The final step of our owner build pool was plaster. We obtained 6 pebble quotes: 2 for Pebbletec and 4 for NPT Stonescapes. Of these, Baron Pools was one of the most competitively priced. Plus, they are one of the few certified installers for Pebbletec, and so we went with them. Erika was very helpful throughout the process and answered all of my questions. Some of our other, more expensive quotes included prepping the shotcrete for plaster, but Baron's quote did not include this. It was up to us to ensure the pool was ready for the crew to plaster. We spent a few hours removing the excess shotcrete and pressure washing, and then Salvador came out before the plaster date to confirm the pool was ready to plaster. It was worth the work for the savings. Baron stuck to their timeframe, came out on the stated date, and returned the following day to acid wash. We are very happy with the services they provided. read more

The entire crew that came out was wonderful. All in a good mood, all joking around, all very professional when they got down to business; the team was a well oiled machine. Gabriel and Martin, in particular, are awesome - but honestly, everyone was amazing. The pool's PebbleSheen came out beautiful, great attention to detail and overall quality was outstanding. Once the pool was plastered, they went back through to double check everything. Pool area was cleaned and once the acid wash was done on day two, everything was neatly cleaned up. Overall a great experience with these guys! Thanks so much!!! I've attached a few images of the work while it was in progress. Will refer to them in the future for sure! read more

We had PebbleTec installed in our pool in lieu of a re-plaster job in 2011 by Baron Pool Plastering, shortly thereafter we had some drainage issues with our irrigation drain in the middle of our back yard. I discovered the crew dumped excess PebbleTec into that drain, which then hardened and ruined the entire line out to the curb, it had to be replaced. I asked Baron Pool to pay 1/2 the fee which Roto Rooter charged to excavate and lay the new pipe, Baron did pay after a few calls and e-mails and photographs to the person who was supposed to be overseeing the job. The next year we noticed cracks along the upper deck of the pool and PebbleTec crumbling off into the pool. Baron came out to repair it, however they did not patch much, they actually cut away more of the PebbleTec along the upper rim and actually damaged the concrete ridge under the concrete deck, they then smeared silicone over and around the pool edge again and were apparently done. Now this summer July 2013 we have more of the same problem and I have sent Baron 2 e-mail messages and have not received a reply as of yet, I'll keep you posted on the progression and the final outcome. read more

Just had Baron out to fix small problem with pool. They have worked on two of my pools and have really stood behind the work they did. Would work with them in the future. They completely remodeled the pool at our new home and did a great job, including equipment coping, tile and new pebbbletech. read more

The problems started right from the start. First, they broke both skimmer dams, but did not say anything about it. Next, they left plaster debris hidden in the bushes and which I found a month later. The plaster was rough and trowel marks were common. Then some equipment that they were supposed to replace showed up and was installed, and it was clearly used/salvaged from another job. I refused it and final payment, and they finally brought out new equipment and installed it. Wow, it did not need to be that difficult. Fast forward. The plaster has not held up well. It appears the binder they used is showing, which suggest to me it is bleed through or thin plaster. Their guy came to look and tried to stand it off, to no avail. He scratched his head and then suggested getting an acid bath. I was up against the warranty and no time to spare. I'm reluctant to work with this company, but only getting 5 years out of a 20 year plaster job hurts. But given their past performance, I may just forgo the warranty claim and deal with someone else. Update: Forget about any warranty. They have no intention of honoring any warranty. I finally gave up and will just get the job done by a competent, customer friendly company. I do plan to file a compliant with the contractors license board too. read more

In one word... UNRELIABLE. Called to make an appointment for full PebbleTec plus tiling and coping of a 34,000 gallon pool. Estimator did not show up for appointment and did not respond to calls. Office staff unhelpful and showed that they did not care or needed the business. No call backs to reschedule. I am glad I found out their unreliability to keep schedules before contracting the job and not afterwards. read more

This company went above and beyond to give me the pool finish that we though could only dream about. Choosing the pool finish was the most stressful part of the pool build experience for me but they took all the stress away and made it into a exciting and worth while moment. Last September they offered the Blue Surf pebble sheen with abalone shell and luminous blue blend for my pool finish. This selection was a first for them but they felt it would be exactly what we were asking for. My pool is about 93 feet in diameter with the deepest being six feet and we wanted it to look more blue then gray or green. They gave me a 12X12 inch example that I was able to put under water to test and it was absolutely beautiful but could they get it to look like the example in the whole pool? Well they did!! The day of the job they prepared the area to minimize overspray once they were finished the area looked as if they were never there. The customer service has matched their work as well. They have contacted me numerous times to make sure everything was good and that was satisfied with their work. I would recommend this company to anyone that is looking to make their existing pool or a new pool their dream pool. If I had to do it all over again I would not change a thing. thank you. read more

Our pool plaster was originally installed in '07 with a 'knock-off' Pebble-Tec applicator. Over the years it has faded from a blue to white, and we have battled an on-going black algae issue, which became very frustrating this summer... We wanted an actual Pebble Tec applicator. Contacted two PT applicators. One, was going to simply apply over our old plaster? Baron was going to remove the old plaster and proceed. We had an upcoming planned celebration for our young granddaughter scheduled-which left us a very small possible window. Spoke with Baron customer service after we received out prompt quote. They provided us a schedule that, only if this schedule were met, we would literally be filling the pool a couple days before the party... We decided to take this chance and hired Baron. I could not have been more pleased. Each crew showed up as planned (keep in mind this was the brutal heat we had this July '18). Each crew left as if they were never there. Job site was always cleaned. Their customer service (Adrienne) was so helpful and was available to answer questions. We are so thrilled with our 'Tahoe Blue' Pebble Tec. The perfect finish and color for us. The job was finished on the exact day the original schedule indicated. Thanks so much Baron Pool Plastering-SB. Jim read more

Wow, I'm really surprised at the negative reviews. Baron came out last year to re-plaster and re-tile my very aging and ugly pool. They came out in a timely fashion to give me a quote and were extremely accommodating. I had drawn a sketch of what I wanted and they used the sketch to place all the tile. When I didn't like some of the arrangements of tile, they even removed work that had been done and replaced it to my liking. They were honest about upgrades and never pressured me into any additional work. I changed my mind half way through the remodel and went with Pebbletec. This did not delay the finishing date at all. In the year since the work was done, one tile fell off. They came out without any hesitation and repaired the missing tile. I would recommend them to all friends and family. read more

I have used this company twice now, should have learned the first time but I didn't. After being 3 weeks past due I finally had to blow up at sales rep to get moving on job. There finish work and clean-up is terrible. I had almost 20 yards of cement poured and the extra dirt is just in piles I guess for me to get rid of. There is a sprinkler leak under new concrete that they repaired before cement pour but I was told oh let your gardner try and fix. I have spent over $65000 dollars with this company over the last 18 months on two pool remodels and this is what I get. Was promised that they would be out to do start up, well the pool is full salesman came by to see left no start up leaving for my pool man to do. Did not even turn on power to pool. Please do not ever use this company if you do you will be terribly unhappy. read more

Plastering the pool...great. But the cleanup work of this company was terrible. They left cigarette butts in my backyard and trash all over the place. They wanted to use their radio while they worked (which I understand) but they took the extension cord off my Christmas lights and didn't even bother to put it back or reset my timer. They also asked to borrow some rags and then never returned them. Should have checked Yelp before I hired these guys. read more

After using this company, they loosened out switch box that controlled the spa in search of lighting wires and now they accused me of doing it. Can't get them to put it back the way they found it. Terrible customer service and they clearly don't stand behind their work. read more

I called them to redo my pool deck and was told they would also need to redo my tile because my pool had a cantilever pool deck and the tile would crack upon removal. Then I was asked how old my pool was and said I would also have to have the plaster replaced because it would dry and flake when they drained the pool to do the tile. They sent out Todd Karcher as their salesman to give me an estimate. He measured everything that needed to be done and gave me an estimate. I approved the estimate and they said they would start in 2 weeks. They sent out someone to drain the pool on Thursday and were going to remove the tile, plaster & pool deck Friday. No one was home Friday while they removed the tile and plaster and made a hole in the pool deck to start its removal. About 6:30 Salvador shows up at my home and asks to see how far they got that day and proceeds to tell me he was here because their employees stopped removing the pool deck because it was more square footage than the estimate said and that they fired Todd in between the time my contract was signed and them starting the work because he miss quoted another job. I asked him why then if they had fired him for miss quotes why didn't anyone come and check mine out BEFORE they demolished my pool. He said he didn't know but Monte would call me. (Todd the UNLICESED salesman they sent to my house was actually arrested for FRAUD prior to them starting my job you can google it to verify) Monte called me Tuesday to say it would be another $10,000.00 to finish the job. In my opinion this is a very deceptive business practice they demolish everything and then come out the same night and say oops we made a mistake it is now more($10,000.00) money. If their employees knew the square footage and stopped to tell them it was wrong why did they demolish everything first? I was not home to tell them what they were doing that came from Baron's. It seems to me to be VERY DISHONEST COMPANY in MY opinion but you can make your own conclusions. Please google Todd Karcher that their UNLICENSED Salesman was arrested for FRAUD but I think it is a WHOLE COMPANY SCAM who says it will almost double in contract price on the SAME day they demo everything? I did take it to the State Contractors Board Arbitration and was awarded the money to put my pool back into the condition it was before they destroyed everything. I feel by winning the award amount that I did it shows that I was not the only one who felt that this was not how it should have ever been handled. read more
