Eventually, I stopped speaking up and let the service continue. The overall atmosphere was also off. Instead of relaxing spa music, the TV played a continuous loop of Korean food videos, which made the experience feel anything but spa-like. The appointment took nearly two hours, and unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the quality of the work. Despite my disappointment, I still paid the high price for the service. When it came time to pay, I voiced my concerns and was asked why I hadn't spoken up during the appointment. I explained that communication had been difficult throughout the service, which was the main reason I struggled to express my concerns in the moment. We chose the Lavish pedicure, which is the most basic option and it did make me wonder if that influenced the level of service we received. Regardless of price, I would expect to be treated with the same level of care and professionalism. I had framed this as something fun for us to do together and I didn't want her to feel that tension. Toward the end, we also felt rushed out, even while our polish was still fresh.
