I can't say enough about JR POOLS & SPAS!! Jorge was great very professional, very humble and made you feel as if it's a privilege for him that you're doing business with him! He kept me up to date every step of the way & I like that!! His team did an amazing job and exceeded our expectations of what we wanted! The craftsmanship and details that went into everything was just perfect! We now have our Oasis that we wanted! If you want a pool installed or remodeled I would definitely everytime recommend JR POOLS!!

We hired Tropical Breeze to complete a driveway replacement in July of 2023. Shortly after the…read moredriveway was completed and the final bill was paid, we noticed large unsightly dark spots all over the entire driveway. Some of the bigger spots measure over five feet long and three feet wide. We contacted JJ, the owner via text to explain the problem and attached plenty of photos. We also asked if he would return to the job site to look at the dark spots in person. He was very dismissive from the get-go and said there wasn't much that could be done and to wait until the summer to see if the spots lightened up or go away. We waited the recommended time and the large unsightly dark spots did not go away. We reached out again via text explaining the problem did not improve and again asked to schedule a phone call to discuss. He was again very dismissive and tried to blame it on the sprinklers this time. We then called his cell phone and the company line and left messages that went unanswered. We ended up having other contractors survey the driveway and gave us several probable causes that all pointed to poor workmanship. The bottom line is JJ claims that the work they do is under warranty but in reality, it is not. He will worm his way out of taking any responsibility for the work they do if it doesn't come out right. The only recourse you have is if you haven't made the final payment yet. But with concrete, you make the payment when it's completed, and it can take weeks to cure. They are capable of doing good work as they did work on the backyard that came out fine. The problem with Tropical breeze and dealing with JJ is that if anything goes wrong, he won't do the right thing to correct the problem if he already has your money. This case ended up in a legal battle. Ask yourself this, why would you bother dealing with a contractor like this if there are plenty of other choices out there. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. See the photos of the driveway taken 1 to 2 years after completion of the project and decide for yourself if this product is acceptable.

They fixed the coping, and the grout so It's now back to looking great and works good. We have now had the pool for almost 2 years I believe and nothing else has gone wrong. I only wish they responded sooner because 6 months was a long time to wait. Their work on the pool itself is beautiful so if they can fix their response time for future clients, you'll be in good hands.

Had an interesting experience here First time in the store…read moreand WILL NOT GO BACK !! Did an online order for same day pick up, about 12pm received a email it was ready. Went to get it and the girl there was definitely doing her best the place was packed with customers and overwhelmed to help them all alone she AT THE TIME was helpful, nice, and smiling unfortunately she had no record of my order told me should could get it all together if I wanted to wait since I already paid for it, i told her no rush I gave her the information told her I'd come back later she thanked me and I left. My order in that moment could wait till later FAST FORWARD to about 5:15pm I walked in inquiring about my order that I assumed would be ready unfortunately the girl I met earlier in the day her whole attitude had changed no longer was she smiling had a look of I hate my job and had NO level of customer service left in her... she explained and due to an Eos update ( no idea what she was talking about ) there systems are all "messed up" I asked her what do I do she then said "cancel your order and buy it in the store ", ... but I already bought it I spent over $300 on the order I asked for a number to call and complain to, although I understand systems are down not my problem especially when she told me earlier she'd get it all together SINCE I ALREADY Paid for it !!! Then a gentleman walked in she just stopped talking, helping me and turned her back to me and started to ignore me and help then gentlemen WHAT THE HELL ??? Ok message received you didn't want to help me further so I went on the app canceled what I could And in a store I've never been in started looking for the items I needed Found most of them then had to ask her for help to which she replied " I would have helped if you asked " ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????? I told her well you were helping me until you got tired of it and turned your back to me. I didn't know we were done talking until you started ignoring me and helping someone else, She got very silent probably cause she knew she was wrong. Now in the store I ended up paying over $400 for the same order. I already placed earlier absolutely ridiculous !! on top of this I had received discounts online and this girl assured me I would get those same discounts and when I looked at the receipt, surprise surprised, but not really no discounts were given !!! With no hesitation I informed her that this whole experience was bs and how the Customer Service went for helpful to I don't care is wildly unprofessional!! In one day I spent over $700 ..

All their service technicians are very responsive and reliable. Geo did the first assessment. He answered all my questions and did a good job in the first pool cleaning. My regular technician is Erik, he also answered my questions and concerns. He is doing a great job in maintaining our pool. I would highly recommend their services. The monthly cost is reasonable.

I've had Poolgenx for about 1 1/2 yrs. It's hard now a days to get a pool service that is…read morereliable, knowledgeable n good with pets. Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.

I bought my home in the summer of 2024 and during the inspection was told, very matter‑of‑factly,…read morethat I had maybe one--possibly two--good summers left before the pool would need resurfacing. Spoiler alert: that prediction was spot‑on. The black algae that had been lurking in the decades‑old plaster started popping through like an uninvited guest who really doesn't take a hint, no matter how hard I tried to fight it. After a summer packed with great pool parties (worth it), I decided winter was the perfect time to handle the pool glow‑up. So I did the responsible homeowner thing: I got quotes. Five companies later, I had prices ranging from $8,500 to $20,000 and a surprising number of "optional upgrades." One vendor even offered to put a turquoise tortoise--yes, an actual mosaic tortoise--at the bottom of my pool for an extra $3-4K. Did I want it? Absolutely not. Do I adore the phrase "turquoise tortoise"? Absolutely yes. In the end, I chose Waterscape, mostly because the pricing made sense, and the communication was quick and easy via text. My only real goal was simple: resurface the pool, update the tile, and keep the whole thing under $10K. Mission accomplished. They sent over a DocuSign, gave me a one‑week December timeline, and the whole thing ran like a well‑oiled (and extremely punctual) machine: Monday, 9am-12pm: Full demolition of the old plaster Wednesday, 9am-1pm: Tile installation Saturday, 9am-12pm: New plaster poured And just like that: Brand‑new pool! After that, I stuck to the four‑week maintenance plan--daily brushing, treating the water, and absolutely zero heating of the pool or spa. Now that the curing period is done, the hot tub is officially back in action. Overall? Five stars. Smooth process, clear communication, no turquoise tortoises forced upon me, and a pool that's finally as ready for summer 2025 as I am.
