I've been here twice now and I have concluded that Jack Rabbit is worthy of 5 stars. Front and center is the stellar service. I've been incredibly impressed by everyone with whom I've interacted: hosts, busboys, runners, servers. Every single person is extremely friendly and accommodating. Service is also very prompt. Food comes out quickly and I've never felt ignored. The food itself is excellent. I love the menu. I find its particular variety unique. I absolutely love that rotisserie chicken is one of their features. Try the pulled chicken sandwich made with the rotisserie - so much better than a typical pulled chicken. All the sides are fantastic! From the delicious but naughty (tater tots!!! mmmm) to the delicious and healthy (brussel sprouts, beets!!! mmmm), they're all great. And it's easy to substitute sides if you want to try something different. Good drink list with reasonably priced local beers. NEGATIVE: not enough to detract a star, though it might if this continues. Right now Jack Rabbit seems to be of the impression that patrons always want some sort of live music. NOT SO. It's always so loud here, whether there is a live band or a DJ. The first time I was here was a Sunday afternoon and a DJ was BLASTING music. Still feel like this new restaurant/bar is figuring things out. This is a very laid back atmosphere, not really a place to take your in-laws or a date. 1. The blonde hostess (Wednesday night) approached the booth without a smile or hint of acknowledgement asking if she could seat us or even say hi/welcome. [we waited at the bar for a table outside to become available] 2. The bar didn't really run like clockwork. The male bartender seemed to be more interested in socializing with his friends and pouring their drinks that showed up after we we're seated at his side of the bar. By the time he asked what we wanted to drink the female on the other side of the bar already got to us. 3. The $17 steak sandwich was very small but yummy. The meatballs were pretty good too. We visited on a Friday Night for dinner, so we expected it to be busy and it was. Even with a wedding upstairs, the service was on point, the food was excellent and the drinks were creative and delicious! The atmosphere is fantastic with a great live music stage. Incredible food, service and ambiance. Started the night with the rotisserie chicken and tots, incredible. The dark quarter was moist, incredibly seasoned and overall just delicious. These folks were kind enough to let us take over the back room for the Phish SPAC live stream, our bartender was great to talk to and kept the food, drinks and good times flowing. As I was leaving I decided to try the chicken fingers sub, they're house made and served with a Buffalo hot sauce, blue cheese, lettuce and tomato on a hoagie. The food is always great. The service, less so. We've been before and had to wait for our food, because of issues with staffing. Which is understandable. We waited over an hour last time we went. Our server apologized and said it would be out shortly. The manager then came and we said this is isn't the first time we've had to wait. Her response was, "Well we're busy. I've been wanting to try this out for a while. Last night my gal pal and I had dinner. Atmosphere: laid back, but "brighter" than I thought it would be. Service: quite good; very friendly server especially Food: I really wanted to try the purple mashed potatoes, but they did not have them, so we had to settle for white. The potatoes were served on a plate, instead of a bowl with a small container of chicken gravy. It was a chunky mash, which was fine - but the potatoes were rather bland. I would not recommend if you are looking for something special. We ordered the mahi- mahi fish tacos. We found them to be too dry; a sauce or more sauce was needed. We also ordered meatballs. There were three on a skillet with sauce. We enjoyed these. The meatballs had a very good taste to them, and they were hearty as well. The marinara was on the sweet side, which we liked. Plus we had a Buffalo Chicken Bread-bowl. This item looked great. The filling was excellent - a true Buffalo wing taste, but the bread was nothing exciting. For dessert, we ordered the beignets. We expected a few on a plate, but instead received a "bucket" on a plate. They were served with a good tasting caramel sauce and not nearly enough powdered sugar. Final assessment: Above average, but I was not "wowed." And for the owners childish comment; I've lowered my completely honest review to a "one" - you can hardly call me entitled since I paid for my meal. You've completely lost any respect or endorsement I might have given. A "three" was pretty good considering you rudely decided to redecorate the dining room while people were dining and lights crashed to the ground - glass shattering all over. Grow up. read more

My husband and I went there on beautiful Thursday evening (around 6pm) expecting it to be packed. We were pleasantly surprised when there was a semi full bar but lots of available tables. We ordered the meatballs to start, three nice sized meatballs came out quickly and they were quite good (lightly seasoned, well cooked and served with a nice red sauce). Then we spilt the bacon and ranch pulled chicken sandwich. My husband really liked it and I thought it was good but could use just a bit more ranch, with that said I'd much rather not quite enough dressing than swimming in it so it was fine by me. It came with a side of tater totes that were a fun and tasty alternative to standard fries. We both also really enjoyed the vibe of the place, 70s-80s rock, friendly staff, lots of pride stuff. I've been to this place 4 or 5 times, and every time I've had amazing food. Anything with their rotisserie chicken is incredible. I've tried a couple different sandwiches, and they're always great. The only negatives were that the balsamic dressing they served with the side salad was just straight balsamic, I saw a server rolling napkins on her thighs once, which is a little unsanitary in my opinion! My friend and I decided to go there after I suggested it last night. I looked them up on Instagram when I was looking for restaurants that had Friday Fish Fry dinners. There was a good crowd due to being St. Patrick's Day weekend. We decided to sit at the bar since they have a decent size bar area and was told we can order food and drinks to enjoy there vs seating at a table. Tim was our bartender and he was exceptional!! He took our food and drink orders promptly. We both order old fashioned cocktails and we were impressed with how perfect they tasted. Tim paid close attention to ensure our drinks remained full. I ordered the Cheeseburger with hand cut fries and Rotisserie Chicken with hand cut fries to go. Our food came out very timely while we enjoyed our drinks and chatted. Not sure why the reviews are so high. I ordered wings, tots and mac & cheese for carry out after a starving from a long days work and despite my level of starvation found my food to be inedible. The wings were under cooked with rubbery soggy skin. The tater tots were $11 bucks and undercooked as well, fried to only a very light tan color, not golden brown and crispy. The mac and cheese was flavorless. Pretty much had to trash $42 worth of food on a day that I was beyond hungry. My advice for anyone hungry, stay home and cook. read more

We reserved the Piano room to celebrate a 50th birthday during the 90's Sunday brunch. We were able to decorate the room, and the result was beautiful!! I WANT to like this place so badly, but they are 0 for 2 right now . I was there for a banquet in December and our entire table was served quite literally the worst steak dinner of all time. Burned and charred, but also cold. The entire dinner conversation for our table was about how bad the meal was. I reached out to give a heads up, as I truly do want this place to succeed. They responded, thanked me, and offered me a gift certificate, even though I did not ask for it. I was appreciative. Apparently that steak was not something on their regular menu. Well, I never got a gift certificate. After reaching out again two separate times to follow up, I received no response either time. Tried going there a 2nd time. Convinced my group of 5 to go. I ordered drinks and food at the bar. The food never came. We waited 90 minutes before telling them to cancel it so we could go eat somewhere else. Apparently they forgot about it? Also, my friend was mad they don't serve Corona. Another friend ordered a drink directly from their menu. Bartender had no idea what it was, and turns out they didn't carry it. Other friend put in a karaoke request, which never was called, even though in that period of a couple of hours, others were called to sing 2 or 3 times. Needless to say, I have wanted to give this place a chance. It has a nice vibe. But in 2 times of going there, they have managed to irk almost every person in my two separate groups both times. Didn't see her again for an agonizing amount of time, almost got up and left it was really that long. But she finally came and took our order. We got tater tots, meatballs, and the pulled chicken sandwich. Tater tots were the star of the meal, if that's any indication of where this is going. Perfectly fried and delicious. Served with home made house sauces, which you get choice of honey mustard/ketchup/blue cheese/ranch/hot sauce...not very exciting options for house made, and I don't believe all of those are made in house, our server wasn't even 100% on it either. Meatballs were terrible. No flavor other than an iron like flavor. Not pleasant. The pulled chicken sandwich was supposed to have a honey chipotle bbq sauce. All I got was a sugar sweet BBQ sauce with no smoke from the chipotle. The sandwich was rather bland all in all. Served with a side of purple mashed potatoes which were, likewise, tasteless even with gravy. Server never came back to the table to ask how our food was, not a huge deal, but just one of those little things that added to an already subpar experience. Finished with our meal, and we once again were left sitting there looking at our full plates of food waiting for our server to come back. It took for-ev-errr. When she finally did come back we provided our feedback, which seemed received without much of a care other than shed mention it to the back of the house. No apology or how can we make it right...again, not a big deal I wasn't looking to get anything, didn't want anything, but it's always a good look to make your guests happy if their experience was less than acceptable and they actually tell you that it was. I was a server back in the day, and if a guest told me how unhappy they were I'd have done whatever it took to make them happy. A happy guest might just return. We however will not be. This past Saturday we had a group of 15 for a private back bar party. What an awesome space and the Christmas decorations were amazing. We had open bar for three hours and ordered food off the menu. Adam was our bartender and he took excellent care of us. Kristina who books all the parties is absolutely lovely. She checked on us numerous times to make sure everything was going well. LOVE jack rabbit! They host amazing bands and there's several different rooms each with a slightly different vibe. Basement has pool table and darts. Back bar and room is usually booked for a private party. Only complaint is some of the beers come in 11oz glasses which are tiny and pricey. Otherwise the drinks and food are excellent! read more

This is so the little bar that could... I'm not certain who wrote their really great reviews but my partner and I came here on a slow kind of Wednesday night and we were super disappointed. We had to wait for a table and that's cool it was a nice night so no problem standing outside and waiting. However, we finally got seated upstairs where they had many large parties and we were a table for two and kind of got lost in the shuffle there for a while. Our server with very sweet and she came over and took our order but didn't know what kind of bourbon was in the old-fashioned and that got soon answered and it was cool but my partners Minkey Boodle sour tasted fermented. The AC came on and because of the way the duct work is situated in this particular restaurant it blows on people across the room and suddenly it was freezing. I had to go downstairs and asked a very young hostess if she would ask a manager to come upstairs and turn it down. The guy was very accommodating and talked with us. Very friendly. Once the crowd dissipated from upstairs we were left alone at a two top and our server who again was very sweet kind of forgot about us. Some dude brought our pizza which tasted like Totino's and no plates to eat it with or utensils. I finally got up and found some and the server came back by and was very apologetic but she kind of forgot about us as she said... Down in the bar area you can hear loud laughing and talking and I told her that she should've just asked us to move downstairs and we gladly would have because we kind of felt forgotten upstairs. We ordered their strawberry salad with mixed greens for $14 and asked for blue cheese on the side and what comes out is the blue cheese that you use for dipping wings and not salad dressing. Once we thinned that out with some water it finally worked. I can't say that there was anything wrong with my old fashioned it was actually done very well and I had three of them.
