Let me start by saying that I was recommended to try this place by a coworker whose nails I always love. She told me to go to Joe. And reading the reviews I see Kevin is highly recommended as well. I didn't make an appointment - and I forgot the name of the woman who did my nails. She did a good job - but I will be trying out Kevin's work next. For years now I have had hit and miss luck with asking for coffin shape. And when it is a good job the price is astronomical. If a great shaped coffin is what you want I say give this place a shot. I went at the last minute. On a Saturday. At 5pm. The place was packed out. And every single table and pedi station was occupied. From walk in to walk out I was there for a little 1.5 hrs. This was, without a doubt, the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. My husband and I came in for a manicure and pedicure, and it was a complete disaster. The woman seated at the front right when you walk in handled my services, and her work was extremely poor. I honestly wanted to walk out in the middle of my pedicure , but my husband said "let's continue and just never come back". She didn't properly file my nails or perform basic manicure steps, and my pedicure was just as bad. My feet were left soaking in water for an extended period with little to no actual service. I even had to ask twice just to have my toenails cut, and she didn't address an ingrown nail at all. My husband's experience was no better. His technician didn't cut his toenails, only filed them and even worse, she cut his skin on both his big toe and around his fingernails during the manicure. There were only two people working, and unfortunately, BOTH did an awful job. This place seriously needs better people if it plans to stay in business. I wouldn't give this salon any stars I ONLY did 1 star because it would not allow me to do none, this was a 0 out of 5 experience. read more

Today on Dec 28th 2025 the two workers who were in today which was a male and a female! I was greeted with disrespect from the start, I was the only customer in there at the time and they were super rude and it was uncalled for because I was nothing but respectful. I asked for a certain style and the man who was doing my nails had an attitude from the start. He huffed the whole process through my nails, he literally did what he wanted on my nails and not what I asked for, I was so nice still got attitude I let him know that if he could not do my nails how I wanted then I can change a couple things. Went today for my fill and excellent service once again. This time I did a fill and a pedicure and both came out great. Again I was seen right away. Pedicure was relaxing. When I was getting my fill I messed up one of my toes and they fixed it just fine and were still very pleasant and extremely nice and helpful. I will continue to use this place since it is just down the road from where I live. The powder on my nails is so thick and some Nails Don't even have it evenly applied so there's white and it's transparent. This nail salon was very clean & simple. I went 9:45am on a Wednesday and was seen immediately no appointment required. The guy (Kevin) asked what I wanted and started like nothing. He was nice but didn't talk much and was very focused on his work. I didn't even have to question if he was focused on me and what I wanted. I went w/ my daughter and received horrible service: I wanted two pedicures (myself 'adult' and daughter 'kids')_ they told me my price and tried to charge me adult price for my 10yr old daughter that's tall. Two different lady's walked up to us while we gettin feet done... stating: it's $35 for her after two different lady's told me $20 already. I went in for a dip nail removal and to get another dip. I only went here because my normal (AMAZING SALON, EZ Nails) is closed on sundays and I have a busy week. I didn't think nails could be this bad or I'd be the person writing a bad review but here we are. Please don't get dip here. The place was full of flies, spider web hanging from corners, stations and floors were filthy. Even the UV light things you slide your hands in to solidify your nails was full of what felt like cheeto crumbs and smelled about the same when the light came on. She tore up my cuticles with the electric filer and the nails themselves are very lumpy. I left with tons of product still around my nails. I asked for short nails but she wouldn't go any shorter than what's shown--which is still too long for black nails in my opinion. She seemed annoyed that I was paying by card and once she swiped it, she had nothing left to say to me. Save your time, money and nails for EZ nails. Next time I'll just deal with overgrowth to wait to go there instead. So disappointed. read more

I recently moved to San Antonio and I was in need of a pedicure. I searched for local nail shops close by my house and J nails spot seemed to have the best reviews. Unfortunately my experience was far from the best experience and I won't be returning. Chou was extremely rude when I asked her to properly polish my nails. The color was purple and when he was done it seriously had white flakes showing thru the purple. I complained and the lady did fix it by painting shellac over and gave me $10 off. Do not come here. I came for a simple mani-pedi. My red toenail polish looks (and feels) like my nails were ripped off. The "cheese grater" was banged up against the trash can after she was done using it on me and placed back in with cart. My manicure was painful. I ask why she was using an instrument to scrape off my nail polish and she said she couldn't get it off. Its fricken clear nail polish that I put on myself, 2 coats of Sally top coat nail polish, 2 coats! After scraping my nails, I asked her to fix the shape of my nails because the I wanted square tip. It all depends on who you get and what time you go. The first time I went, 2 of my nails broke a few hours after service. One guy has done my shellac twice and a day later on both occasions, the paint started chipping. A friend of mine got frustrated because her nail artist caused her pain, insulted her, and couldnt even understand what she wanted. I decided to change to dip instead of shellac. I arrived 15 minutes after the opening time but no one opened until 9:10. There was 2 other ladies, one getting a mani and the other a pedi. They sat me down and had my fingers in acetone for an hour....AN HOUR!!! From the time I got there to the time I left, 8 customers had come in, got their services and left. Two of them got both mani and pedi and another two got manis and their eyebrows done! I was there for 2 HOURS!!! And I had my 9 week old with me who started getting cranky because I couldnt feed him. I've gone here about a dozen times and I always ask for Ann. She does a great job and is really friendly and efficient. A few times I have brought my 6 year old, just to get her nails painted (no manicure or anything fancy) and usually Ann does it and it goes well. Once a man did them too and that was all good. Today I came in to get my normal shellac manicure and brought my daughter in to get her nails painted. I asked for Ann, and another lady took her, ignoring my request. I let it go, as I figured it was more efficient for them. The lady who took my daughter then kept asking if I wanted to get her a shellac manicure. I kept repeating that I only wanted pink nail polish with some glitter on top. She seemed very irritated and kept repeating to her co-workers that she was only going to make $7. I noticed she wasn't putting glitter on top and I asked her 3 times to add the glitter and she kept saying "okay" but never put the glitter on. She then left my 6 year old to dry her nails for almost 30 mins without checking on her, and I had to ask Ann to remove her from the nail drying station. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because Ann did a good job, as always. Needless to say, due to the rudeness of the 1 staff member, we will not be returning to this nail salon. read more
