i am giving this 5 stars for the dedication and hardwork from the guy working everything!!! he was working today, father's day around 10am. he took our drive thru order, got the order together, poured our drinks, took the orders for customers inside and prepped their orders. it was obvious they were short staffed and to see that gentleman busting his butt doing it all is something you don't see often. kudos to that employee and i can't even imagine how entitled and rude people will be to him but our order was perfect!!!! he was friendly and attentive! our food was nice and hot! i really hope the owner or manager appreciates the dedication of this employee. as a previous flame broiler owner, i would be blessed if i had an employee like him. thank you to the worker, i wish i got his name but yeah he was working today, sunday , june 21st around 10am. i pray customers gave him grace read more

I was extremely disappointed tonight. I went in around 11 a younger girl came in something was wrong with her order she didn't seem mad at all. But the manager was so rude to the workers bossing them aggressively belittling them around saying harsh words in Spanish. I know Spanish and what he said broke my heart. I've heard stories of people offing themselves working in fast food. These poor people have no other option but to work these jobs to barely survive. And it's so sad to see people be talked to in such a humiliating, and cruel way knowing the can't leave their job. How inhumane can u be to allow this. genuinely broke my heart. Takes certain shifts 5 min to even respond to their customers in the drive thru. I was asked to pull over to the side to wait for a drink...a drink! And then it was wrong. Diet Coke is not lemonade. Stellar. We got the Chick-N-Tater Melt Munchie Meal, which came with two tacos, curly fries, regular fries, and a croissant with melted cheese atop two patties (one tater tot and one chicken). It was absolutely decadent. The perfect fast food meal to get on a random midnight drive with someone (we shared the one meal and I was satisfied). And all for under $7! Just be aware that the drive through line gets SUPER long, though, especially on weekend nights (even into the early AM hours). But the service is great and the grub definitely worth it. The rudest service I have ever received!!! I showed up to ask if they sold salad. They clearly had garden salad and one other salad type, yet the server said he doesn't know if he has any. I then asked to get 4 of the other type of salad. The server then asked crispy or Jillian, and at first I didn't know if he was talking to me, since he was talking from a distance and there were several other customers beside me. I normally like Jack in the Box in a pinch, but this location is horrible!' The food occasionally gets messed up (which sucks during COVID bc you can't immediately get it resolved like you could if you ate there), but a few screw-ups are to be expected in any food establishments. What makes this place horrible is the "service." This isn't the first time an employee at this location lacked civility, but the employee working the drive-through on a recent Thursday night took the cake. Not just bad service, she SCREAMED at my 70 year old mother, and told her to get out of line bc the employee couldn't find our order number, which we read off to her. TO GO WHERE?!?? They locked the doors (at 8:00 at night)! We used the app and had an order number. She absolutely refused to even look at our order number. We left, and went to Deja Vu. I've worked at the lowest levels of fast food, to actually owning a fast food place here in SB for nearly a decade. I am definitely NOT a "the customer is always right" type of person. And I definitely understand that you never know what someone is going through, so I could just chalk it up to a bad day. But this was so over the top ... (and, as I said, other employees have acted similarly, just not this extreme). TO THE MANAGER/OWNER: what's worse than having this employee(s)? Knowing full well you have problems (judging by the Yelp reviews, this isn't the first time someone complained), and you have chosen to do nothing about it. Husband and I stopped in here the other night because it was late, we were hungry and they were convenient. Ordered a golden oreo shake and some churro bites. Asked to use the bathroom and the men's room was not available but men could use the family restroom (the only one with a door wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs too). The women's was available and we were given the 4-digit codes by an employee I had a slight hard time hearing so I had to ask her to repeat the code 3 or 4 times before I could remember it. Super awkward and inconvenient. Women's restroom was not very clean and super narrow. Golden Oreo shake wasn't blended quite enough - the cookie pieces could only be sucked through the straw with professional strength. Need wider straws if you're going to make them like this. Otherwise food was tasty. Location convenient and open late. "Meh, I've experienced better" sums it up nicely. read more

I ordered a Large water cup because I was dehydrated. The lady said she has to charge for the cup which is fine with me. I was expecting to pay 50 cents for a water cup but the lady charges $3.09 for a cup of water. That is more expensive than the Bottled Water that they sell. Not sure why the lady wanted to charge me so much money for WATER. This place fiercely competes for the title of the Worst Fast Food Location in America every day that its drive thru menu lights are illuminated. This establishment has been the source of personal flashbacks that are filled with utter frustration and hopelessness for the past 6 years. Its been the most atrocious Jack in the Box location I've ever had the misfortune of coming across. This place is the one of the ONLY hot food joints open past midnight in the small suburban town of Goleta, which is why I've had no choice but to bite the bullet and take my chances here so many times. But it's like playing Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun; I always pay the price. The drive thru is incredibly slow and the worker manning the intercom never fails to be the most apathetic excuse for someone who is supposed to take my order. I understand the frustrations of late night fast food jobs, but its no reason to take it out on the customer who is just trying to feed himself after a long shift. The most incrediblely frustrating experience I have had takes place summer of 2018 around 1am. The employee at the drive thru told me they were out of tacos (the most popular menu item) and as i started asking for different items, he simply stated they didn't have them either. I finally pry out of him that they were out of ALL FRIED FOODS besides fries. THATS ALMOST YOUR ENTIRE MENU??? This was pre Covid era! There's no excuse to stay open at that point! On top of that, when i finally settled for a Jumbo Jack combo, he then asks me what i want to drink. I say a Dr Pepper. He says "We only have orange juice". Flabbergasted, I ask for a water. To which he responds in the most monotone robotic voice "We only have orange juice no water". Let me tell you, I had never felt a greater urge to assault a complete stranger until after that comment. The workers here deliberately make it their job to give you the most piss poor experience imaginable because they just know your starving a*s is here out of pure desperation. I have never wanted to see an establishment crash and burn so hard in my entire life. This location is so trash that this is my first public review of any restaurant EVER. Even tried to call the phone number, knock on the door, ANYTHING and the least they could've done was open the door and let me know for certain the dining area was closed at an unusual time? Even if dine in was somehow removed due to covid and drive thru was the only option, couldn't they have just updated their hours? TERRIBLE JACK IN THE BOX. AVOID, especially if your a driver for a delivery service!!! Came to pick up an order, and I also had another food pickup right after, and could not get in, all the doors were locked. They had a sign that said for pickups use the front door yet the front door was locked with no employees in sight. Finally I spotted an employee inside and they just motioned with there hand that I had to go around, like through the drive through. I showed her with my phone that I had a delivery to pick up, but she still motioned like she was driving a car, which meant I had to go around through the drive through, which had a long line! I came around and asked the next driver in line, who was a sweet lady if I can pick up my order ahead of her, she was so kind and let me. So I asked the guy in the drive through window if I could just pick up my Ubereats order and her immediately freaked out and said I could not be in the drive through since I was not in a car. I kindly told him I was just trying to pick up my order and I didn't have time to wait in the drive through line. He just kept saying I could be there. Didn't know what to do, so I had to cancel my delivery. There where about 4 workers in there that I seen, one of them could have easily handed me my delivery and I would have been on my way. The lack of common sense at this Jack in the Box was baffling! Reported this place to Uber so they can hopefully stop all orders from here. read more
