I've gone here many times to have great experiences but last time I went I had a bad experience. The lady doing my nails was very sweet up until I asked for a third coat. While painting my nails, she got nail polish on the back of my hand and when she was done she used a nail file to rub it off rather than using a cotton pad with a little nail polish remover. This left my hand red and swollen which later formed a scab. This was about a week ago and I still have a scab on the back of my hand. I do love this place and I should have said something in person but I could not process what had happened until after I left. Besides that my nails and toenails looked great! read more

Ive been here 3 times and every time before this was okay except for yesterday. The lady who did my nails was very nice at first but then as she started working on my nails she became irritable and rushed on my nails. I didn't ask for anything difficult but even that seemed like an inconvenience to her. When she finished up I wanted to be nice so I said I liked them to which she replied "The damage is done. They did a great job on my nails BUT the color wasn't what I picked. The way they handled this important detail was in very poor taste. I mentioned it looked really light compared to what I picked and both employees (one working on my pedicure and one on my manicure) looked at each other and shrugged. When I asked if the nail color was a layer because it didn't appear to be the color I picked, the manicurist just nodded. When she was finished I asked to see the book I chose my color from. She brought me every book but the one I used. My friend spotted her looking through it by the register so I walked over and asked to see it. She tried to put it away....which is where I finally realized she knew she'd made a mistake and was trying to avoid addressing it. It was upsetting and in poor taste. Again, nails were great...but I wouldn't trust their customer service. read more

I paid $40 for a refill and $15 for the chrome that's was not properly done, 2 days later the chrome on top started chipping. I went there and they ask me to come back to get it fixed. I told the lady I won't have a ride and I can't pay for an Uber just to get my nails fix since I live on base and don't have a car. Had a great experience...except for the massage. I added on what was listed as a shoulder massage which ended with the tech sticking his finger in my ears which I did not like at all. Also he touched my eyelids; I had full makeup on my face! Of course my mascara smeared everywhere. I thought that was inappropriate and not relaxing at all. Will return but for nails only. 10/13/2019 Not happy with the VIP pedicure on my second visit at all. Kelvin was a dream with my manicure, made sure I liked the color and checked in with me every step of the way. They offered me a drink but never brought it. The pedicure was terrible. The massage with her nails was painful. The "hot" stones were lukewarm for a one minute massage. For as long as she spent on the cuticles, there are still bits hanging off. Then she tried to seal the cut with nail glue which is now dried all over my toe. Polish is all over my toes, she was shaking the whole time. She was jabbing me with her nail so hard she broke the skin on the side of my big toe. Glitter is somehow in the dried blood. What a disaster. I let them know as I was checking out and offered 10% off. That doesn't really fix a ruined experience and the mangled pedicure I have. Can't wait to get an infection in both cuts. Just left and I absolutely love my nails! Not only that, but the salon was really nice and clean. This was the first time I had been here and I will definitely be back. Megan was so sweet. I went almost exactly a month ago, the lady was very nice but did not do a great job. once my nails started to grow, the acrylic started to pull my cuticles because she didn't push them back or cut them. my second problem was the horrible throbbing sensation in my pinky and thumb when i woke up this morning, and i felt the throbbing ALL DAY. Here is the kicker, i go to a Cosmology school where we have girls who live for doing nails. once one of them saw me desperately struggling to get the nails off, they sat down to help me. let me tell you, if take 2 hours of using a nail drill and soaking in pure acetone to get 85% of whatever she put on my nails off. update : when my nails were first done, it was February 13, it is now April 18 and i am still dealing with the consequences of going here. my pinky nail was bruised and broken in half, from side wall to side wall directly in the middle of my nail bed. my nail now grows short and the rest are still discolored, weak and break off once they get long enough. i spent 80$ to have my nails be brittle for two months, for the nails to cause me constant pain and discomfort. do NOT get your nails done here, unless of course, you hate yourself read more

Went in for a dip color full set, came out with cut hands and the wrong color on my nails. Im usually super nice about stuff like this at nail salons and don't like confrontation but my cuticles are all cut up in both hands and they burn so bad. My experience was less than desired. A friend and I came as a treat for graduation. We wanted manicures (gel) and pedicures (regular). The woman was very pushy about upgrades and both my friend and I received our manicures while still receiving our pedicures. It was sloppy. The color I picked was mislabeled which resulted in an entirely different color being put on my nails. Nearly one and a half hours into the appointment she was shaving my nails to reapply a color that I actually wanted. I understand this was not her fault, but she acted inconvenienced when asked if I could choose another color, which was very off-putting. A rather unrelaxing experience. It took hours but felt like we were being rushed at the same time. On top of all this, the nails didn't even turn out very good - there were smudges in both my nails and toes and she didn't bother cleaning up around the edges either. Searched for a nail salon that is consistent with their services. I initially came in on Christmas Eve, got a fill on a set I was disappointed from a different salon. To my surprise Kelvin provided an outstanding service. Re-shaped my nails exactly how I asked, and during that time they were running a 20% off all services! This was my first time at this place. I was very nervous about going back and getting my nails done during COVID. I don't remember the lady's name that did my nails. I'm sorry about that but next time I go back I'll make sure I'll ask for her. She did a great job. I got a manicure and pedicure. The manicure and pedicure seem to take a good length of time. She didn't seem to rush through my nails or anything. Which gave me a chance to relax and enjoy it. I like the lady was very friendly and kind. She talked a little but not too much to mess up my relaxation time. They did have on mask and took your temperature. People used hand sanitizer when they came into the shop. The workers wore mask and gloves. I like that they made sure people kept their mask on during this time. There was one lady with teenage kids that removed their mask and were told to put it back on. I went to this place several times since I moved to San Antonio and was very happy until recently. After getting my second pedicure with them I've realized I was going to go back in again but then looked at my toes and half of my big toenails on both of my feet were completely needing to be cut off due to a fungus I received from the salon. my nails have since grown out and I am getting pedicures somewhere else but knowing that this place is not clean their tools properly is very disturbing. I will never recommend the salon to anyone and I definitely would not suggest getting a pedicure here. As far as my nails on my hands, I was happy with them until I came on two separate occasions and twice my nails broke (meaning they were not done with enough acrylic) and one of the tips came completely off my real nail (my nail wasnt cleaned and prepped properly to hold tip). read more

Salon was clean, but the pros stop there. Worst dip manicure I have ever had. Chipped within a couple of days. It's 7 days later and I have to go get my nails done again. I have gotten dip manicures monthly for years and I have never seen such poor quality. The dip was extremely thin and sloppy. My tech told me I needed to be careful as I was leaving. Like what? I went in wanting a basic French tip design but with color and my tech wasn't capable. So I just got a dip color. I do believe there is a tech there that people make appointments with and her work looked great. So it might be that you just have to book solely with her. Do not just walk in though. Scour these reviews and find her name. I'm new to San Antonio, but I will be looking elsewhere for my nail salon. I've since been advised to avoid salons in Alamo Heights altogether. Not only did the technician cut the top of my foot (how does one do that?), when I went to pay, I was charged more than double for an add on service. I was told because it took longer for the technician to perform the service it was $5 and up." Having had a pedicure just 7 days earlier, my feet were in good condition. So I was shocked to be overcharged when I went to pay especially as they didn't discuss a potential up charge with me! Feeling ripped off and taken advantage of certainly negates the relaxation of a spa treatment. I certainly won't return and recommend others don't use their services either. read more

I made a pretty last minute appointment, and they were understaffed due to it being a holiday,so I get why she rushed. Even with rushing they came out great! Mani/pedi as part of a bridal party. Gel mani peeling within 48h, ~30% off within a week and paid $50. Gentleman cut my cuticle to bleeding (instruments looks sterilized, thankfully). I had to point out a few places where lint had been caught in my polish which he unsuccessfully tried to clip out. Constantly trying to up-sell me on more than the basic package, and overcharged a friend I was with by quite a bit. No one in the party was satisfied, sadly. I don't live nearby or I would go in and ask for a very greatly discounted reapplication. Place was clean, instruments in sterile pouch (although I could not see to tell if it was actually steamed), offered beverages, and was otherwise very comfortable.
