For the first time ever, I opened my Yelp! App and searched for a "pedicure near me" in San Antonio! The city is bustling--first day of Fiesta! I called to make sure they were open, and they made an opening for me, and now I'm here enjoying my Detox pedicure complete with calming Magnesium soak with CBD oils. The salon is very inviting, and super clean! The staff really enjoys their clients and helping people feel good and look great! I picked a great place to spend a Thursday evening! For sure! Was visiting San Antonio opened up my yelp app looked for a nail salon close by to my hotel walked in didn't have an appointment. Waited about 10 minutes and then I was seeing I had gel nail polish removed, and I had a standard pedicure. This salon is unlike your traditional nail salon salons. It was very welcoming. The water was very good temperature. I felt like I got a better service than I normally would at a regular nail salon. I wish we had these in Arizona. read more

I came to SA for the Tyler conference. I decided to treat myself to a late Mother's Day present and get a pedicure. I'm so glad I found Prose. It's beautiful! It's soothing and relaxing. I went today with my friend. He got a manicure and I got a pedicure. I don't know the pricing because is no on their website. I got basic pedicure with regular nail polish he got the basic manicure clear polish. He said he paid $100 even though when I called she said it was $35 for manicure $45 for pedicure. Booked an appt at 10:22am to be done during my lunch for an Express Mani for 1pm. Quoted 25/30 min for the service. I have my natural nails no polish or anything on them. As well as an appt for gel for my friend and 1:15pm, quoted 30 min for service time. (I called to make sure) Checked in no later than 1:05. MY Service did not start until EXACTLY 1:30pm. While my friends started at 1:10pm. My service was only 20 min long and phots attached to show not even of good quality. Shapes are off and cuticles are messy. Was charged $15 for my service to be done half a** and paid for my friend who was charged a Gel removal for $10 since that was all that was accomplished during our WHOLE HOUR for lunch. Had to order a pizza from across to street so we could eat at our desks. When asked why i was charged more for less work the front desk girl said "well i didn't book the appts i was just told to watch the books" totally disregarding the lack of service. My friend now has to return AFTER WORK to finish a job that wasn't completed in the first place. I will not return although given an option to because there was no sense of urgency or compassion for starting late and for not being able to complete the original service. Employees also were discussing how another customer did not tip in FRONT of other customers with no regard on how unprofessional that is. I did NOT tip, a tip is something that is earned with either great service or great work. Neither was provided. Also, would like to mention, a discount was not offered, although they knew we work in the tower. Not that it would have made a major difference, but it would have shown effort, something they lacked. Now, i do, however, have a few questions, 1) is the service provided one you would accept for a family/friend to receive? 2)would you tip on service that you did not book ? That was actually below the standard to which you BOOKED for? 3) why accept bookings if you do not honor them? 4) why are "express" options offered if they aren't given? (Took us mentioning we had to be out by 1:50 pm so we could pick up our pizza and make it to work on time to get a pep in their step. Which is when i was offered to come back) 5) if i was 30min late, would THAT have been acceptable? 6) does having a customer return AFTER their work day seem like good business? Came with a group during a bachelorette trip and the customer service was great but our nails weren't. They LOOKED beautiful until the day after getting them. I got Gel X on my real nails while the rest of the group got acrylics. One of my fingers by the next morning had started peeling and the rest had followed suit and there are now 3 layers to my nails. Another girl had 2 of her toe nails pop off by the 2nd day. And everyone had at least one nail pop off by the first week. I paid over 160$ including the tip. The place I go to back home costs me less than 100$ to get acrylics and powder and that also includes tip. The price to quality ratio is way off at this place if I'm being honest! read more

When I first walked in I was sad because there was no one for 20 min. They don't know I speaked Chinese and started talking and saying my feet smell and are very bad. Took my daughter for manicures when we were in town. I had a fairly new nail texh, Hispanic, black shirt. My daughter had an Asian woman. We both opted for French manicures. Daughter was done about 15-20 minutes before me. Both looked fabulous. However, my nails lasted about three weeks. Longer than any other mani in my life. Daughters lasted about a week but she also plays sports. Great experience regardless. Great salon, free parking. Would go back. read more

Prose nails is the place to go. Not only is prose amazing, each and every one of their staff members is fun to talk to. Most of their staff is good at nail art. They all do fantastic jobs. My go to girl is Leah w/ the short hair. Shes the right level of perfectionist. She can take a little while but she'll never do you wrong. I booked this appointment while I was traveling from San Francisco. They never once sent a reminder text or call. In my head, I had a 10:30 appointment, but it was actually for 10 am. That is completely on me, but again- why is there no reminder about the appointment? They also didn't call. I called at 10:20 when I was on my way and realized, but they told me they couldn't accommodate me and fit me in. New and clean salon but VERY slow!!! I arrived at 10:10 and left at 12:15 with 2 people working on my feet (regular pedicure) and nails (gel manicure) at the same time. Emily did my feet and seemed hesitant and unsure. It literally took her 5 minutes to remove the regular nail polish from my toes! When I realized how slow she was going I told her I was on a time crunch and she got Mariah to do my gel manicure while she completed my pedicure. Mariah was excellent! Confident yet kind, responsive and made sure I was happy with her work every step of the process. She did an amazing job!! I just can't even imagine what time I would have left if Mariah didn't come over to help. Services its self was very basic!! I went in for a dip polish while traveling on business. I had not done a dip polish in years but was headed on a multi week trip and wanted something that would last. Service was very friendly. However it took forever, in part because the technician put on so many coats. One week into the manicure, the entire "dip" polish started popping off my nails, leaving bare nail, as if they were press-on nails???? I glued the first two back on, but lost the third and fourth.
