I ordered some shirts for my hubby in Nov and barely getting back to returning them. Take note! 30 day return policy. Was purchasing more shirts and the manager said I could do paperwork and to sell a slightly used on JCrews recycle site. I said they could keep the shirt. I didn't care if I got money back for it or not and the clerk saw I was buying more merchandise and spent the time to get the shirt exchanged which I truly appreciate. I had to come by the store to make a return on an online purchase and it was a very simple and quick process. The staff were really friendly and great at communicating with me as well as acknowledging folks in line. The store is a little small so the line gets long quickly and there are only 2 check out stations at the counter. All in all, it was a good experience and I enjoyed my visit. read more

My legs are 44 inches hip to toe. Julia Roberts says this to Richard Gere in the movie "Pretty Woman". As a joke (since I'm the same height), my sister measured me and I'm close! If you're tall(er), you will love shopping at JCrew. One of the few places that sells pants in a "Long" size option. Over half my wardrobe is JCrew because it fits me so well. This J. Crew is okay. It doesn't feel that big, with the women's section up front and the men's section crammed into the back. I come here quite a lot to check sales and the sales racks never seem to be very full. I think sales are supposed to be standard across all stores but I feel like the one in Seattle has more sale items. Yes my review is similar to the Seattle store, but I would like to emphasize that Bellevue's customer service is top notch. If you need a size they will offer to check with the other stores or use the red phone to order online with the in store price, typically shipping is free. On top of being super nice. For menswear it has a good amount of blazers, most of the shirts in the catalog, urban slim chinos, and a decent amount of denim... not much footwear or suits. So almost similar to downtown. This store is very well stocked with girlswear but goes fast... So commentary on the line, both mens/womanswear is nice, clean, sharp, progressive. ... last few years JCrew has been on the up and up. the new creative has reinvigorated the style, fit and appeal...if u don't believe me go check Jcrew.com.. JCrew is my staple for basics, necessities, and some go to pieces. Can't load up on all Band of Outsiders Flannels, APC Jeans, Rag Bone Cardigans... U get the pictures..mix the high and the medium.. This is my favorite JCREW by far. They have the best selection on sale items. The downtown store is currently not selling sale items until July of '08 so I had to swtich to shopping at the bellevue store. As I swithced, I decided that I like this Jcrew more. It's a lot less stressful than downtown shopping. And also, a lot less pretentious. Although some of their clothes are nordstrom prices and then some, I can't complain becasue most everything will go on sale. At the end of each season, they always have an additional 25% off for a good 2 or 3 days to rummage through things. ALSO, make sure you ask about the student discount. I use my Husky card at pacplace, uvill and bellevue, and that 10% makes a big difference. And also, if you find something you like that is not in the store but they have it online in the catalog, make sure to have one of the associates order it for you, because whenever you order from the store, you get free shipping charges. J.Crew is one of my favorite stores, and this being the store in my city, I primarily shop at this location. It's one of the best ones in the state, as the store is always clean, even when it's busy. The sales staff is also nice, too, and have helped me get items that they didn't have in store online and shipped to my apartment. They seem to always be very patient and helpful, which contrasts with other J.Crews I've been to in the state. The only negative is that since I used to live in DC, I was spoiled with the J.Crews there because they're bigger and have much more stock, so think that this, and all the other WA J.Crews, are small in comparison. But, I recommend starting a store profile so that the staff can help you find items online and have it shipped for you. read more

This location is conveniently located, well organized/clean, and is well assorted but the service is HORRIBLE and inconsistent at best. I work pretty damn close to this store so I'm here fairly often. I'm the type of shopper that prefers to go at it alone (meaning, I don't usually need a sales associate to help me navigate putting outfits together or to give me their opinion/approval) but I do expect a small degree of service or at least an attempt to "host" customers while in the store. Part of that feel of "hosting" or making the customer feel welcome is greeting upon entry which rarely if ever, happens. On the occasion that I have needed help, the SA's are either nowhere to be found or are too immersed in conversation with each other to notice. While the SA's lack of urgency to do even the basic duties of their jobs is extremely irritating, in my opinion the management team of this store is to blame- The management team is responsible or should be at least, for creating an environment where the SA's have been given clear expectations and proper training as to how to provide service, role modeling and and defining service behaviors, as well as creating a shopping environment that can be enjoyed not only by customers but also where SA's can at least pretend to like their job. It is crystal clear that, based on the majority of my experiences in this store, the management team either doesn't care about or is incapable of doing this. If you want an example of a team that does everything right, shop at University Village- I absolutely adore the staff there. read more

The Bellevue J. Crew location is my favorite among the 3 in the Seattle area. I've been lucky in finding great sale items here from time to time and their selection is the largest. I also think the customer service here is the best. read more

I want to love this place. I love J. Crew. However, their men's section is pathetic compared to other ones that I've been to in New York. I suppose, as a mall outlet, one can't expect much. The selection was not very good, and the price was far too much. I did not see any of the clearance items that I had seen online. It was a very poor representation of the company. I love J Crew's products and well merchandised store, but the one star is for the lack of service I receive (and have received) on many occasions at their Bellevue store. On every trip that I have been into the store, I have never been greeted and often have a handful of clothes in my arms after a few minutes of browsing- which no employee offers to take. I would rather shop online than in this store. Employees are often conversing amongst themselves or texting on their phones. Would not recommend this store if you are looking to be helped. read more

I came here late afternoon on a Thursday and though there were three employees working in the store not a single person acknowledged me. I had to seek out someone to get a fitting room and though I was one of TWO customers in the store, no one came by to check and see how I was doing. Service like this is the reason I shop at J. This is a final sale item." Whaaaaaaat? Okay, so evidently I should just know that "final sale" doesn't mean lowest price but that such items constitute voidable rights to return?
