Let me start off by saying you should read the reviews in the "not recommended section" because those are all very helpful reviews. A friend recommended this salon to me and I'm soo grateful she did! I stopped in looking to get a gel pedicure, and just a basic manicure. They didn't pressure me to get anything more expensive, but they did tell me that they have SNS which is great to know for the future! I am very happy with my nails! I'm new to SA and finding a good nail salon has been a hassle, but I finally found one I love! The two technicians that were in today were really nice and welcoming! I am one who enjoys talking while I get my nails done and I had a great conversation. I didn't catch my technicians name but she did an amazing job! 1st time I went , was great service. Second time wasn't that great. The owner who did my nails was in a rush and didn't do the best job unfortunately. I'm afraid I'm going to have to get my nails re done. I originally had a black tip because of Halloween and wanted to black tip off so I went in for fill and they said they could do it without taking off so of course I did it. During the appt, my technician changed to the owner and he seemed frustrated and rushed. He originally left them super think and I had to ask to shave down the inside because it was noticeably thick. He seemed frustrated that I asked and said that he wished I would've told him earlier. That's a part of getting your nails done or filled. I likely will have to get this fixed. I got here and showed the guy doing my nails (who turned out to be the owner) an inspo pic which he told me $75. I told him I wanted a clear base instead of pink and he told me it would be "ugly" then after he was done with the filing and drilling I noticed a small little Knick and asked him to fix it which then he proceeded to say he can't or else it will be thick and I said I would like it fixed anyways. He started arguing with me so I told him I was going to leave as my nails were he then threaten to cut them down even though I was still going to pay for the work he did do. When I was going to pay for the work he did do, at the counter he then started yelling and arguing and I told him he was being rude and said I was turning it around on him? There were other customers around which seemed like some regulars just sitting and watching. I told him if he would stop arguing with me I would like to just continue since I was already half way done... mistake my nails are already chilling and I'm this was on Wednesday, today is Friday. Unfortunate because this place is very close to me which is why I decided to try it out. Although he did end up finishing my nails the experience was completely ruined and not worth $85 read more

Worst pedicure. The guy was rude, cut my nails so short that hurts. Cotton keep stuck on my nails because he didn't file them or polished. When he was applying the color looks very bad and when I told him I didn't like it he started yelling at me in front of all the customers. The manager had to finish my pedicure. I went in to get my eyebrows done. Everything is extremely clean and the place itself is very pretty and modern. My eyebrows took less than 5 minutes to get done and all staff was incredibly friendly. Everyone wore a mask and it wasn't crowed it all. There was only one customer getting her nails done when I went in so I'm not sure if they do walk ins or by appointment for nail services but I was in and out of there in a jiffy and I will definitely return in the future when I need my eyebrows done again. read more

I called to make an appointment and to ask the amount for a fill and pedicure. The amount quoted $60 with regular nail polish. I usually get shellac when getting a fill but I'm on a super tight budget this month. Service and friendliness was stagnant. When checking out I stated $60 and I'll leave a tip(common courtesy). I get acrylic shellac and it comes out to about $60 for a relatively long nail (not too long though, when I got them about 3cm longer and with dip the price was bumped to $70). Today I went in for the first time and saw MIMI! Seriously the best manicure I've had done in a long time, I've tried everywhere in the city and wasted a ton of money for something I'm not happy with but not today! MIMI is the best nail tech in San Antonio for sure! She made awesome color recommendations and even when I changed my mind on colors she was sooooo sweet and kind. Every step of the manicure she asked if I liked shape, length, color and making sure I was comfortable. She talked with me during the job too so it was never awkward silence. HORRIBLE experience. The guy that did my dip manicure did a very bad job and they were very lumpy and thick. He kept redipping to try to smooth them out. (He did not have clean hands and there was cotton stuck to his fingers that kept getting on my nails.) Even after he put everything up and was filing with the drill he went back to grab the dip again to attempt to fix the mess. I came here with plenty of time before my next appt but this took way longer than supposed to. Steven the owner asked if I still had time and I said no I'm already late for my appt and I needed to go. Steven said I could come back after and he would fix them personally. However before I left I was charged full price for this disaster that wasn't anywhere near done. I didn't have time to argue (I regretted this later) and rushed out. I came back hoping Steven would fix it. After a long wait the same guy began to start on the filing again. I could tell he was trying to take as much off before Steven saw. Steven then took over and was confident he could fix/thin them out. The guy and Steven argued for awhile as he worked on my nails which I found very rude considering I had no idea what they were saying about the situation/me. Steven tried to excuse this by saying it's the brand of the dip and he was "throwing them all out" (I've used the brand MANY times before elsewhere and never had this happen). I told him it wasn't the dip powder and the guy just did wayy too many layers. I asked if we could start over and he said no he could fix it. He said we needed to go over with a different brand of dip since the coloring was uneven after drill filing so much. I told him this would make it even more thick, which I was proven right. Steven was frustrated I wanted to start over. While I was waiting for it to soak off, Steven did another persons manicure from start to finish. They only had three people working. Even after all that time Steven had to scrub the globs off my nails, he was in shock and said he should've listened to me. He said I was right they were way to thick but he wasn't able to tell where my nail was before? I debated asking for a refund and leaving with bare nails but I really needed them done for an event and Steven ensured he would make me happy. Not true. Steven started over with a different color. My nails literally hurt and Steven made my fingers raw in two spots from the nail file that are still burning two days later. Also the "gel base" used made my eyes burn extremely bad and made Stevens nose burn as well which again I've never had happen elsewhere or seen that base used with dip. At least my nails look much better now. However this made me late to my night class when he had told me I would be done way sooner. Steven was also teasing me that I was irritated, asked "aren't I having fun?" and joked that I should skip class. So rude since I was there literally ALL day. Absolutely ridiculous. Then Steven gives me a $5 loyalty gift card for all of that trouble. What a joke. I will never come back here and wish I never had. (I'm not unnecessarily picky or rude to nail technicians. This was just miserable a waste of $50 and my day) read more

I found this shop in passing it's small and kinda hidden. It's right in a busy location, but when I went in on a Tuesday afternoon it was pretty quiet. The location was very chic and modern looking. You could tell this was a newly opened shop. It was very clean and relaxing. The owner Steven greeting me and right way offered me a drink. I showed him a pic of what I wanted and he said "No problem." He took his time, but completed my nails with perfection! I was so impressed with the outcome. Steven mentioned he is honest in his work and if he can't do something he will tell you right away to avoid waisting the customers time and Money.
