She was very knowledgable about the property and was able to answer all my questions and address my concern about the possibility of flooding. Flooding was my biggest concern when choosing any storage unit in Virginia Beach, especially in the Hilltop area. So far so good! She recommended products that would be the best solutions for the items I was planning to keep there- but not in a pushy sales way. They do have a pretty solid special of $1 for your first month. They require that you purchase some level of insurance, but the prices are reasonable and this is standard practice for storage facilities. It's easy in and out with the code and we're able to get in and access our items fairly easily. The only issue is that the road to get to the storage lockers is one-way and small so only one car can fit so you sometimes run into an issue where someone is blocking the road and you can't get to your unit until they move and not everyone is friendly or willing to move/let you by or even speed up whatever they're doing.

Junk cars, people living in their RV, weeds the size of saplings, trash, condoms, holes cut in the security fencing, vehicles on fire in the enclosed lot, poor lighting, nobody in the office to talk to if you have a question or complaint. When you do bring up concerns you are dismissed or at best promised the issue is being taken care of. Our RV has already been hit once but since the security cameras don't work half the time, nothing gets done. Every 6-8 months there is a price increase; the first 2 were without notice. I feel sorry for the multiple businesses being ran out of this place. You set up your space, get clients and you either have to endure the rate increases as the property goes downhill or move and start all over in another location. They need to do better. Please go buy some weed killer and walk your property.

Bonnie arranged pick-up and inspection and took multiple photos of the car prior to shipping. This is not half the story. I had problems finding a reputable shipper for two months and during that time, Bonnie kept in contact with me and safeguarded car keys and its valuables. I am active duty military and needed a unit immediately due to a short notice, long deployment. Ruth (staff member) was very helpful and honest. She was patient and expertly recommended different sizes based on my needs and wants. She also explained their military discount, policies and specials. She was a consumate professional. Here's the painful truth: their unit rent prices are competitive but their moving and packing materials are a bit expensive. Overall, I had a great initial experience and got just what I needed. The customer service here was better than it was at the Public Storage or the MiniStorage facilities near by. Need a storage unit and want the down and dirty on recommended sizes and pricing? Stop in and see AAAA. I don't know what the letters stand for but they are AAAA-Ok in my book so far.
