I love visiting Lego stores when I'm out of town visiting. Each location is different and each one has different models built. This location had a life size Clone trooper built and it was awesome. I could almost hear him say, General Skywalker, should we wait for General Kenobi. Gabby who was on the floor enacting with customers was very knowledgeable and has already visited my hometown Lego store. Woohoo! Tyler and David were nice and pleasant as well. Treated my son to a Lego set and there are so many great options to choose from. Staff are so approachable and friendly from the minute you enter. Kyle helped us out. My boyfriend and I came to Seattle for our anniversary trip and had dinner at the mall--afterwards, we made a stop at the LEGO store, and it ended up being one of our favorite moments of the night! We're huge LEGO fans and were super excited to check out the store since we don't have one where we're from. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Gabby and Ashley, who were both incredibly kind and welcoming. It felt like we were just chatting with friends! They helped us sign up for a membership and were so friendly and helpful the whole time. We usually just window shop, but honestly, their amazing customer service totally won us over--we left with a purchase this time just because of how great they were! It's rare these days to find that level of genuine, friendly service in retail (at least where we're from), but these two definitely went above and beyond. By far the best location I've visited in washington state. If you're looking to bee line to the store, park near Nordstrom on the bottom floor and it'll lead you right to it. As a kid who grew up in the 80s and 90s, the golden years of legos defined much of early childhood! Seriously- did it get better than receiving a lego castle or outer space set....the answer is no! Legos also taught many (or at least me) that putting small items in your mouth can result in swallowing them inadvertently. This delightful home to all things creative and painful under foot is located in Bellevue square near the bubble waffle spot. While it's not gigantic, it honestly doesn't have to be - you can spend hours here! I took the little gents one day shortly after Christmas on a quest for some boss level sets! The array they have here is vast! Duplos to City to Super Heroes to Ninjago to Friends....you get the point! The huge builds they have out front are ever impressive - especially the storm trooper that stands around 5 feet high! They have small areas to build with normal legos as well as one for duplos. The favorite spot was definitely the mini-fig building area! For $10 you get to build three mini figures OR grab 5 pieces you like. It's a perfect place for the dudes to grab specific garb for their figures at home, a spot to grab mini animals (2 penguins, an owl, a mouse and a spider to be exact!) or to get accessories. Stuff rotates so it pays to check it out periodically! The people working here are serious lego nerds and it very refreshing to chat with another adult about new sets and good values. Honestly, this store rivals Disneyland as the happiest place in our universe! The people that work here are incredibly nice every time we come in, and Are happily on the side of the line where they are helpful rather than pushy and trying to sell something. I think they know that because we're there, we're on average going to spend something like $120 so just leading us over to where the stuff is all that needs to happen and the rest takes care of itself. I admit, The Lego Store is one of the few stores I will actually set foot in at Bellevue Square mainly because I love to play with their legos. I like how you can custom fill a container of legos, which make great starter (or nostalgic) gifts for kids and adults. The sets they have look so cool but are super pricey. I don't know if I can justify spending $100 on one set. I recently discovered you can custom make your own Lego people. Its 3 for $10, and each Lego gets a max of 5 pieces (hair/hat, head, torso, legs and accessory). The Lego Store is the place to be if you hate getting dragged to Bellevue Square. read more

Okay, I admit it... I play with all the cool Lego sets my kid has when he goes to sleep. I still have some of my own from when I was a kid 35 years ago. I get so excited every time we go to the Lego store, I instantly revert back to when I was 5. Right now they are in the process of a much-needed expansion in the store... you will find the temporary location just down the way. Every time we go to the store, we are always either greeted, smiled at or are acknowledged by one of the employees. The shelves are well stocked, organized and everything is lined up meticulously. One problem I have, is the pick-a-brick wall selection is kind of lame. Whenever we're there, it's pretty much the same stock. However, once you have mastered the art of filling the pick-a-brick cups, it's a GREAT deal! On the weekends the store gets very busy and a bit claustrophobic. The lines get pretty long too, however they are very efficient and keep everything moving along as fast as they possibly can. As far as returns go, it's no questions asked or weirdness. They're happy to either refund your money, give you a store credit, or make suggestions to help you find something that will work better. The only complaint I have, is I wish they had a Lego store around when I was a kid! read more

Legos!!!!!!! By far, the best part about this store is taking a ride back to childhood! Second best is probably the awesome displays up in the place. My favorite has to be the huge R2D2 they had there a while back! Lots of box sets available as well as individual pieces to purchase too. This spot seems well-stocked pretty much every time I've gone in. It's definitely more enjoyable stepping in when it's not insanely crowded (I.e. not peak hours on the weekend or near the holiday rush), but even when it is crowded the staff has been friendly and helpful...and they seem ready to ring you up and get you on your way if you're ready too. A really fun shop for the kid in all of us (wheeee, nostalgia!) and for kids too of course! read more

Welp, it's probably time for me to write a review of this Lego Store location considering how much time and money I've spent here. To begin, I am AFOL (adult fan of Lego). I have so many sets I had to download an app just to keep track of them. I got renters insurance purely for my collection. Legos are a pretty serious passion and hobby of mine. And it doesn't hurt that some of my favorite films, superheroes, comic books, cartoons, holidays, organizations, ideas, places, and things are represented amongst the Lego lineup. Naturally the first thing I looked up when I moved to Seattle was the nearest Lego Store and I've been coming to this location ever since. Most Lego Stores I've been in are in malls and therefore, pretty similar. (Except for that one time I went to the Lego Store near Disneyland and holy crap was that epic!) And this location is no different. You'll see the walls lines with current and "hard to find" sets spanning all price ranges and sizes. Plus, you'll likely see a brick wall where you can stock up on bulk bricks, a kids building area, displays with pre-built sets, and a stand where you can make your own Lego Minifigures. The make-your-own MiniFig station is actually my favorite part. I spend at least 20 minutes digging through the accessories, faces, shirts, pants, and hats to find lots of new items I haven't added to our bulk Lego collection yet. Just be sure to wash your hands after digging through those bins, because kids. This location I think has the highest track record of not letting me down. I can usually just show up on a Saturday with a set in mind and find it in stock. This last trip I was able to snag some season Halloween sets, the new Lego Ideas Fishing House, and the BB-8, which is what I came there for. One thing I can't really depend on this store for is having the Minifigure Sets I'm specifically looking for in stock. If you're a Lego fan and a collector, you know how coveted those damn blind bags become. I usually find them at Target, Walgreens, Bartells, etc. But whenever I'm at a Lego Store, I always check their inventory. This time around they had a full box of a older set I already completed. I have yet to work with this location on a VIP Lego Club pre-sale of a new set. But when that time comes, I'll update you. The staff seems pretty friendly, but not the best I've had at other Lego Store locations around the U.S. Also, one thing I noticed at other locations is that there are usually more independently built Lego displays by locals (not Lego sets for sale). But this location doesn't really seem to showcase that kind of stuff. DEFINITELY get in soon if you're a Star Wars fan (which I am), because they have the HUGE Millennium Falcon built in the middle of the store. It's the biggest Lego set they've ever made! read more

So I went up in here and got him some small Star Wars legos to start off with. (Skip to next paragraph if you dont like nerd talk) I felt right at home with the staff there talking about nerdy Lego talk from when I was a kid and when they were a kid and comparing stories from back on the day etc. We especially took time to talk about the CP3O Lego set, Ewok Village etc. Trust me, I thought about selling my body for a few days to buy it. Not only you can buy old school and new Lego's but you can also can purchase non Lego sets to build up your collection. This place is perfect to take your kids, nephews to look and bond as well as dream about your next Lego project together. What other store brings a grown man such fond memories of his childhood and make him spend a good chunk of his mortgage money? Oh wait..the Lego Store! As a child who grew up having to buy legos from traditional retailers and having to custom order pieces to finish his latest masterpiece, I was in pure bliss to find that the Lego company had finally built a retail chain that I could go to for those small little pieces I need and the latest Lego designs! The Bellevue store is perfectly sized and features an impressive selection of their collection. I had my eye on a Boeing 787 piece which they no longer carried. The staff custom ordered one for me and had it sent to my house (and with no shipping charges!). Great service, great collection of legos...what else could one want! Oh..and on a complete aside, I only have two lego things in my house...the rest is all in storage...I've grown up! (a little)...:-) read more

My only complaint is that there are not MORE Lego Stores! I am currently spending more time on the Eastern part of the state, so I do not get to come here very often. My favorite thing about this store is how they have the Pick-a-Brick wall and you can select specific bricks. As a soon-to-be architect, I like using Legos exclusively for building design experiments, they typically have a good variety of bricks. If there was some way to see which bricks were currently available on the wall, that would be pure magic! read more

Pretty damn cool place- makes ME want to build Legos. I was drooling over the $300 Taj Mahal replica I've seen in Lego mags. That will be my bday or xmas present eventually. We went on a Saturday in January and it was a zoo there- it felt like Christmas all over again. But I think many kids were using their xmas money or gift cards that particular day we chose to go in. My son wanted to fill up a huge cup of Lego pieces for $15 to build a car. It just AMAZES me to no end how imaginative these kids are. They know what they need to build something and they build it. Or when they are following instructions in a kit, that is the only time they follow instructions and can focus. Odd.....It takes a good hour at the store to be thorough when picking pieces, we realized. Even though I HATE Bellevue, the staff was friendly and helpful. I just wish (and had imagined) the was bigger. It definately needs to be bigger- with more Lego stuff. Not a lot of room to move around with all of the displays.They had no Lego Batman which my son was looking for also. It's a fun place, and tempting. They need one in Seattle, or at least Lynnwood. This place turns my husband into a 5 year old child. He practically yanks me into the store and looks at every single Lego set while I wait patiently (okay, so maybe I enjoy it as well) They have quite a few lego sets that you can't just find at Target/Toys 'r' Us and they have a whole back wall filled with every shade and color of legos so you can mix and match. They also had all the little lego body parts and accessories so you can customize your own lego person. I loved LEGO growing up. We had hundreds of dollars worth of the stuff, and played with it, a LOT. In fact, my siblings and I STILL play with it when we go back to my dad's house even though we are all over 40 (how did that happen??) So I always approach this store with the excitement of a 7-year old, albeit as one with actual money and all... but I end up feeling disappointed. The days of violence-free, gender neutral LEGO are over. Now there's a pink ghetto in a small corner, a few bins of various (gorgeous) pastels in the loose bricks, and enough war toys to make a pacifist mom feel deeply uneasy. The Architecture sets are gorgeous, but are you allowed to build anything else than what's shown on the box? I remember getting boxes that had vague depictions of what you could build instead of rigidly determined to-the-brick instructions. I find it hard to spend ANY money here. The prices are outrageously high (it's MUCH cheaper on Amazon, even with the Prime program's slight shipping premium), the place is a mob scene most of the times we end up there (Friday nights, for whatever reason), and I just have a hard time supporting the perversion of what pure goodness LEGO used to be. P.S. LEGO Friends ain't gonna cut it. Stop pandering to girls! Just give us sets with lots of colors of bricks and some females in the normal LEGO-person size. Don't insist that LEGO City sets be bustling with cops. Chill out. Girls will like LEGO better and will ask their moms to buy more of it. Simple. P.P.S. LEGO trains are gorgeous but I wish they would settle on a standard size... like maybe "O" gauge. Some of us would like to mix and match our electric trains, and while I see it as unreasonable to expect LEGO to use standard track electrification methods, at least make the stuff the same scale so that hand-built non-LEGO decorative items, town buildings, and people look right. read more

How cool is a store that sells nothing but Lego's? Bellevue Square Mall has just such a store and what they have there is mesmerizing for a "model" hobbyist and an inspiration for someone who might get back into the hobby for stress relief, something to do, or just for fun. Pro's Clean, Clean, Clean store Very well stocked Items were displayed neatly and the store was actually fun and bright Con's Staff not too friendly Prices were a little high, but Lego's are usually high Summary- I have loved Lego's since I was a child, just like ever other kid. I am also a Sci-Fi fan and I really enjoyed looking at the Star Wars ships that were already assembled and on display. It was the price on the box that I didn't like looking at. The other thing that I really liked about this particular store was the wall of Lego's behind the cash register. If you lost a piece, this is the wall where you will locate that missing piece. There were also stations where your child could make things on a computer and the associates will help your child locate the pieces on the wall ad assemble them in containers so that the child can rebuild that same item when they get home. There was also a station of Lego people. It seems almost morbid, but there were heads in one area, hair in another, bodies in another, legs in another, feet in another and accessories in a few other locations within the station. I was greeted when I came in and greeted when I left, but that was about it. I was not asked if I needed any help, was looking for anything in particular which kind of left me feeling like I had no right, as an adult to be there. Recommended, just to pop your head in is nice, I got some great pictures of the neat little kits they had put together. I like this place because it reminds me of my childhood and I can buy presents for my cousins and other kids in the family. It has a place where you can get a cup and pick out the pieces you want, like bulk food. You can also get key chians and other things you cannot get in stores. The only thing that bugs me it it costs 2$ more on average than going to target or Fred Meyers for the same thing. But, it does get the sets before anyone else. My cousins like the bionicles that come out every so often so I like to surprise them for birthdays etc. and I like to know that they will have the gift I want in stock. It can be a bit wild at times, so if you are going to shop here, you need a bit of patience. The store itself is nicely organized and has plenty of room to move about (around the mob of children). There are plenty of hard to find items in stock which is great but the current sets are sometimes priced a bit more than at other stores; you will only notice this fact if you shop around. I'm an adult who acts and plays like a child. Naturally I think the Lego store is awesome and I would spend all my money there if I could. Lego, located in Bellevue Square, is a fun place to go for gifts, if you want to kill some time, or if you're like me and just like Lego. Originally I went to purchase a gift for a nephew who was turning 8. Right now the biggest toy themes are Superheros, StarWars, and Minecraft. It was so hard to shop for my nephew when I wanted to spend the $600 and get the Death Star and the Batmobile. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to go back and get them without my GF finding out I spent that much. Lego is a very fun place to be. Staff is very friendly, and seems to enjoy their job. I love legos and being in a store full of them is great. Great that they have a lot of the harder to find sets like collector edition of Star Wars and Technic kits. I would give it 5 stars, but I feel the staff often don't know much about Legos, and, I would expect a better system to let you buy individual pieces that they don't keep in stock (most their stock of indivudal pieces are common pieces only). read more
