raising the rate to $236. When I called them about the rate increase, they said they were allowed to raise rates at any time in any amount they desired. Their operating expenses have not increase that dramatically. They are just greedy and taking advantage of people who have no other recourse. I would highly recommend you do not do business with them. read more

i have to move out of this Public Storage to a different, cheaper storage company. I signed on with a unit in Sept. 2021, since then RENTAL RATE was raised without warning TWICE in the past year. My initial rate was $272, then after six months was raised to $315, now after 13 months was RAISED to $414. GREED is the simple reason for these raises. What operating expenses could a storage business have to WARRANT a 25% raise in price-(from $315 to $414)??? read more

Drove 40 miles and arrived to find my code not working. I'm blocking the entry with a truck and trailer and no way to turn around. I call into the no touch 800 number. They say sorry, I should call their onsite manager in two days when they are back to work. The site is unmanned 2 days a week. I ask for them to open the gate and they say no. Luckily a poor guy stuck behind let's me in and then waits to let me out as a code is needed for exit as well. The next night I find a local person who provides a temp code. She tells me to try my original and I do. To make things worse the screen reads "Billy, please see manager." There is no manager for another day. I had a small window to move and this company was quick to take my money but didn't care about providing the services I paid for. The staff onsite was helpful when there but I need what I paid for when it was promised. Note, the 800 number made me pay before I could see the unit's size. Do not use this place. Note- This was at the General Booth location but the issue was not the local manager but rather the company itself. The issue isn't that the site is unmanned at times, the issue is the company has no way to manager it from afar and were indifferent to what became a crisis. Imagine setting up moving day with help and then being locked out of your storage with only a call center available to blow you off and provide erroneous info. This isn't some vendetta review, this is a true warning to others. read more

I finally I got all my stuff from my storage unit finally cleared out. I did not want to forget to recognize the employees that worked at this facility. This storage facility has been really good to me. The employees that work in particularly at this storage unit have been so tremendously helpful with my situation. They are very professional and made me feel important. I was treated not just like a customer but a friend. I was supposed to be moving to Hawaii. My Husband had transferred my name under the storage unit so I could get it cleared out for him and have our storage items shipped off eventually. I was in shock of how much I was paying monthly for all this junk I needed to clear out of the storage unit. Stuff work kept in here for a year and the price rates went up. They helped me figure a plan to lighten the load. With the help of Danielle and Dana who worked in this facility they have made my transition with clearing out my storage unit so easy. They were even able to help me cut the costs of what I was paying monthly by transferring my unit to a smaller unit. This allowed me to get the first month free and coming out of pocket with less then we were previously paying. Within this transition I decided not to move to Hawaii and kept my storage unit for one more month. They have been really understanding even with getting my locks cut twice on my unit, having misplaced my keys. I didn't have to pay a dime for getting them cut either! I just want to thank the people at public storage for being so friendly and kind, considerate to me. I highly recommend this storage facility! They keep their units clean and secure. Their prices are reasonable. Expect to be given the proper treatment here. read more

Horrible! They have rat infestation there. I drove 5 hours from North Carolina to remove my personal belongings from my storage unit to find rat droppings and urine all over my belongings! Stay away! read more

The property itself is well maintained, which is important And will always speak volumes about quality. I know personally Ive used stone very sketchy looking storage companies in the past. STAY AWAY from this place if you can help it. They accused me of abandoning my unit because I left it unlocked as I was in the process of moving out. After some back and forth with the manager I found out that they had rented my unit to someone else when I had already paid the rent. Then to make matters worse, they tacked on a cleaning for a unit that I had not moved out of yet or vacated in any manner. read more

I've used this company before at the Diamond Springs location and had a good experience the first time. Anthony was the associate that assisted me with my last minute storage dilemma. He was very helpful and patient being that I had to view three different units and also after gathering a ton on packing supplies opted not to buy any of it and it stead shop at Home Depot. This place is great!!! I used public storage when I lived in Chicago and I was happy to see one right next to our house! Rebecca and Susan are awesome!! From the time of me first getting there and asking to see units from the time that I moved my stuff in they were extremely helpful!!
