She helped me get through an uncomfortable situation where the corporation tried to raise my rent by 25% in a six month Period. Do not rent from them There are cheaper and better places. They raise the rent and here is a copy of the letter I sent to Consumer Affairs. I have contacted the Consumer Affairs Department about your abhorrent raise in fees. At a time in our country that we are all trying to survive, the idea that you would raise the per month rent by the outrageous amount, is shameful. I have checked at other storage facilities, that are cheaper and will be trying to move as soon as I am able. In these times it is difficult to arrange for this, but in the meantime, I will be doing everything in my power to make sure that customers and the government are aware of your policies. The consumer affairs is also looking into the amount of increase. read more

They raised the rent $50 a month without even a month's notice. Why is it only NEW customers are offered deals and such and then you just start raising the rate for no reason as a "valued" customer. I can get the same unit a little bit further down the street for a month free and more than $50 less, so time to go! read more

My bill increased by $35.00. I called and spoke to a person somewhere in customer service who was rude and told me that public storage can increase prices any time with no cap! I plan on moving my belongings to another storage as soon as possible. I do not recommend storing here. read more

All I needed to do was purchase some boxes, and it seemed the employee at the moment was more interested in having a conversation outside with someone then to do his job so I can pay. I left irritated unable to get what I needed which would of taken seconds. SUPERVISOR... HIRE COMPETENT PEOPLE WILLING TO JUST STAND THERE AND TAKE MY MONEY. read more

First of all, Geo the manager is great, so let me start by saying that I really like her. She is probably the only reason I have stayed at Public Storage. I have been a good paying customer for 8 years at this location. I needed a bigger unit so I was offered a good deal on a back unit, which is totally inconvenienced by a boat and car parked right outside my unit, which was okay because of the price I was offered. Well, they just raised my rent, same bad location nothing has changed, same boat and cars parked in same place... I do not understand them raising rent not even a year since I moved into this unit. In addition, the gate was broken for a couple months, which is a security issue and again caused a lot of inconvenience having to back out and in to the only gate that opened. I had to move a full storage unit like that, backing out to the other unit because I could not pull into the entrance gate, so I had to drive in reverse most of the move. I hit a barrier with my brand new car because of their delay in fixing the gate, "waiting for a part" for months. As a company, they are quick to raise rates at least once a year if not twice, and really don't seem to care about good long standing customers, or fixing things that are broken in a timely manner. It's all about the money. read more
