I'm honestly really upset with how my nails turned out. I do nails myself, so I'm familiar with the proper removal process, and I know that filing off all the gel instead of properly soaking it off is just a shortcut to save time. There's a difference between filing down the product and filing into someone's natural nails. Mine are now thin, uneven, scratched, and visibly damaged because of it. I genuinely wouldn't recommend this salon. If something as basic as a gel removal can't be done correctly, I wouldn't trust them with Gel-X, nail designs, or honestly any other service. It's disappointing to pay for a professional service only to leave with damaged nails because someone couldn't take the time to do it properly. read more

Got my nails done by KB (male nail tech) the other day and he was extremely rude and had poor customer service. When he approached me he didn't greet me, just sat down and asked what style I wanted. He kept tugging and pulling on my hand, cut my cuticle and didn't apologize. Instead of telling me to put my hand under the LED light he aggressively tapped on it and I had to tell him "can you wait so I can look at my nails first?" That was THE WORST service I had received. Front desk was nice and helpful when I told them about my poor service and they apologized. I usually don't have bad experiences when I go there and most of the girls do an amazing job. But I will NEVER get my nails done by a mail nail tech there. KB needs more training on customer service and learn to not be rude to paying guests. I went in yesterday for the set pictured and was very impressed with the quality of work by my nail tech, Daisy. I showed her the inspiration photo and she matched it almost exactly. I tend to get my nails done while away on work travel which is how I found Alamo Nails Lounge. It was near'ish to my hotel and also very near to some other shopping I had to do. Win-win. First of all, I really like the location. Convenient and plenty of parking. Either in the garage or in the lot, there's no shortage. Easy sign in upon arrival. No appointment? No problem. This place has more nail techs than any other nail shop I've ever been to. I've been a couple times now and they can always get me right in. Thirsty? They have drink specials, tea, coffee, water.... Whatever you want. The manicures I've gotten haven been spot on. Exactly what I wanted. Pedicures? Quite possibly the nicest ladies have done my feet, which are pretty rough since I'm a runner. This last trip it was recommended I leave out the polish due to the toe trauma which I appreciated. I thought that would've been the end of the service but nope, she went on to give one of the best massages and pedicures ever. The owner finally came over and turned the water on which was lukewarm and told me to put my feet in. And I sat there another 10 minutes.
