I needed to have my pool re-plastered. A friend of mine gave me Sals number from Sunsational, Pools and spas. Sal came out, gave me an estimate for my California pool and proceeded to do an amazing job, the tile and the pebble tech. Sal explained the whole process of pebble tech because we had plaster before. The crew came out and did an amazing job. They also cleaned up every single day. Everyone acted professional. I would highly recommend this company. I had so much confidence and trust in Sal, that one I bought a house in AZ, I asked Sal if he knew anyone in AZ that could help me with the DIY pool I was building. Sal advised me Sunsational Pools was slow and his crew would come out and do the electrical gas and plumbing. He also installed the new equipment for the pool. I have to tell you, these guys worked their ass off. This company is a very reliable and trustworthy. We had an AZ Inspector come out and give us a thumbs up on how everything was installed, the next day he called and said the electrical line had to be changed in a certain area. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. There are not enough nice things I can say about Sal Tejeda and his crew. Let me touch on some of the key factors that made it so our choice to go with Sunsational Pools and Spas would be our choice over and over again, given the opportunity. We had a design in mind when we requested a quote. Sal came over to the house, ON TIME and as promised (which I cannot say for other companies we had requested quotes from). As we were discussing our needs and wants (because these two things can be very different when working within a budget), he took great notes and let us know that he would do his very best to accommodate all of our wants, while staying within budget. Sal was able to get us our quote back within the timeframe promised (also, something surprisingly hard for other companies). The quote we received was within our budget and not only included all our "needs", but also included our "wants"! Now to talk a little about the timeframes. The timeframes not only did not disappoint, they moved a lot faster than we had ever expected. From contract signing, to permits obtained, to construction start, to project completion. For the size of our project, we had anticipated 6+ months. Our whole process took no longer than 4 months. If there was any kind of delay, Sal let us know right away and explained the reason. To say Sal and his team are knowledgeable and efficient at everything they do, would be an understatement. Next I'd like to bring up the communication. Not once did we ever have a hard time getting a hold of Sal with any questions or thoughts we had along the whole process! He and his crew were all so helpful throughout the project, they even suggested design changes that TO THIS DAY I look at and am blown away at the thought we had requested it be done differently. The design is so much better due to the knowledge and experience his whole team possessed. It truly was a pleasure working with Sunsational Pools and Spas. Don't walk away from this company, RUN!!!!! This "so-called" pool Contractor started my pool last August and it's still not finished. They jack prices up at every turn. I chose them because of the reviews. Either they have gone downhill fast or they do their own reviewing. The workmanship is average at best and the guy Sal is a poor excuse for a boss. We DO NOT live in San Francisco. We live in Yucaipa CA, but this site would not let us change our location.... We had Sensational Pools & Spas refurbish our 26 year old pool last summer. Sal was a wonderful contractor to work with. When we described what our desires were, he helped us to formulate a design plan. We knew we wanted, simple, clean lines, but a nice reflection of the sky and surrounding landscape on beautiful days. We originally thought that a pebble tec design, instead of plaster, would be our solution. Sal directed us to look at other previous pools he had renovated to assist us in our decision. We noticed that pebble tec didn't have the sparkle and reflection we wanted to achieve within our budget. Sal listened to our description of the look we wanted and told us that plaster would give us a very nice look. We couldn't be happier with Sal's advice, attention to detail, hard work of his crews, but most of all he met with us frequently, punctual, and would check on his crew to make sure he was delivering all that we wanted. We recently had a pool and spa installed by Sal Tejeda and his crew from Sunsational Pools and Spas. To put it simply, it was one of best experiences I've ever had with a contractor and I cannot thank Sal enough for the excellent work and service that he and his entire crew provided. Sal is a straight shooter and we did not have one surprise whatsoever. From our first in person meeting, Sal was very easy to talk to and completely listened to and understood our needs. He handled the whole project from start to finish, which included extensive demolition of our entire backyard. Sal was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated throughout the entire job. Our entire project took just over 2 months and we are extremely pleased with the finished product. This included extensive demolition, excavation, pool dig, large waterfall and grotto and very detailed workmanship of a rock formation pool and raised spa. Unlike other pool builders, Sal does not cut corners whatsoever. He included top of the line Pentair equipment controlled by iPhone, 8' spa, horseshoe seat under grotto, pebble finish, LED lights, etc. No nickel and diming like other contractors who price out a plain vanilla pool and then upcharge you for everything that you really wanted to begin with! Although we had never met before, I felt like I had a friend building my pool for me. A rare trait in construction in general, especially the pool business which is an industry notorious for jobs and contractors that lag. Everyone who comes to my home loves the work. Sal's guys Luis and Edgar, who do the rock work, are perfectionists and real artists at what they do. Look around at some rock pools and many look like the Flintstones.
