I don't know if I booked a nail appointment or signed up for boot camp. Nina at this jail salon treated my hands like they personally offended her. If my hand wasn't positioned exactly how she wanted, SMACK. If my fingers didn't move fast enough, SMACK. If I blinked wrong? Honestly, I'm surprised I didn't get smacked for that too. It felt more like dealing with a correctional officer than a nail tech. I was genuinely afraid to move my fingers because every tiny adjustment was met with a disciplinary tap, as if I was being punished just for existing. (There were other men there who actually took responsibility, such as the ones who asked for a refund after she added gel when we didn't request it -- and she charged us for a spa treatment instead of the usual $20 fee.) At that point, I was just expecting to be charged extra for breathing or emotional distress. If you enjoy being treated like an inmate instead of a client, this is the place for you. If not, run. Protect your hands. read more

I came in with my best friend to start this weekend birthday. This was an excellent way to get it started!! I am Embarrassed that I didn't get the names of the two who helped me and my bestie. The massage was phenomenal. They were talking to each other in a different language. It was a very chill and wonderful vibe. Every person who worked here greeted us and were flipping wonderful. I promise that you will not be disappointed. read more

Theres a sign that says they open @9:30 got there at that time and even waited 20 mins and no they never opened need to update their times

I know there's like a million nail salons around 1604/Culebra area, but this place did a pretty good job. The reason for 3 stars is the whole salon smelled sooo strongly of chemical nail everythiiiiing that I had to take shallow breaths so I won't inhale too much of it. Other than that, they were all friendly, enjoyed the usual chat with them. They do offer discounts and they are not that busy. Fairly priced and great quality. My shellac nails last almost a month, the only reason I took it was because my nails weeds growing. If they took care of the strong smell, I would change to a 4 star, but my lungs were screaming at this visit. read more

Best pedicure experience I've ever had. I came on a walk-on basis today and was immediately taken care of. My toes were in DIRE need of attention, due to being 7 months pregnant and unable to reach my toes anymore! I chose the Herbal Pedicure which had multiple amazing massages and smelled fantastic as well. Ryan was my nail tech, and he was very nice and did a great job. My feet and lower legs are very happy now...plus my toes are now cute again! Will definitely come back again. read more

I wanted to try a new nail place so I went here and I think I got the "new guy". I told him my colors and quietly under his breath he asked me a question and his boss who I'm assuming was the manager told him shhh shhh no and mumbled to him something in Vietnamese which I also assume was don't ask just do. I asked him if the question he asked me was do I want shilack (however you spell it) and he said oh yes it was. I felt like they were trying to sneak an extra $5 in by not "asking me if I wanted that. Then once I told him I approved of the shilack it lasted less than two weeks! I thought this stuff was supposed to last longer or at least two weeks isn't that why you pay the extra. Needless to say I was very disappointed and won't be returning to be ripped off again. read more

I honestly wouldn't even give this place one star because my appointment was at 9:30 and it wasn't even open yet. Called, no answer! Waited for a few minutes, then went to LaBella ( my 2nd option ), always have a backup plan. So glad I went there instead! I now have a new nail salon. read more

I love this place so much! The staff here are so nice and really attentive. I came in with my sister and mother for a little pampering one day. I got my nails really long. After realizing they were too long for my liking I came back the next day to get them shortened. I was expecting to pay, of course. But I was surprised by the end that they were happy to have done the nail shortening for free. Plus they were very attentive to my boyfriend as well by bringing him a free beverage and he wasn't even a paying customer. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxing mani/pedi read more

Writing this review is truly heartbreaking. I've been to this establishment for 4 years. Always had great service. I made friends with almost every employee. Having that connection truly made a difference. Until now. Since become a new mom I never leave my home other than to go to work and get groceries. I decided to treat myself to a pedicure for a late Mother's Day gift. 2 days later I felt bumps around my ankle. Thought made some type of bug bit me when I was walking through my front yard. Then 5 days passed and I had spots appear on my ankle and lower legs, similar to how chicken pox look. On the 6th day, I started getting concerned and so I called the spa to inform them I was heading to Texas Med because I believe I may have gotten some allergic reaction to something from their shop. Of those as any business they tried to assure me everything is clean there. After I left Texas Med on the 6th day I was informed that I had FUNGUS on my legs!!! I was in such shock. They told me how it can take 4-6 weeks to get rid of, how it's contagious, and how much of a health hazard this can be. I was given oral medication and ointment to apply. It's been 9 days since I've visited Texas Med and my feet/lower legs are completely covered in fungus!! I am now going to seek medical treatment with my PA in hopes that she can find a quicker solution to this. It's only getting worse each day. I was conflicted on writing this post but I came across someone how posted something similar a year ago from this same location, she had gotten fungus as well but in her toe. I'm writing this to help prevent anyone else from experiencing what I'm currently going through. I cry everyday from this. I have to wear pants and socks 24/7 so that my 8month baby doesn't get infected. Fighting the urge to not scratch, having to endure the pain of my legs and feet burning. I pray no one else experiences this pain. read more

I love how clean and pretty it is in here: they have a huge selection of colors, gel colors, dip powder and acrylic powder. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are good too. Both my feet and hands were done beautifully and I'm definitely going to become a regular. Their prices are really good, at least for me, I moved from Dubai where nail upkeep was extremely expensive, and I'm originally from NJ so the prices are super similar to NJ so I thought that was a plus. They do have promotions and discounts which is a plus too. They did my fill in over someone else's work because I got them done in NJ while visiting my mom and it was super neat and pretty. My pedicure was the best part too. I got the nu skin and it definitely does what it says in the description. read more

From the second we walked in the doors we had an amazing experience. The sweet smell of candles burning greeted us. The salon was impeccably clean. They use all natural ingredients, which I really like. We got here during a lull and had no wait at all. Linh did an amazing job on my nails! She has magic hands that give an incredible calf massage! I had picked a color from the color book but when she started to apply the color to my nails, I didn't like it so she graciously removed the color and let me pick a new color. She told me she wanted me to love my nails. While I got my pedicure, my niece got a new set of dip acrylic nails applied. Katie spent time making sure they were perfect. Before we even left the salon, she was already getting compliments on her nails. Will definitely come back and highly recommend this salon. read more

Each time I come in here they are always sooooo busy, which is great business for them! But they never turn customers away. Instead of saying they don't have the time, they ask the customer to wait... then 30+ minutes goes by and the customers end up walking out. There are only two techs that I've noticed who do nails, and I don't think they've ever had a conversation with me. I've been coming in every 3 weeks for about 6 months. I always come back because I think the next time it would be better but it's just getting worse. I went in one week ago to get my acrylic nails taken off and to get a gel mani. I was charged $60 for my nails to look like this (this is one week grow out, but you can see how awful the cuticles look). They had grooves in almost all of the nails and four of my nails are already peeling. I refuse to keep giving them money for nails to look like this.. please hire more staff or train the other ten people doing pedicures how to do nails so the nails techs can take their time with their customers! I would suggest this place for pedicures only.. read more
