We hired this company to build our pool and the construction process was not to our standard. Items in our backyard were broken, material everywhere, making my backyard look like a disaster. The process took much longer than promised as well as lack of communication on their part. The materials used were not correct and they even forgot to add an extra pump So my pool and spa could be working at the same Time. As soon as they finished the plaster, it was completely contaminated with dirt and debris. And when I brought it up to them, they had no answer or solution for it. After a few months, the pool plaster start to change color and have black/ brown spots all Around. The coping is totally discolored and I up completely not satisfied with the work. When I requested a warranty on the coping and plaster, they never gave us a solution or a proper answer. We would not Recommend their service to anyone. read more

Joseph is incredibly awesome to work with - you can call or text him any time of the day and he will always respond in a timely manner. John is the pool guru! He was awesome and showed up to every step of our inspections to make sure they were signed off. Inspector tried leaving once because he said he didn't see the job card to sign off! Our pool start to finish was completed in two months! Quicker than promised . We were told roughly four months. I guess we got lucky. Carlos did the Rock work and he is a hard worker. Finished all rock and paint in less than two days. We had him change the color 3 times to get it perfect and he was happy to do so. When southwest gas came to hook up our gas line he asked who did our pool because he had never seen such a clean install and he said it made his job 100x easier. Last year my wife and I were looking into adding a swimming pool on our property, we had about 5 different pool company's come out to give us estimate two of the pool company's sales reps gave me the feeling I was wasting there time, one pool company told me what I wanted for a pool and there was the (used car sales man) smelled like cigarettes chewing gum cheap suit hell it was funny. Then Joseph from Custom pools showed up no joke this guy reminded me of family, down to earth no B.S up front about everything no pressure sale he even kept in touch with us during our quest for a pool. The pool turned out fantastic and his crews and subcontractors were top notch and professional. He can construct anything from mild to wild depending on your budget. The scope was far more than the pool which included all new decorative patio concrete, patio cover, fences and gates, new driveway and electric sliding gate, lighting, and also utilities for a future built in BBQ island. That "pool builder"s name was Rick with Ricks pools. He was not even a licensed pool builder unbeknownst to my client. All new energy efficient equipment, 2 cycle pool pump, salt water, automated system that runs off our phones, and the best part is that we took our deep end and shored it up to about 5 feet deep, added an additional huge shelf up by the spa in the shallow end and now our pool is like a resort pool! Our experience with Custom Built Pools is beyond what can be described here. We needed 'custom' professional work at the lowest price possible. We finally came to a verbal agreement with John Rasmussen, as to what we needed, and for it to be completed as 'quickly as possible and at the lowest cost'. Within a few days a massive crew came to remove the old stucco, the following day a second large crew came to apply the new stucco with the color of our choice. At completion we were 'more than amazed' at the final results, it was more than gorgeous with all new jets, returns, etc. Due to our built-in 'confidence' in their work, we asked John if his team could repair our defective pool pump. He sent his son Chuck, who quickly discovered the problem and repaired it at a 'more than reasonable' price. John built me a rock pool in my backyard two years ago. This was a very large pool 40X16 also accompanied by a patio. Instead of dealing with three different contractors I only dealt with john who coordinated the whole work. When I first hired John he told me it would take two and a half months to finish everything. He finished the job in two and a half months to the day and he built me the most amazing rock pool that you could imagine. This was a sophisticated job since the pool involved three different pumps and I could not have been more pleased. Although the contract stipulates that there is a one year warranty John has been available anytime I call him for instructions and clarification until I learn everything about the pumps of the pool. Every time I call him he was there. I have never had such service in my life and let me tell you that I am not one to write reviews. This is the second review I have written in my life but I wanted to write it because I have never been as satisfied with the work that John did. The pool that he built me has be envied by all of my friends. I can tell you in all honesty that I haven't dealt with anyone more professional and more knowledgeable on this subject. I will only go to John from now on for any work that I have to do in my backyard. John even went so far as to invite me to his house before he built the pool so that we could clarify all the arrangements about my pool.
