Wonderful nail salon, very nice inside and great service! My mom and I got pedicures by Helen and Sunny and they were excellent.

This is my first time visiting this nail salon and they are truly a luxury nail bar! I love the layout of the salon and they were servicing a lot of customers at the same time. They have the manicures in the middle and the pedicure and other services on the side of the room. They also have a mini bar in the back of the room! They give you 1 free drink for your service! These drinks can be sodas, coffee, alcoholic drinks, or hot chocolate! I think that was my favorite part of the service haha My nail tech Erin was really nice and so talented!!! I haven't got my nails done in years and I wanted to do something special for lunar new years. I gave him a few inspo pics and described what I wanted, I didn't have a strict preference on the design so I let him choose. He gave me something even better than my inspo pics! He was so precise and careful in the design and it was so fascinating watching him work! I got gelx and the cateye polish. I also notice that the staff really work together and help eachother out. Went in for a very simple eyebrow clean up. My eyebrows grow in completely full, they still look undone. My inner arch corner was taken off on one side, I have no idea why. The end of my eyebrow is missing a whole patch of hair. I felt her grab tweezers and start pulling random hair. Now there is a missing patch of hair in my brows that are naturally full. The service was rushed, and the technique was poor. As a customer who has came back at least 20 times over the past two years to get my brows cleaned up, I will not be returning. The salon itself is really nice...clean, modern, and has a relaxing vibe. The staff were not personable at all but they checked my wife and I in quickly, which I appreciated. My pedi was just okay, but the overall experience just felt a bit rushed. For the price, I expected a little more attention to detail and care. Not a bad visit, but not the best either. This is by far the BEST nail bar I have been to in San Antonio. From the moment I entered the facility until the very moment I left I had exceptional service. I had a manicure and and artwork done on my nails. I had M work on me and he made my nails look exactly like the picture I showed him of what I wanted. I also got a pedicure and Minh was great. She was sweet and did such a wonderful job and I was relaxed after the pedi was done. Found my new fav nail tech! Verona Nails is absolutely beautiful! Whoever designed and decorated it, omg ! Friendly greeting upon entry, seated immediately and offered a drink off their extensive menu. I chose an Irish coffee and it was amazingly good, top tier quality, and served in the cutest way! My nail tech Stephany did an amazing job on my nails and she chose a design that has me feelin super duper cute!! Got the pedi to match and it was just as perfect. So, I don't really get my nails done but maybe once a year, if that. I never know what to ask for or the difference between each type of service offered. I explained that to the guy up front and showed him a Pic of what I wanted and was able to help. I was told when sitting we'd do a dip nail so I picked a color as close to the one on my pic. Once done he said he thought it was too light, I agreed. So he tried to match with a gel polish. While having my nails done I enjoyed a yummy Vietnamese coffee. Sweet, but tasty. They do have alcoholic beverages as well as cokes. Was offered another drink, I decided to go with just a water. Everything looked good once done and I moved to a chair for my pedicure. I chose lavender mint. It was enjoyable and he checked in to make sure towels weren't too hot and explained we'd do the paraffin wax after polish so it would adhere better, which made sense. I feel like he did take his time and appreciated him looking at the nails and realizing they were gonna be too light. Most techs would have just stopped there and said oh well. I felt good leaving. However, after getting home I realized my thumb nail was shaped a bit crooked and there was some bleeding around one of my cuticles. It's not a huge deal to me, I wouldn't go back to have it fixed or anything but was noticed. Will just make sure to check closer next time. read more

The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the quality of service I receive is always consistent. Every staff member is so kind, and you can truly tell they care about their customers and love what they do. Erin is the best! I've been to quite a few nail salons in the UTSA area, and I keep coming back to Verona. In terms of cleanliness and feel good vibes when I walk in, this place has it. The prices have gone up, yet what hasn't. I appreciate that I can get a complimentary drink, and my go to last night was the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. When I come, I tend to be conservative with my color - traditional French tips. While I know I could do gel or acrylic, I prefer standard nail polish. If your set messes up within the week, you can return and have them fix it - just be sure to have your receipt so they honor their policy. I've tried the Milk & Honey Pedi, yet I prefer the Lavender Mint Pedi. I've never had to wait very long, yet I can tell that the quality of the French Tip lines look better when they are not rushed, so I would recommend arriving about 2-4 hours before closing time. read more

I was very impressed walking in here simply because it's fancier than other nail places I go to! I had an appointment at 1:00 pm and they sat me right away for my manicure and offered me a beverage! I was shocked to see that they have a full menu of alcoholic beverages and not just your simple margarita. I've been going to the same nail shop since I've been stationed out here in San Antonio, which is now three years. I really like the service here however, my last experience was not the best. I ended up getting my usual full set within four days of me getting my nails done. One of the nails cracked. I went back to get it fixed. I figured they were going to redo the whole nail instead they just put acrylic on top of it and it cracked again. On top of that you would figure that after a couple of days the nail would still look fresh, but the cracked nail looks like I also need a fill. SO SO disappointed with this set, I was in desperate need of nails for an event and paid over $100 for this short simple set- not even 2 days later the gel is already cracking and somehow stained with makeup (that's never happened to me before) . Overall just not worth it, it was a horrible experience and not worth the pay. The nail technician made me bleed due to how hard she filed nails and didn't even offer me a band-aid, I had to ask for one also, I asked her to help me remove my cuticles if I paid additional and she could not do it. But the tech gave me a sob story and I felt bad so didn't want to make a big deal out of it. 6 days later two nails broke at the tip and was told they'd fix it for free. I also asked them to shorten the nails because apparently their application isn't strong enough to withhold picking up a cardboard sign. Only to get a lecture on how to hold things with my hand not my fingers...ok sure. The tech shortened them and fixed the two nails only to leave the nails not filed straight, super sharp on the edges and left a ton of nail product on my fingers which if you were a professional, you'd know that could cause contact dermatitis. But I'm just the paying customer so what do I know? The guys are the front are sweet and have great customer service but aside from that, my experience was less than pleasant. read more
