They arrived to do the job and when they investigated the pool found rust and it was unsafe to put the new liner in. Gary and his crew from PoolTyme finished installing our fiberglass pool in September 2017. The installation went fine, although delayed for a month. We WERE really happy. Until July 2018, when the gelcoat and fiberglass started chipping away on all the stress points. Now, keeping in mind he guaranteed our pool's longevity and couldn't say enough about the durability of the fiberglass pool. I notified him in August 2018 about this issue, and also sent him pictures, asking him to please fix it asap (the pool was less than a year old). He put us off until January 2019 and said we would need to pay 1/2 the cost to fix it because the pool he purchased had been used as a mold and he said he told us that before. He DID NOT tell us that useful piece of information, or we never would have agreed to purchase a potentially defective pool! (For the full price, no less.). So we do not recommend this company, not because of the initial installation, but because they do not follow through with guaranteeing their work. No integrity! read more

I would be able to give Gary 4/5 stars if his brother didn't break or mess up the work AND if Gary stood behind his work. Pool Tyme replaced a vinyl liner, installed concert, coping and automatic pool cover we spent $25,750.00 in June of 2016. From day one our pool was losing way to much water, Gary asked us to please sign off on the work so he could get paid from the Hero Program in September 2016, we did (our mistake). We trusted Gary, today we are still battling water loss and have just found out the rope on the automatic pool cover was cut to short, so it will break if the pool cover is re-tracked inside the bench. We tried to contact Gary giving him an opportunity to fix it, took 3 texts before we got a response " out of warranty" was his response. This is an install issue, that we would have no way of knowing until the rope actually broke. It was the manufacturer of the pool cover that came out and wrote a letter stating install error, Gary needs to have us fix it. So we now must file a claim, lessons of life never trust contractor and NEVER sign off on the work until you are completely satisfied. read more

We had pretty bad customer service from various local contractors (not calling us back, bait and switching the price, just all around shady stuff) and finally the day our pool arrived we said screw it and called Pool Tyme. 24 hours later four guys worked nonstop for seven hours leveling the ground and installing the above ground pool. It is PERFECTION. I wasn't here but my dad has nothing but high high praise for the guys who worked on this. They had nothing bad to say, even when their car stalled and had to haul the items further. I cannot believe what an amazing company Pool Tyme is. So knowledgable, professional, and just hard working all around. To sum up, if you're looking for local people to do it cheaper or better in your area you probably won't find it. If you're looking for a professional, hard working, and respectful crew, look no further than Pool Tyme. They even came from San Bernadino to Ramona - a good TWO hours away. We didn't hire them directly. We bought a pool and they were hired to install. The contractors left a mess in the yard, including cigarette butts in the grass, and threw their lunch trash in our green garbage can. The installation was sloppy and instead of leveling everything, they just put it on bricks. Not even a year later, one of the pipes broke. We called them and they said it was a manufacturer issue, not an installation issue. They brought the new part and asked "what do you want me to do?" After he put the new pipe on one side, next day, the other side started leaking. We called them and left several messages qnd noone called back. After 5 days of calling, my husband called from another phone and she answered. But this time, she said it was our fault that the pipes were broken and said they did us a favor fixing the broken pipe, even if they broke the other side. My husband and I researched multiple company's when we decided we were going to get a in ground pool and jaccuzi. It's a big investment and scary if you pick the wrong company. This Company is simply the best! We hired somebody prior and they quit on us halfway through putting up our above ground pool. Several of us thought we could finish it but two weekends and 12 hours later we realize that we are not above ground pool contractors. I called Leslie's pools in lake Elsinore and they highly recommended the company. Three-man and about four hours later my above ground pool was up with liner in place and water being added. I researched several pool companies since we have an in ground Vinyl liner pool. I looked at various quotes and listened to representatives presentations.Gary and Ann were great in their explanations of procedure and costs. The main chanel drain was replaced as well as removing and replacing the spacers around the pool. I was very comfortable with Gary who was a hands on type of owner and who worked with his employees directly on our pool. He even tolerated our 3 Aussies who were very inquisitive of the renovations.
