I've been here a couple times for a pedicure they always come a good job but today I decided to go for a pedicure and to get my nails done & left unhappy I should've of just walked out ! The customer service is not that great . They don't try to understand what you want as a customer nor take their time !! I got a simple French tip but without no tips, I wanted acrylic and I should've just gone to a my homebase nail tech like I always do because I have no shape to my nail the French tip polish is not fully completed .. my pinky nail looks crooked and I had multiple people working on my nails because each person didn't know how to do a certain thing just for my nails to come out to $135 this price was not worth what my nails look like ... I have gone to this salon several times and been happy every time until this. They are prompt on services and I like the convenience. HOWEVER, the way I was just treated is not something I take lightly. I received my customer satisfaction survey after my appointment and I expressed my disappointment in my new nails. I was asked to call to speak directly to them. I decided to just drive by so they could see what exactly I was disappointed about. I was really hopeful about this. They cared enough to ask about my satisfaction, but truth is they don't really care and treated me poorly when I tried to work with them. I was polite and explained that I have really enjoyed this salon, but I think this time was a miss. I said how the nails were beautiful and I know he took a lot of time a care on them, but they are just not what I asked for. The manager? Instantly started telling me how it was my fault and that I should have stopped him at one nail. She said that if I wasn't happy I should have said something. Well, I did and I thought that was exactly what I was doing right now too. --- The service was horrible. They said I HAD to get shellac; it was not an option once I was in my seat. When I didn't want to pay for it, they called the police on me. I never received the polish or my full pedicure. I stopped them before they started. Anyway, the police came and saw that obviously I didn't receive the service she tried to charge me for. The location is in a rough part of San Antonio, and they are trying to sneak in extra charges later on. I was willing to pay for what I was initially offered, not the price after I sat in the seat. I see Van at MV Nails and I recommend her. You do have to make an appointment for her, she's not always available for walk-ins, she's very popular because she's really really good. I give her 100% freedom on my nails. She asks if I want such and such color, I'll say yes or no, and she does her thing. I've never been disappointed in her work. Customer service/owner sucks, asked for a medium coffin from the nail tech that did my nails which litterly used the nail sizer on the nail clippers, I go up to pay and the nail tech taps in full set acrylic, the owner stops her changes it, to "long" which adds $10 then taps in "special shape" adds another $10, the nail tech used the pointed tip and just clipped the point off to shape it to the coffin shape, I asked the owner why all the extra charges and she starts saying I CAN CUT THEM DOWN and you asked for that shape, I tell her what's so special about the shape and why should I pay extra if I didn't ask for long and the nail tech measured the length. She's rude with an ugly attitude! I wouldn't recommend anyone ever again to go there. read more

I made sure to call to make sure a walk-in for 3 would be okay. They could have told us no but instead told us to to go ahead and come in. This was my family & I's first time getting a mani EVER, I made sure to express that to the person at the front. I asked if we could sit together and was told no, which I understand since this was a walk in. But I was upset to find out the nail technician cut some of the skin on my niece's thumb. Continue reading for what else was wrong about this experience: The 2nd technician was in such a rush she cut my boyfriends skin to the point it kept bleeding, even after she was done. Lastly, the nail polish on one of my nails began to chip the next day. We paid $80 dollars for a terrible first experience. I will reiterate, they could have just told us no. I have been coming here about 2 years since I moved to San Antonio. Usually they do great, however this time was no so good. I usually have Wen or Alex and they do fantastic, but today I had a girl who I have never seen. I asked for French tips with hearts like in the last picture. The first couple pictures are what I received. Some of them you can't even tell are hearts. I told them I had to be somewhere in the next couple hours but the girl completely rushed through them and didn't even fully file my nails, finishing with 30-40 mins and they charged me 85 dollars for this. This place has gone downhill so quickly, you make appointments only to find that the nail tech/owner who confirmed the appt isn't there. This has happened twice now in the past two days. When against better judgment went with another tech, she was rude, completely ignored what I asked for and then got upset with me when I asked her to fix it. I will not go back, as long time mani-pedi customers we will not go back. Don't walk away, run. The chairs are old, the staff is rude and completely unreliable. Not to mention the phone always rings busy. The work is sloppy and the customer service is terrible. read more

So very upset!!! I went in this evening @ 5:35pm on 8/11/23 a Friday, and asked if I can get a broken toe nail repaired with some kind of overlay, because the broken, attached, nail was too low to cut and would be very painful. (I have done this in the past and did not think anything if it.). They sat me down to work on it. A nail tech came and repaired, and freshly painted the identical polish I had on previously as I was in there one week ago for a mani/Pedi and I am a frequent customer. I go to pay for my repair and completely balked at the $10 charge!!! For a single nail repair?! RIDICULOUS! After questioning the young man, very sternly, he said, "she told me to charge you $4 for nail repair and $6 service charge because you didn't get a service...". I said that's ridiculous and robbery here. An older man came over and kept telling me, "I'll give you back your money..." over and over as I kept telling them they were nickel and diming people to the point of raping us continuously and I said No, keep your service charge because that included her tip and I will not be back here, EVER! And neither will my mother as we both are customers about every two weeks there and they know who we are and are generous tippers. They questioned "she didn't tell you how much before?" I said no! But I will never go back because I am a person of principle and they will never get another chance to steal money from me ever again! GO SOME PLACE ELSE or risk them poking your eyes out!!! read more

We just moved here from Vegas. I have pretty high standards when going to nail salons. I read some reviews on this place and decided to try it out. We went in on a Sunday morning and They were a little busy but still addressed us very quickly and took time on each client to make sure they left satisfied. The guy who did my nails took time to strategically place each piece of foil so that they looked how I wanted them too. They also did my 10 years old nails and they were adorable. My new place to get my nails done! There is never a wait longer than 10min, probably bc they have a lot of ppl working which is great. The pedicures are super relaxing and last about two weeks. The nail techs can do anything you ask. I feel like sometimes they just make up random prices lol but it's always reasonable. This isn't my usual nail place but it's the closest to my house & I was on a time crunch. I've been here before & have had both good & bad experiences, just depends who the nails tech is. Just really enjoy the fact they stay open late, I went in at 6:45 for a gel manicure , they close at 7:30. I left around an hour later & people were still coming in. I asked my nail tech to soak off my acrylics & she said it wasn't necessary & dismissed what I had asked her to do. She took my acrylics off with another nail, two of my nails weren't budging & she made me bleed trying to take them off so she ended up having to do a soak anyways. I had a gel manicure done, very fast, looked super cute but I noticed she applied too many coats. 2 days later the polish on my thumb started chipping a little, the next day I noticed my thumb was completely bare after I got out the shower. The remaining polish fell off while I was in the shower. Overall it's not the worst place to visit but it's not my first choice. The techs are always super nice but tend to do their own thing if you let them. Won't be going back to get my next gel set. read more

I went so that they could fix them and the lady started asking me what happened to my nails and as I'm telling her they're just looking at me as if I'm crazy. She started to insinuate that I pretty much broke my own nails off just to come back and get free services. I had to tell her I own a business I don't need nothing for free but if I pay $90 to get my nails did the least they could do was fix them. She proceeds to tell me that I am going to have to pay some more money for them to fix my nails, when the nails are extremely thin on my fingers, then she says you should have told him to make it thicker. When I went back to have it fixed the following day the nail tech informed me I was told it would be $7 and when I told her that I JUST got them done she rudely responded "It's still going to be $7" and that I needed to be more careful if I'm going to have them long. I've been getting my nails done for years and never had this happen no matter the length at any other salon. She was extremely rude & it was just horrible customer service. I went to get a pedicure about a week ago it was overpriced but that's whatever , my foot was feeling a little odd so I checked the bottom of my foot and sure enough they gave me a WART ! I don't even know why I'm surprised they're equipment didn't looked disinterested nor clean.
