When I went in all the staff were nice and gave me attention with a kind greeting. It smells a bit like cleaning products in here but I wasn't mad at it everything looked clean and fresh salsa bar was great woth salsa, some pickled jalapeños and onions, limes. All the works really. Today I got a regular burrito, and it's loaded. There is rice beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo. My total was about $16 without a drink, which as a student is a bit pricey. however I felt like I got good value and it seems like they get slow buisness. I don't prefer it to free birds in Isla Vista but I found it to be filling, cheaper, and with a salsa bar I really enjoy. Maybe I'll stop by before work another time! read more

No comments on service since we were leaving Santa Barbara and heading back to the Bay Area so we wanted to grab something (other than fast food) that we could eat in the car. The burritos were generously big and tasty, but mostly rice and beans. It was a good grab for a road trip and everybody was satisfied. This spot is my go to when I'm in the area. The nachos are delicious! I can tell the beans are homemade and they totally remind me of how my great grandmother used to make hers. On my latest visit I tried their flying burrito with charred steak. It was filled with rice, beans, cheese, and plenty of meat! Usually burritos lack meat but not this one. I've also had their chicken quesadilla but It wasn't as good. I was expecting the chicken to have that charred flavor but it was pretty bland to me. I would order the steak instead next time. The salsas are delicious! If you want a spicy salsa then be sure to ask for it. They only give you the milder ones unless you specifically ask for hotter salsa. There is limited seating inside and a few tables outside. Customer service here is quick and to the point. Overall a good spot to pick up some quick and delicious food! read more

The restaurant is very straight forward. Very modest appearance, a counter to order, several tables to dine in. There is no pretentiousness to this place at all. Worth checking them out. The cashier was talking to another customer that was at their table when we came up, they looked like a regular. Regardless, the cashier was quick to acknowledge us and help us with our order. Good guy over all that I felt make my first visit a pleasant one. I felt the portions were fair, a touch on the more expensive side for the portions and how good I felt the food was, but not unreasonable. Ordered a full rack of ribs and 2 lbs of tri-tip. This was to feed 4 adults and a toddler. We received a good amount of rice and beans along with tortillas. It was the right amount of food for the amount of people. Again, price felt a little on the steep side of good value, but I am used to Santa Ana/Anaheim/LA prices for this type of food. Would I come back? I wouldn't be opposed if I was already in Goleta. For this price point, it would put it as a comparable to Buster's BBQ in Ventura, which I would prefer. read more

Went in after a Target run, place is clean. Easy to order. I ordered the chicken and rib plate. The rice and beans were good. The rib was basically just bone. Very, very little meat. Most of it was too hard to even chew. The bbq sauce on it was too sweet. It didn't have a great flavour overall. The chicken was alright. It was a bit bland but because it was covered in the rib's bbq sauce, I couldn't really taste the chicken at all, just the sauce which was disappointing. Love this place! Chicken is amazing. There is a wonderful flavor and sabor with the chicken. Best chicken in town. The salsas and pico de gallo are so good. Great amount of heat and flavor. Tried the ribs tonight for first time. They are beef ribs with a savory rub, not a bbq sauce southern style rib, but still really good. Tasty tasty!! I will use those bones for my beef bone broth. Back when I was a gaucho in the 90's Jerry's Pollofino was the bomb. It was an incredible deal, and the food was excellent. We came back with our children (all teens) to show them the campus and to reminisce about our younger life together. The place has changed a bit, and I don't know if "Jerry" is still there, but the food is fantastic. Back in the day, it was only chicken but has now expanded to include tritip and ribs. Along with those changes, the prices have increased as they should have, and I still think it's a great value for what you get. I didn't give the fifth star due to a couple of reasons. First, my meal was a combo with chicken and tritip. The chicken quarter was really small and the amount of tritip was not what I expected. Additionally, the prices as stated on yelp are vastly understated and need to be updated. For an establishment to be true to itself, weather the storms of business, and to survive for three decades is nearly a miracle, and I hope it's around in 30 more. I will be back the next time I am in town and you should visit as well! read more

Wow! I dig beef ribs. Who would have thought that a place called Pollofino would have such tasty ribs? I didn't and was blown away not only by the ribs but also the chicken. I don't know their secret but the flavors and juiciness is off the hook! My wife and I got the chicken salad and no. 3 combo (quarter chicken, rib, rice and beans) plus two drinks for $35. My family has come to really love Pollofino. In Santa Barbara we have a lot of options for Mexican food, and so I tend to be very picky about it. Pollofino exists in a sphere of its own, and stands apart by focusing on charbroil chicken. The chicken was beautifully cooked, and the portions were fair. The skin was crisp while the meat was still juicy, and the marinade was yummy. We started ordering their burritos, and appreciate their inclusion of pico! We had food for 180 employees and he was able to accommodate all our requests. We had to make some changes a few weeks before the event and we were able to pivot to address the weather concerns. Best Mexican restaurant in ALL of Goleta and Santa Barbara, possibly the world as I have yet to have better. Lived here for 8 years from college to starting work. I have ate at Pollofino more than any restaurant during those 8 years in SB....most likely ate here more than any restaurant I've ever been to in my life... and for good reason! Everytime my friends and family would visit, I would always bring them here first. The food is healthy, delicious and affordable! Now that I moved to the Bay, my wife and i still dream of this place. Their chicken salad has helped me loose weight many times while on a diet, all with a smile on my face. Their ribs are to die for, ask to substitute the beans for a side salad! The ribs burito is amazing for leftovers. And the chicken is cooked perfectly Everytime. A cold horchata on the side and man you will be in heaven !! As an Angeleno it's been hard to find good, fresh, tasty Mexican food in Goleta/SB, especially if you want your money's worth. This place is great, I've enjoyed everything I've tried. My boyfriend introduced me to the chicken salad which is always very fresh, lettuce crunchy, good variety of veggies and a nice portion of chicken. It's one of my favorites for lunch or dinner. There's no dressings but the pico de gallo and salad is tasty on its own and you won't really miss it. I like it with some lime.
