I am pretty disappointed, I asked for almond nails once I sat down and the lady looked at my hands she called another lady over and they were talking about my thumbs:/... she was being very mean to me and made my cuticles bleed not only that I got charged $91 for messed up nails, they were extremely bulky I told her and she didn't care the acrylic is touch the skin on the sides, nail polish is uneven and acrylics were shaved down horribly. Lots of pressure to spend more money. I felt like I had to fight the one or both of the men (manager and nail tech) the entire time. About everything from which package I would choose, nail color, nail shape, whether or not the design looked right, even which package I received. Then didn't tell me there would be up charges for having different colored nails and for having a verrrry basic design. It ended up being around $67 (not including tip) for gel polish, more than one color, and a simple design on two of the nails. read more

I visited this shop unexpectedly and based my decision on the fact that they had 4.5 out of 5 stars, that being said, I don't know how they managed to get such good reviews because my experience was far from great. For starters, my daughter and I were seated and had to wait 30 minutes, although we called ahead of time and were told that there was no wait. After waiting, I figured it's ok; it'll be fine. Then when Lucy came over to begin my service, she asked me what I wanted and I said, "mani/pedi" she proceeded to say that she could only put clear polish if I did that. I said, "I brought my own, is that, ok" and she answered that they had a clear polish policy unless I upgraded. I'm so confused because I have never heard of a shop that forces you to upgrade in order to polish your nails with a colored nail polish. At the same time, my daughter asked for a classic pedicure and was repeatedly asked to upgrade to a different pedicure and or gel and when she replied, "No Thank you..." was given a pedicure with some attitude. I ended up canceling my manicure and leaving because the visit was neither pleasant nor relaxing. Finally, although the nail salon menu of services offered drinks such a soda, margaritas, and wine, we were not even offered water. However, I will say, If you want good service with a a good attitude, I would recommend asking for David because the lady next to me was getting very good service and he was checking in with her often. They did NOT do cute pink cherry toes--- that is What I asked for vs what I got. At least he covered my toes in oil to try to soothe all the cuts he gave me, after he still sprayed them with alcohol to clean before painting . I'm not even going to get into other things that happened here bc not worth my energy. All I care about is if you say you can do something and do it good- then I'd expect you to deliver. These were $65 (no pedicure, just acrylic and shellac polish and trashy cherry drawing) and I still tipped $5 just bc he was trying to be nice for most of the time, then lost the fakeness towards the end of the service prob when he realized I didn't like them even tho I didn't say it bc I just wanted to get out of there. After he painted just 2 toes French tip The acrylic should've been light pink first of all but I didn't notice the difference right away. But once he started painting white tip he had just done pinky toe and started next one and I asked him if he could do pink like the pic and he very clearly got bothered so I quickly said okay it's fine don't worry about it just do the white. I doubt I'll ever return. But it's so close to home and they're open late, so if I do, then I'll hopefully be updating my review with more stars and cuter toe pics bc this ain't it . read more

The whole time my girl was getting her feet and nails done I was being given frozen margaritas and relaxed In a massage chair. It also wasn't that expensive to get her feet and hands done. Ms Kathy/Katbrows trainee did a phenomenal job on my eyebrows. I was super impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail, making sure my eyebrows were done to perfection. I usually wouldn't take such a risk allowing a student to perform something semi permanent on my face, but I do not regret it. Kathy is such a great teacher and made sure her trainee received both encouragement and gentle correction with a side of humor. The atmosphere was super welcoming and peaceful. I highly recommend. My daughter and I spend tons of money for our nails to be done. w moved to SATX last year during the pandemic and was We usually make appointments but on rare occasions, and I mean almost never will go as a walk-in. 2 weeks ago we had appointments with Kathy, co owner of Trendique. The first appointment was for me at 3pm, fill and simple design. My daughter was getting a full set with not so simple designs. I walk in solo and there was a line at the front check in counter. The ladies in front of me were there for pedicures but they did not realize they had to check in at the kiosk. Why because everyone in the shop was too busy to say something after they clearly acknowledged they were there so I said something and they were then approached by not the two owners, not the front desk receptionist but by an older gentleman. I check in at 2:55 and said to Kathy I have an appointment with you at 3pm. She said have a seat, I'll be with you soon. Her soon was 4:40pm. My mistake was staying past 3:30 because I could see when I walked in she was no where near done with her client! When I told her what I wanted she told me what the cost was $75 and mentioned it being $20 less so I said okay! In my mind she had inflated the price of a fill and a design and then was going to charge me $55. Wrong!!!! When I went to go pay she gave me no slip so I said 55 to the receptionist. She said something in her language but I understood $75 when that came out of her mouth. I said for what???? Fills are $40 so you charged an extra $35 for THIS! My daughter visited the nail salon on Aug 1st and my daughter asked how long had she been there and she said she was new. That's okay because everyone has to start out somewhere but when she came home and I saw her nails they were totally unacceptable! I can't believe no one checked her work and upset my daughter didn't speak up! I can only compare her nails to can openers or a box cutter! I spoke with Oscar and he said to have her to come back in and it will be fixed. She returned and was told they could file them down but if she wanted them done over they would have to charge her. I told her to just have them to file them down but it didn't even look like anything at all had been fixed or corrected. Good job on less than subpar work.
