    Chicken Tenders

Used to be my favourite go to restaurant for a night out, but I just find the food has not been the up to par as it used to be! I still love to order their Chicken Tenders in the Stinging Bee sauce, but I don't really have any other suggestions that I would try. Wish they brought back their original Mexican Chicken Bowl! 6/10 recommend!

This place was packed even at 9pm on the weekend! We had to park way past Metro. I'd also recommend calling in for a reservation, unless you're fine with the bar section. They offer a great range of food for a bar type of establishment. We ordered their lobster dip, truffle steak and salmon. The lobster dip (21$) came with pita and nacho chips. I enjoyed the dip; however I did not feel like there was enough dip for the amount of pita and nacho that was given. The salmon main course (34$) was okay, nothing special. Our favourite dish of the night was their truffle steak (45$). I believe it usually comes with truffle fries as well, however we substituted it for garden vegetables. The sauce was so rich and flavourful, and we felt like the served us decent piece of steak! Surprisingly, we would choose this steak over the steak at the keg any day! The service was slow, but not non existent. Good place to watch a game with the friends, or a super casual date. It is loud in there, so don't expect to be able to carry a long conversation.

We were at this location to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary and had a wonderful time! The food was pretty delicious and the service was great. We ordered Beef Barbacoa Tacos for appetizers and New York Steaks for our Main Course. The tacos' beef filling was very flavorful. The steaks were cooked exactly the way we liked, medium rare towards the rarer side. The seasonal vegetables were very fresh. We got a complimentary dessert for celebrating our anniversary at Jack's which was very thoughtful and sweet! The ambience was great and the cocktails we ordered were also lovely. This is one of the best locations we've been to so far and quite impressed by everything. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you'd like to enjoy your special occasion. Thanks to the awesome staff for the lovely evening!

We went tonight to the Jack Astors this evening for my birthday dinner at the Shoppes at Don Mills It's a fairly busy location especially for a weekend When we got there it was 30-40 wait however we requested to sit outside and there was no wait at all They had heaters on the patio which helped out We started with the wonton nachos It was a cool fusion take on nachos I had the beef barbacoa tacos with fries They had a nice lil kick to them My wife had the chicken tenders ....the naked and afraid version For my birthday....I got a nice little brownie to celebrate Overall it was nice meal Our server was friendly and nice A great night overall

11 ounce New York Steak with rice and vegetables.

Ordered the $38 New York Steak but I don't like potatoes with my Steak so I asked if I can get rice Instead. The server said no problem getting rice INSTEAD of the potatoes but didn't tell me I would get charged an extra $4 for the substitution. The food was excellent, I just didn't like the underhandedness of this. I had already ordered 3 drafts at $11 so my bill was $86 before the tip. Ended up paying $98 after the tip but did not appreciate the nickel and dimming

Came here for dinner with family on a Thursday night. We got the beef nachos for the appetizer, and it was insanely dry. There was only a small amount of melted cheese on top, and even that looked plasticky and dry. For my main, I got the grilled Cajun salmon and I liked the quinoa and salsa, but the salmon was soo salty! I couldn't finish it because it felt like straight up swallowing salt. The rice was also quite dry. The quinoa definitely redeemed the dish. This is my second time at jack astors and I feel like this is just not the place for me.

The stacked nachos was a great deal. Good amount of food for a fair price maybe the best bang for my buck in Toronto yet. Service es very nice even though we tested them on many things they were firm and kind. It's a nice bar. Not a dive, they have Gary Larsen images all over the walls here (The Farside) I asked if they were originals but the staff didn't know.

Food and service was good, portions were ok. The app leaves a bit to be desired and doesn't have a lot of deals!

Awful service, awful starters, and the worst was the store manager with no customer service skills. Do not waste your money there.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

We walked up without reservation and were given a ticket and told to head upstairs. We were seated right away and luckily got there before the rush before the game. I had sliders and my son had the flatbread pizza. We enjoyed both. The atmosphere is pretty cool with large screen tvs and everywhere. A gentleman waiter offered to take a picture of my son and I which was nice of him. We will return.

The new location has two levels, a beautiful open concept floor plan and a large outdoor patio. We walked in on Saturday (World Series Game 2) and were seated immediately. Gord and I had Pep & Cheese pizzas (10" New York style pizza, pizza sauce, Ezzo pepperoni, mozzarella, oregano and Grana Padano cheese) and we both took half of our pizzas home for lunch tomorrow. Rosemary had Mac and Cheese (creamy mac and cheese made with our beer and cheddar sauce, topped with melted cheese, shaved scallions) and Chicken Tenders - Kids Combo (3 kid-sized buttermilk marinated, panko-breaded chicken tenders; served with thick cut french fries, plum sauce and ketchup) ... the mac and cheese looked delish and she took half home but the chicken tenders were overcooked. Kevin had a Chicken Clubhouse Sandwich and fries (classic clubhouse sandwich served on 3 pieces of toasted white bread, stacked with grilled chicken breast, shredded lettuce, tomato, Swiss cheese, bacon, guacamole and chipotle aioli spread). Alfred had a Margherita pizza (10" New York style pizza, pizza sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and Grana Padano cheese). Christine had a Chicken Caesar Wrap (grilled chicken breast, romaine, parmesan, caesar dressing, wrapped in a 12" flour tortilla) and took half home. Ocean was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us. For some reason, the 3 pizzas came out about 15 minutes after the other meals so they were almost finished by the time we started.
