My nail tech Ms.Amy did amazing on the valentines nails that I requested. I've gotten my nails done by her before and they've always been super good quality and have lasted so long that I was surprised by my nail growth. She's super communicative and really nice I really recommend her service!!

I'm new to SA. I called Royal Nails for an appointment to fix my nails from another salon I had recently visited. The acrylic was too thick and looked very unnatural for my liking. I tried fixing them myself, but of course that didn't go so well. They gave me an appointment the same day with Cindy. Let me just say, Cindy is amazing! She gave me just the right shape, thickness, length and everything to fit my petite hands. I have my natural look without worry of breaking a nail! I won't go anywhere else from now on.

I visited this location by recommendation of a friend. I had a mani and pedi done. The atmosphere was really nice, and although they were busy they were welcoming. I did not feel rushed during my pedicure nor did I during the manicure. I had a dip powder manicure. I usually do my own nails with dip powered in which I am aware of the process but decided to get it done there. First, the gentleman that did was my mani had trouble with the products necessary for the dip powder it was clumpy however he managed to find one that worked enough to get the powder to stick. The manicure looks nice, however it has only been 2 going on to 3 days and I have 3 cracked nails it is very disappointing considering the totaling cost. It has to definitely be the products utilized, my nails are short and I do not do activities that will cause my nails to break or crack. Edit: attached pictures

I Absolutely love this place! I've been coming for a few months now and I drive 25 mins just to go to this nail salon. They are so friendly, even on Mother's Day gave all the mothers a little gift. My nails always come out great. Best nail place I've ever gone to.

Wouldn't recommend going here !! horrible job (polish is uneven with nail bubbles) unsanitary (the nail tech used cut nail to clean under my nails) I called today and asked to get them fixed the owner said I shouldn't have left if I didn't like my nails (Had to pick up my son from school). The reason for me calling was because the owner HIMSELF replied to my previous post to let HIM know if I liked my nails if not 'we could work something out.' This is not how you treat customers, saying one thing on my post and then acting rude over the phone with no resolution. I was unable to stay any longer and the lady couldn't even understand what I was saying so I was unable to communicate with her . Not satisfied with my nails whatsoever!!! biggest waste of money, would recommend going elsewhere!!! Waiting for a few weeks so I can take these horrible nails off and go somewhere else to get them fixed

Since the new ownership, everything is spectacular! The entire experience is relaxing....all the way down to The likes of Fur Elise playing through the speakers. I always get the hot stone pedicure and it sends me floating out of here. I brought a friend along and he also agrees!

Always a great experience and atmosphere! Great selection of colors and shades, great conversation and also drink selection. I always book my appointments with Megan she is the best! She remembers all of her clients and returning customers when they walk in. All of the staff is very respectful, friendly, courtesy and hardworking. I have been a customer of Royal Nails for the past few years. Sadly, in July 2025, I walked in only to find that most of the old crew had moved. Nam was not only my nail tech, but also for family and friends. I am deeply sad they moved! When I asked the new people where the old crew moved, they just said they moved. My friend and I have tried two of the new nail techs, but I was not impressed with the quality of work. From bumpy dip nails to my dip polish lifting after a week. GO HERE!!! Basic pedi starting at $30, and I added on that parrafin stuff for $10 and I felt like I was getting the top tier with the massage and the callus scrub didn't tickle and he got all them dry spots without me asking! Feel like a princess AF bc they lifted my legs and feet for me instead of me using my core to help them out, took their time, complimentary drinks, and didn't feel out of place with an awkward language barrier. Such a great place to go for any reason, and this week is my wedding so I felt extra special even tho I didn't even mention it until after. I was about to fall asleep y'all and usually I'm an anxious person at the nail salon bc of the standard in the US. Top tier pedicure. Making this one my home base for sure!! I walked in on a saturday afternoon, as the door states, "walk ins welcomed". The man at the entrance asked me what i needed and after i stated i needed a manicure, he said "we don't have manicure". I clarified and asked if he didn't and he said no. The store had two customers and was practically empty. Poor customer service and appeared unhygienic and low quality. This was my go-to place for manicures and pedicures. However, today made me change my mind! I got there early and was taken almost immediately for a manicure when another customer came in after me for a pedicure and manicure. I was left waiting because my manicurist decided it was more lucrative to take her rather than me! Left me sitting in the chair waiting - I left. Ridiculous. He didn't even say anything about my horrible nails ( I bite them) which the technicians normally always do ugh! If I could give a negative 5 review I would!! I am beyond pissed off with this salon! My mom & I have been going to this salon since we moved to SA in June of 2020 and we did not have a problem with them until NOW. My mom went today to get her eyebrows & lip waxed and they BURNED her skin off!!! My mom doesn't not have sensitive skin & have been waxing for YEARS & this kind of burn has never happened before. They didn't even give her a mirror to look to see if it was good. She noticed it when she got home!!! My mom did go back to show them & they did not care. They literally gave her Neosporin! They gave her back her money but with a huge attitude!!! We will be filing for a lawsuit because this kind of burn is simply not acceptable! Please do not go to this salon! They are also very rude and do not care about their regular customers! They just want money. So Royal nails, you will be hearing from our lawyers! read more

Obsessed!! Y'all need to come see Megan or Tran. I came here with a friend who recommended Megan and I've never been so happy with a salon and their service. Very friendly and polite, the estheticians made me feel welcomed and excited for my new nail look. The salon is very clean and they have a wide selection of colors to choose from. If you come on your birthday or another special occasion they usually give small gifts with bath and body works lotion. I've been coming here for a year or two and I won't be leaving anytime soon! read more

I love this salon! I have been going for about 2 years now and I can't say a negative word. I have had just about every nail tech for my usual full set dip and a variety of the offered pedicures - every experience is great! The staff is welcoming and kind. The salon is aways clean as well. I got a full set yesterday, broke a nail almost immediately and went today to get it fixed. I was in and out in 15 minutes; free of charge. I highly recommend Royal Nails! read more

There are new workers/management and I already feel very welcomed. They were all very friendly. They have TONS of new services (see card), that I'm excited to try. They also have eyelash extensions and microblading for eyebrows. Prices seem about standard and right now they have 20% off all services. Also, FYI they have standard type drinks and also "adult" drinks while you're getting your services done. read more

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!! This little place is 5 mins from where i live and they have new owners! It is UNBELIEVABLE! It is so clean, the work they did was amazing..i am so picky about my nails bc i have been trying to grow my REAL nails out so i can't have them break, chip and I do DIP and this place nails it every time!!! My nails are healthy and no one can ever believe they are my real nails! Do yourself a favor and just try this place out!! This weekend they are doing a GRAND OPENING and all services are 20% off!! My favorite nail salon. They're great here. No complaints... until today... I only need 1 nail to be fixed and they only had 1 customer in the shop. The older gentleman said they were all booked up. With no other customers in the shop?? Again, I only needed 1 nail to be fixed... wow. read more

Bottom line, if you're not a "regular" customer you get subpar service. Second time getting a pedicure and left unhappy. First visit, I had a pedicure and the polish was thick leaving my toe nails looking clumpy, the guy would have left it like that if I hadn't brought it their attention. Second time feet felt rough after leaving, the guy didn't take his time and I felt rushed, I didn't complain because I felt like they didn't care if they don't know you. I don't recommend this place, if you're a walk-in go somewhere you feel welcomed and that gives you the same service as their regular customers. read more

My favorite nail tech in this city is Nam. I've been going to him for the past 3 years. When I first went to him, my nails were so short, unhealthy, and brittle. Now they are long, strong, and I owe it all to him. I'm a complete snob, and by far this place offers the best service & is so serene. I highly recommend making an appointment if you truly care about your nails, and not just being another number to another tech! read more

So I went in on Sunday, 5:30pm to test this place out honestly because it is in such a great location for me in relation to home and work, and despite the negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised! I got a mani / pedi, and had a pretty good experience on both. They went a little fast on the mani, just because they closed at 6 and I was the last person in there at 7. And so I will try them again just to see how they would do on my cuticles and on the lotion massage when they have more time, but generally speaking I was satisfied with what I paid for. This is 24 hours after and my nails still look good. I had told them I was giving a big presentation and wanted my nails to look good, and they did! read more

It has been four years since my last pedicure of any kind (October '21). Then, two years ago I…read moredropped a 70lb steel object on the big toe of my right foot which probably broke it (September '23). My big toe was swollen and dark purple for some months before the toenail became detached in my shower (March '24). When the nail grew back it went sideways as a result of my now misshapen toe, slicing into the side of my toe to create a separate peninsula of skin. Naturally, the blood and then the pus would flow out and for a time I had to frequently apply a tincture of antiseptic to manage the developing infection but once that subsided my foot fell into a resting state of low-medium but manageable pain. The purple of my toe had subsided to a tender red, and the nail took on a yellowish sheen from the pus. For some months I hadn't sought treatment or even clipped the nails as I had feared the resulting pain which usually followed might disrupt my participation in local footraces. I thus concluded that my right foot would serve as the perfect control group to assess the level of care that could be provided by Van's Nail Salon. I immediately got on a plane to San Antonio and entered the salon at about 11:30am local time on December 11th. The staff greeted me and offered me a complimentary drink for which the options were many but I chose the Long Island Iced Tea (wow!). The staff was nonjudegmental of my foot and even took the care to be gentler with the Pedegg due to my sensitive feet, while still not cutting a corner or sacrificing any measure in the harvest of dead skin deposits. I went with a clear coat finish bolstered by the cucumber aroma and could not be happier with the relief in my toes. The technician was very observant and even spotted an abscess on my toe which had previously gone undiscovered. Overall I could not be happier with the level of care I received for what I paid for, which was somehow cheaper than my last pedicure four years ago.

My experience here was great! I walked in without an appointment on a Saturday morning (about 45…read moreminutes after they opened) and was seated right away. I told my nail technician what I wanted and she complied without trying to upsell. I got the signature pedicure which was amazing and the shellac manicure. I'm usually very ticklish when it comes to my feet but my tech took her time to the point where I got used to her touch and could actually relax and enjoy myself. The tech kept checking in with me to make sure she wasn't being yo rough or the towels and water weren't too hot. I will definitely be back!

I have faithfully been following my nail tech Megan around when she moved locations from my original go to spot in stone oak for a little over a year and I am so glad she has finally had the chance to have her own shop! Her and her family are just wonderful at what they do! Very professional, polite, and personable along with the fact that my nails ALWAYS come out looking FANTASTIC! There have been a few times when I wouldn't get a chance to see her and go to see a random salon and boy did I regret it! Give them a chance! I tried shellac for the first time here, and loved it. After having it done at two separate salons and having awful experiences (early chipping, ruined nails) I appreciate Royal Nails even more. I've always had flawless shellac that lasted well over 14 days and did not damage my nails when removed. She is very nice, doesn't make me feel shes in a rush, takes her time and is very professional. She is provides great customer service by asking how I am and how I liked my nails. This is one of the nicest nail salons in SA (minus the fancy spas). I walked into Royal Nails and was immediately greeted and was sent to the nail polish wall to pick out my colors. Lots and lots of great colors, and they do carry OPI nail polish as well. I ended up getting a pedicure, shellac manicure and my eyebrows waxed. All of the chairs are brand new and have a built in massage system. My shellac manicure looks great, and Tropical pedicure is a amazing probably one of the best I've ever had. and my eyebrows look great! I love Royal Nails & Cathy the owner! This is a beautiful salon and the service is excellent! It's one of my favorite places on earth! I get solar nails (pearl tips with dark pink powder) and Cathy always remembers what I like. My nails stay put for at least 2 weeks or longer! I get so many compliments on my nails because of her beautiful artistry! Makes me feel great! Cathy also waxes my eyebrows and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do them. She shapes them perfectly! I remember being really bummed after moving here to SA and not being able to find a good fit as far as a nail salon. I live in the med center and took a chance on this place after seeing the "under new management" banners. Immediately on entering I felt welcomed by all the smiles and accommodations. I decided to give them a second chance after getting my nails messed up before Xmas 2017. It was like a brand new place to me. Under new management, 7 young girls and guys. Amy gave me the best pedicure and foot massage. The guy was Namn,( not sure) did the best nails set ever. They used liners, one-time pedicure kits, and bagged, sanitized cutting kit. My daughter just had her first mani/pedi here she is 2 years old. They were so patient and kind to her! They gave her juice and chips, and were very interactive. I had a shellac mani and matching polish on my toes and it is beautiful! The prices are amazing, place was very clean, and I loved talking with the technicians.
