First visit was great--my nail tech did exactly what I wanted and I left really happy. Second visit was also good service-wise, but I had an issue with pricing transparency. I was told the cat-eye polish would be an extra $15, which I agreed to. However, at checkout I realized I was charged an additional $30 on top of that $15 cat-eye charge for nail art I wasn't informed about beforehand. That brought my total add-ons to $45. My main concern is that there doesn't seem to be a clear, listed price menu for nail art, or at least the full pricing isn't communicated before services are done. I don't mind paying for extras, but I need to know all costs upfront before agreeing. I also noticed that by the time I was finishing up, the receptionist at the front's mood had noticeably changed. It felt like she was rushing my nail tech, which in turn caused my nail tech to rush the final part of my design. Because of that, the final result didn't come out exactly as I had expected. Overall, I liked my first experience, but the lack of clear pricing and communication, along with the rushed feeling at the end of my second visit, made it disappointing. read more

I had a phenomenal experience here at Lux! the area was clean, quiet, and relaxing. All of the staff was extremely sweet and helpful. Both nail techs who did my nails were very sweet and gentle, and they did an incredible job on my nails. No missed spots, no jabs, very clean and pretty nail job on both my toes and fingers. I have written great reviews for Lux in the past but sadly they have declined greatly. First off the technicians are GREAT! It's management and the direction they are going. I had bought a gift card before they changed management and when I went to use, they would not honor. Manager gave me the owner's email, and I tried reaching them several times with no reply. If it were not for the great technicians and being a long time customer, I would not have gone back. Management has now changed their nail polish supply and to carry only 1 brand, doing away with OPI others. This polish does not last and chips within days! First time, I thought it was just a bad color, but then it has happened a second and third time! My technician offered to do again, but I am done. If Lux is not interested in carrying high quality polish, I'm not interested in doing business there. read more

This is the WORST nail salon I have ever experienced. If there was a way to give businesses 0/5 stars, Lux Nails would receive it. Atmosphere 1/5 - Odd. Nothing about the decor was lux. Most nail salons follow a pretty standard design scheme. This place was filled with at least a half dozen strange-looking white statues. I should have turned around and walked out when I saw them. The one star in this category is because the establishment was clean. Costumer service 1/5 - When the employees started debating in their native language about the price of the service I requested, an acrylic overlay with gel polish, I should have known this wasn't the place for me. They brought a young lady from the back to clarify service and price. She spoke English very well and presented a very nasty attitude; no smile, no greeting. I'm giving star in this category for offering me a can of Sprite when I sat down. Nail Service 0/5 - The man who did my nails tried his best but simply lacked the skills needed to properly deliver the service. He was unable to evenly apply the acrylic and did not cover the entire nail with product. Each finger was uneven and poorly shaped. Next, he was unable to evenly polish my nails. Paint was on his gloves and all over my hands! My nails were so bad I asked him to remove all the color and have someone else paint them. Can you guess who was called? Yes. Her. Her painting skills were also bad. When I asked her to fix them before curing them, she asked, "what's wrong with them?" Are you kidding me? Not sure what their name were but my friend and I went to get our nails the other day and the people who did our nails were talking mad shit when we literally speak the same language like please. Not only did they talk shit and complain about MY NAIL LENGTH, they also rushed through the whole process, did not cut or push back my cuticles and ended up cutting 3 of my fingers. The lady who did my nails were so rough and only wanted to be done early, she did not shape my nails the way i wanted it and my french tip looks like it just got out of WWII, my nails also feels super fragile and sore? which have never happened before. I recently visited Lux Nails Bar for a birthday manicure and pedicure. It was a perfect birthday treat! I saw the sign that said Grand Opening, so I figured I would stop on by after my birthday visit to The Joint. (The shop itself had apparently been open for a while, but is still fairly new). When I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a Grecian palace with the light colors, vaulted ceilings and arch ways. After choosing a color, I sat down at my pedicure station and watched My Lottery Dream Home. The employee who took care of me was super nice and wished me a happy birthday and chatted with me some about the show. Then when it was time for my full set, I moved over to the manicure chairs and settled in for the long haul. Fake nails (as I call them) take forever but are worth the wait! This is only my second time getting fake nails, so I was still unsure of what to ask for/the process, but I absolutely loved my nails at the end. They were the epitome of my spirit color (I believe it was called London Bridge or Fog) and I got so many compliments on them! It was hard to type my midterm the next day, but worth it. They lasted me about 3.5 weeks, but could've lasted longer if I didn't type and pick at them as much. My reason for giving 4/5 stars was although some of my friends paid for my nails, I was still shocked at the price. I did spring for the second cheapest pedicure and shellac fake nails, but the sticker price still through me. Additionally, try as hard as they could, my pedicure water was either way too hot or just barely warm, it couldn't seem to hit that sweet spot. Overall will visit again next time I decide to treat my hands and feet! read more

This was my first time coming here & I have mixed feelings about my visit here. I will say the staff was very nice & polite when I first walked in. Very friendly & very clean environment. Now I went in asking for a DIP MANICURE. Not a polish change which is exactly what these people did. If you go to any nail salon and you say MANICURE, a manicure includes cuticle trimming, and cleaning the finger nails... not just taking the polish off and slabbing a new color on. Which is exactly what these people did. So I was disappointed in that. Secondly the guy who did my nails didn't ask what shape I wanted for my nails he just proceeded to make them rounder when I clearly had square nails and emphasized that I wanted square nails and then told me that one of my nails is crooked and he couldn't fix it, as you can see in the third picture. Lastly, I sat there waiting for my nails to air dry and they told me I was fine to get up and leave cause they were done & me assuming that they're dry and finished I grabbed my wallet and keys out of my purse and the polish literally smeared right off and was dented and squishy. I could poke my nail into it and the nail would leave a dent in the polish... so they kindly fixed them for me but made me feel like it was such a hassle for them to do. So I made them just have me dry my nails with the UV light instead because I was not about to have them air dry again. Over all, the customer service was a 7/10. The nails themselves probably a 6/10. Forgive me for being picky but paying 50+ dollars for nails, I kinda have a right to be. Be wise and verbal on your nails if you decide going here and use the UV light. Update 2 days after having them done: the clear coat they put on top of the nail to make it shine is peeling on all of my fingers. Wont be coming back to this nail salon... read more

I used to go to Lux Nails Bar to get my nails done by Tina and/or her husband Mathew I absolutely loved how they do my nails. Until last week, I walked in and was told they didn't work there anymore and that they went back to their home in Vietnam. Well, I found out that that was not true at all. The manager lied! They both now work across the street at R&N Nails at 5215 Dezavala Road. It was so nice to see them both. I will now be going here from now on and not to Lux Nails Bar. Overpriced sloppy work. Did a gel manicure very rushed and left acrylic (from two tips I added) on my finger along with unclean edges of gel polish and she barely touched my cuticles. When I asked politely to clean it up a little, she barely did anythig and followed with "youre done." Won't be coming back I can get a way nicer gel manicure for less than $45. read more

The foot massaging was barely any pressure and I would rather just massage my own feet. Come here for the bare minimums for Pedicures. The salon I was going the tech up and left so I have to find a new salon. So I decided to try this salon. I knew I should of walked out when she stated she didn't want to do a simply design that I showed her. HORRIBLE customer service. Then I showed her another pic and she stated since I had powder she would have to do a new set. I declined and just asked for a fill. I asked was she able to do a design she told me to find one. I found a simple design with just lines abs she couldn't even do that. By that time I was pretty much over it & ready to go. I paid n left & absolutely hated my nails. Why did I pay ? Why did I leave bc I was over the experience. I called to let them know I was not happy n the guy said well she spent time on your nails. So I went back up there for her to at least fix the shape & Tina Tran stands over me talking about well different people do different shapes. No ma'am if you can't do something just say that.
