I had to get a new pool service after ours totally neglected our pool, so my first experience with Poolwerx was with David and Ken who rescued our pool over 3 days of brushing, vacuuming, chemical treatments, and 2 full filter cleanings after a large algae bloom developed, and the filter had been left uncleaned for a very long time. After they rescued it, Mike has been keeping it properly maintained and is very good at keeping me up to date on what he does and what he observes. I love my pool now, and I can't stop telling them. Also shout out to the office staff, and to substitute techs Alex, Caleb, Kenny, all professional and thorough. I took my Polaris pool sweep to Poolwerx for repair. They kept it for 5 days and told me nothing was wrong with it. I took the pool sweep home and it still didn't work correctly. I decided to take the pool sweep apart myself and I found several problems that Poolwerx didn't find, and I wonder how closely they even looked. We love our weekly service person David. He's always honest, reliable and we feel we can trust him. However, if a problem occurs and they need to dispatch a service technician, definitely, seriously get a second opinion. Our salt system went out and it was determined, (correctly) that the the mother board on the control panel needed to be replaced, as well as the salt cylinder. The repair technician dispatched quoted us $2700.00 to fix the problem after paying the $99.00 estimate fee. I was able to easily repair both components myself in less than an hour at a cost of $618.00. Everything is working perfectly. I understand that companies need two make a fair margin on their services, however I believe that $2700.00 is a bit excessive. read more

I have had many years of very good service here from the time the company was known as Redlands Pool & Spa. Recently I had the pool filter and above-ground whirlpool spa cleaned, which occurred just days after I called for these services to be performed. Afterwards the filter pump pressure reduced dramatically, and the spa's waters were crystal clear. The spa cover was also cleaned, but a thin residue of white bird poop was still visible in one corner. So this cleaning was very good but not perfect. We had our pool drained, cleaned, tile fixed this week. Ken oversaw the process and did most of the work. He briefed us on what needed to be done and what would happen once we got the pool full with water. The second day of the process, he brought a glass bead blaster to get rid of the calcium build up and the tile guy to fix the tiles that had fallen off. They stayed until 6 at night to get everything done. Ken was right back at our house the next morning to finish filling the pool and jacuzzi and add water conditioner and chlorine. He got the dolphin pool sweep and pool pump running and reset the timer. Later that day, he called to ket us know he was finished and what we needed to do next. Ken was extremely professionsl and even remembered our pool and pool pump from years before. We felt very comfortable with Ken and were so happy he was there to take care of everything. Recently, I knew something was wrong with my pool, but the chemical levels were pretty good, so things did not make sense to me. First of all, when someone comes into your store please treat them respectfully. My wife went in yesterday and was asking questions about different stabilization for salt water pools. The tall thin man (close to calling him a kid due to disrespect) proceeds to talk down to a health inspector/auditor for a multi billion dollar company, with pool and spa expertise. She had to ask him several times all with the same attitude of, we'll bring me a water sample. Plus it was close to closing time so I'm sure he was miffed that we were there near dinner time. They are honest and have a great rate! You can have your filter cleaned up to twice a year and its complimentary. My pool serviceman Josue is the best! Try and request him. I have a saltwater pool, he is very informative he taught me how everything works when it before with my other pool service company I didn't have a clue. He really takes his time to do a great job and answer any questions and keep you updated about everything he is doing. The customer service is amazing as well you get weekly emails about your pool as well as access to their app where you can follow along, pay your bill, etc. Love this company! read more

Called Poolwerx on Tuesday morning for a filter cleaning. They have been servicing my filter for 20+ years. I explained that the filter had stopped circulating and that I needed someone to clean the filter as soon as possible. They advised the service department would call and set up an appointment. I did not hear from them. At 6:45am Wed, I get a text saying they could come that morning. I responded and said OK, but never hear from them again (text or phone). It has now been four days and no calls from Poolwerx. I ended up contacting Paradise Pool Service and they were very responsive (same morning service), professional, and cleaned up well. (Poolwerx always left a mess) They were also about half the cost of Poolwerx. Poolwerx has lost a long-time service customer. I will may still use them for parts as their store staff has always been knowledgeable and friendly. read more

After a brief bit of troubleshooting I called Redlands Poolwerx. The Technical Service Superintendent, Ken returned my call within 15 min. Very cool and knowledgeable guy. He said they would try to get someone out for the service today. David, the technician arrived within a couple hours. Professional, personable, experienced and quite capable, David persisted even though it was a difficult situation until he had found the cause and resolved the problem. I have been a customer of Redlands pool and spa for almost 25 years. I've always been happy with the field techs who clean my filter and the install of new equipment a few years ago. What I don't understand is why it takes 5 days for someone to confirm an appointment date. With todays modern technology - that makes no sense. 100% of all company's in todays world - you call and right then you have a confirmed appointment. Pool Werx needs to join the modern world. On 9-24-20 (Thursday) at approximately 2:30 pm, I noticed my pool pump stopped working. I immediately called Redlands Poolwerx and explained that I was having family over this weekend for a party. I purchased a pool cover for my pool in April 2018 from Redlands Pool and Spa which is now listed as Poolwerx. On the receipt for the cover, it lists a 2 year full warranty with a 5 year limited warranty for the cover. 16 mos later the cover is falling apart in chunks and has a huge hole in it. So I called the store which again is now listed as Poolwerx. I asked them about the warranty. The gave me the number to the manufacturer to call, which I did. When I called the manufacturer they told me to go back to the store and have them contact the local distributor who could exchange the cover with no problem. It's a common occurrence and the local distributer would know how to handle the exchange. Went to the store as directed. When I explained to Ken, the purchasing manager, what I was told to do he refused to help me. He said I needed to go thru the manufacturer. So I called the manufacturer back right there in the store. Even after they explained to Ken what needed to be done he argued with the manufacturer. He was clear that he did not want to deal with contacting the distributor as directed by the manufacturer. Ken begrudgingly ended up making the exchange after some back and forth conversation and a lot of attitude. Terrible service given by Ken and not what I would have expected. You would have thought Ken was having to pay right out of his own pocket for the exchange. He was rude and obviously upset he was having to make the exchange. When I asked why they offered a warranty for something they didn't want to honor he said that most people just don't bother and just buy a new one. He warned me that any future claims would have to be with the manufacturer and not them. Understood, Ken. And trust that I will never make any future purchases from your company. I like to support local businesses, but based on how I was treated that day, I won't be doing business there again. read more

Met them at the Redlands resident expo, I believe that's what is was called, got a phone number right away from Matt. He sent me a text message and asked me to text him my home address to receive a free quote for monthly Pool service. I sent my address and he never replied, I then called after not hearing back from him. I was transferred directly to him and he once again asked for my address, he then said I would be getting a call from someone to schedule a day for someone to come out and look at the pool. I called this morning looking for a specific part for my Hotsprings spa. I was never asked for the serial number, as I do have that info handy. I was asked only for the year and model. I was then told they had two in stock. I drove an hour to pick it up, since they are the closest Hotsprings dealership to my house. Once I arrived, I was told that the the person in the retail department, which I spoke to on the phone, was mistaken and they DID NOT have the right part in stock. What a complete waste of time and disappointment. Needless to say, I definitely will not be purchasing my replacement spa from this dealer. I initially purchased my spa in Moreno Valley. The initial purchase was ok, but when it came to delivery and install it was a joke. The electrician they said to use was very expensive and did not do the job to code. I had to fight with them to make the necessity repairs to make things to code. I had to dig the trench for the underground electrical. After a long battle with that store, and not being able to get things repaired, I spoke to Josh at Poolwerx. They were able to take over my warranty and make the necessary repairs. Josh and Dan are awesome to work with and have taken care of all my needs. Heard good things about Poolwerx and they seemed to have good reviews. In late April I contacted them about servicing my above ground spa and they informed me they could not take new customers at that time due to a "software update" related to their scheduling system. I was told to wait two weeks and try again. I waited three weeks and called again, at which point I was told they were still not taking new customers but would be doing so starting June 1st. I thought about contacting another company but based on their reputation I wanted to give Poolwerx a chance. On June 3rd I physically went into the store at which point I was told they still weren't accepting new clients and had no timeline for doing so. Either Poolwerx is doing so well they can afford to turn away customers, or they weren't being truthful about why they aren't taking new customers. I would think a pen and paper would even do the trick in the short term... It can't be a staffing issue because the two times I've been into Poolwerx they have about 4-6 employees in the store alone. Very frustrating, I'll be going elsewhere for maintenance and now my supplies as well. read more
