I have mixed feelings about the style and fit of Uniqlo, at least for me, but it's still a great place for basics at a good price. The Bellevue location is well-stocked and I find the selection quite good. The main negative though is that the wait for a fitting room can be a bit long, but paying is snap with the self-service kiosk where you literally dump the clothes into a bin. Also, one really FANTASTIC benefit is that simple alterations like hems for pants can take as little as 20 min! It took longer to walk to Woods coffee, order a drink and come back. Obviously, it won't be 20 min on a super busy day, but still it is super fast compared to Nordies or other stores. Plus it's free! Can't be beat on that. read more

I have been waiting for the CLAMP shirts since I have heard about them, and they're finally here! The shirts are located at the back in the left side. They're not cheap like the other clothing here. There's a very interesting self-checkout. You put your orders in the checkout box instead of scanning a barcode, and it will list out what you have. Must have some kind of camera. read more

I bought clothes online and had a picked up in the store. One thing to compliment their store is their inventory management system. It definitely knows when different sizes are available, it even manages to search items when the clothes are labeled wrong. Overall the service is also good, and will definitely recommend. Visited the Uniqlo in Bellevue Square Mall and was impressed by how spacious and well-stocked it was with a wide variety of options. However, during our visit, several employees were busy readjusting wall décor and large photo frames, which made parts of the store feel a bit chaotic. As a dad with kids running around, I was a little uneasy seeing certain aisles partially blocked off with no clear signage or safety barriers. I'm someone who notices those things, and it took away from the shopping experience. It also felt like there weren't many employees readily available to assist customers on the floor. I've shopped at Uniqlo quite a few times by now. I always end up looking more than buying. Even though I'm Asian myself of average Asian build and Asian height, I always find the clothing (tops) to be just a tad narrow and just a tad long. Also, though I understand clothing are cut differently from style to style, you would think a certain sub-category is at least consistent. For example, their recent highly popular line is the UT collaboration T-shirts with different subjects, art, etc. I bought a Hello Kitty size XS that surprisingly fitted me very well, width and length. Then I bought one from the latest Boston Museum collaboration size XS without trying it on. Mistake! It was once again, too long and too narrow. Doh! Lesson learned: Never buy without trying. When ordering online, order at least two sizes of the same item. Need to get up to $75 for free shipping anyway! read more

This is a review for employee: Ben O. I was on my annual mission of creating family pictures for Christmas and stopped by Uniqlo to see what they had for men. I was thinking of getting a plaid shirt for my husband and found a large table display of 10 different color ways of plaid shirts. I chose the red plaid shirt and promptly paid for it. When I got home, I realized that the shirt would clash with my daughter's outfit so I went back to the store a few days later to exchange the shirt. I picked an alternative shirt in large and went to the counter. Ben O served me and he informed me that there was a online coupon available for the shirt I picked up. So he helped me download the app and patiently went through the instructions with me. He exchanged the shirts for me, saving me $10 for the online coupon and an additional $3 from another app coupon! Who doesn't love coupons / saving money? Best of all, it's the staff member helping! He didn't have to. Ben could of just hurried me through the exchange but instead he assisted me without being prompted. I am very impressed! I wish all associates were as helpful and diligent as Ben O. Well done, Ben! The worst customer service ever. I was returning some items I purchased on line. in addition to that, I bought 3 final sale bras and ordered 1-2 sizes bigger (38-40) because of the reviews I read. I brought them in saying I know they're final sale but the product is unwearable, too small and way too tight. I normally wear 34-36 bust size in literally any other underwear brand. I didn't even want my money back. I just wanted an even exchange and all they would do is spit their effing policy back at me. The girl at the counter AND the manager. Useless and the least helpful people ever. Never shopping here again. Also - their suggestion - buy the items in store at full price. Go home. Try it on. If it doesn't fit, bring it back. So I need to make two 30 minute trips to find one bra that fits? Why don't you try making clothes that actually are cut according to your size chart? read more

I love Uniqlo, a Japanese brand known for its quality and reasonable price. However, I don't shop them online, as their exchange & return policy sucks. Or rather, nonexistence... No exchange if it doesn't fit, only return for $5 processing fee. What kind of clothing company does that? Which is why we look up the store wherever we travel, and am glad that they have stores in Seattle too. As their thermo clothing is so awesome, and they are from Japan, I guess it makes sense that they have shops in Pacific NW. This space is next to Ding Tai Fung, which is funny as in Hong Kong, DTF and Uniqlo are just upstairs and downstairs in the Miramar shopping mall as well. Anyway, really happy with this store, as I found the tee I wanted online but couldn't get... or rather, got it, tried it on, returned it requesting an exchange, never to see it again... So happy to find it here in my size! Keep an eye out for their sale items. Every week they put something on sale at a significant discount. I won't call them cheap, but good value when you consider the quality of the material and workmanship. Typical Japanese, simple style, elegant and durable. Better than Gap, H&M and the like. This company is so frustrating! Their online and store systems are not well-connected, which means that both inventory and store specials/discounts are not available online most specials online aren't available in the store. I learned this the hard way, since their website doesn't mention this anywhere on their site - even in the FAQ section. I usually try to purchase items I'm familiar with online since it's tough for me to find time to get to the store. I do really like their HeatTech brand of clothing - which is why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 - so I stock up on them when they go on sale. It just so happened that they were on sale online but were out of inventory so I couldn't purchase any. So I went into the store where they had inventory, but the exact same item wasn't on sale. I figured it was a mistake so I waited in line to purchase the item (it seems like there's always a line here) and the sales associate refused to honor their online price, indicating that they "use different warehouses." I still don't understand this since they manufacture all of their clothes, so which warehouse it's delivered to should have no impact on the customer experience! I also tried using their app, which is as much of a dumpster fire as their pricing strategy. The login experience is broken, their inventory is horrible, and the check-out experience really sucks. read more

I always check out this store whenever I'm in Bellevue Square. The prices are already reasonable, but can be such a steal in the clearance sections! I have bought discounted clothes for under $5. Just double-check that the clothes aren't already damaged. But if you are looking for unique or fashionable clothing, I'd say this isn't the place. The clothes sold are trendy, but purposed to be simple and comfortable, often of a single color or a pattern. Shirts can have custom designs printed on them though. I was thrilled when I stumbled across their Pokémon themed UTGP (Uniqlo T-Shirt Grand Prix)! As for sizing, I find myself fitting in a range of sizes depending on the outfit or style. So it's best to try out the clothes in store. And the only minor nuisance that I've encountered is missing price tags or a different price gets ringed up upon purchasing. read more

Earlier this month, Uniqlo opened its first Seattle area location at Bellevue Square. I have known about this Japanese clothing store chain for years having visited numerous stores in Asia and have previously written Yelp reviews for locations in Fukuoka, Hong Kong and most recently Kuala Lumpur. The Bellevue Square store is located on the second floor in the former JCPenney wing of the mall. It is located across the way from the new Zara store. The store layout is a bit confusing. There are some sections in the store where it isn't clear whether the clothing is for men or women as it wasn't clearly marked enough. Probably will take another visit or two to figure out the layout completely. The current selection at this store is full of cold weather apparel. Thus, there are a lot of jackets, sweaters and vests in store now. The good thing about their jackets are that they aren't too bulky and are designed in a functional way to keep you warm but fashionable. My favorite Uniqlo product lines are the AIRism and Heattech undergarments. I have been buying a couple undershirts yearly when I get a chance to visit a Uniqlo when I travel to Asia. These products are built with functionality top of mind. AIRism is good for hot weather as it is moisture wicking and keeps you cool as the fabric is very breathable. Heattech is great for cooler weather as it is also moisture wicking but keeps you warm instead. Thus allowing you to wear less layers since this shirt helps to retain more body heat. Since it is cool out now, the store had a good selection of Heattech products with several products on sale. I don't believe they allow you to try on these products for fit, but they do have sample shirts on display to compare sizing before you buy. Comparing the Uniqlo stores that I have visited in Asia, I thought this store was okay. This store isn't as big in size and selection than most of those stores, but it did have the Heattech products that I came to the store for. Still, I am glad that Uniqlo has opened in Bellevue. The clothing that they sell here is of good quality at reasonable prices. But it is their functional clothing that makes me a super fan of this chain. read more

Finally, Uniqlo is opened in Seattle. I always like this brand because of the simple design and quality. There are three days specials for door busters but you have to be line up early before they open. Be prepared to get into the crowd like Black Friday. I went there on the first day and the third day. On the first day, I was able to get a free piece of heat tech freebie and a free tote on the third day. I was indecisive about two different tights, one was heat tech and the other one was regular. I only found the display of one type but not the other one. It was confusing. The staff was very friendly and helpful to solve my problem. There was a line at cashier and fitting room so I didn't bother to try on. It took me thirty-five minutes to check out. When I checked out my items, I was told the packaged items all final sale. Overall, it was good experience except the crowd. I will definitely be back. read more

The worst customer service and I'm so disappointed. I went in to return one blue skirt, and exchange another brown skirt for a size. The staff first made a mistake confusing the prices of the skirts. I pointed this out and we continued with the process. Unfortunately the staff forgot that I was trying to return an item and exchanged both skirts. Once again I pointed this out going back to step one. At this point I have swiped my card 2-3 times. Finally we got to the point where I was able to get a refund for the skirt I wanted and got the other one exchanged. Unfortunately after this was done I noticed on my bank account that I was refunded and then charged for the skirt again so I got charged for the blue skirt in the end. On top of everything that went wrong, I went home realizing that she did not remove the security tab on the brown skirt so I have to go back to the store to get another refund for the skirt that should've already been refunded and get the tag off the brown skirt or just refund it and forget about this place. A couple of times she asked the associate to help with her pos screen for some permission but even that associate did not try to help her out when she clearly needed help. (There were only two cashiers at the time with people in line). read more

This place is pretty cool. Clothing are pretty cheap but pretty good quality. I did find the woman clothings sizing is based on Asian size. Their cloths are pretty small. They style are interesting. It doesn't look nice on the rack but when you put it on, its actually not bad. So went and bought a vest which to me when I first saw it was ugly but when you wear it, it looks good on me. Decor of the store is very bright. Very Asian. reminds me of asian supermarket in a way. I was able to tell clearly the color difference between black sweater and a blue sweater in the store. When I bought it home, they both looked black. Oh well. Staff there are very friendly. Definitely coming back read more

Traveled to Seattle for our anniversary, Uniqlo was a must go! I found one hoodie smells like someone had worn it before, had a receipt in its pocket. And that was the only one hanging there, perfect size for me. The shop helper couldn't find new one from the inventory, I couldn't even order it online, then she told me maybe I can go ask the manager and buy it without paying the full price. I have that experience before with the other Uniqlo(the cashier wasn't Chinese ). So I took her advice (The shop helper wasn't Asian, she looks like she just trying to help me out and put herself in my shoes) and I went to the cashier and also the cashier went to the manager, the manager and the cashier are Asian (mumbled things with Chinese. I strongly believe they're Chinese, I am Chinese too don't get me wrong) then they in and out the office room and changed the price tag from $45 to $29 on that hoodie. Then......they told me they're not able to sell it to me because they're so afraid I will get allergic from it, and gave me a typical NOPE BYE smile. Despite the fact that I already shopped over $1000 over there. I looked at them took away the hoodie and putting it back with a hanger (w/ the new price tag on) Then I realized this is the Asian game we played back in China, they're so afraid customers take advantage from their products, they can't just satisfy the customers with the way they want, they consider it will spoiled the customers, so they came up a good reason to turn you down, even though they are going to sell that product with a lower price in the future, but just can't be YOU. That's disgusting! And that's such a nightmare feelings back in China, people are against with each other, playing psychology chess with each other. Passive aggressive with each other. I can't believe they carried that to a different Country and only did this to their own people. ppl are smart and cold back in China, If I wasn't with an Asian face to ask that question, they would be so happy to do that for me or just tell me NO. I would be ok and accept the answers and happily walk away. This is so racist towards their own ppl! This experience is really making so sick of the whole city, it wasn't the only bad experience in there happened with My Chinese fellow. I just want to say, any Chinese who'd have read this review, be nice be true and be kind to Chinese ppl like how you treated ppl from the other races. And it's ok to just politely say No. read more

I had never heard of Uniqlo before, nor have I ever been to Japan. But if I had, I'd imagine clothing stores in Japan to be a lot like this store. It has a very contemporary, clean, open and stark-like organizational vibe to the store, with mens', womens' and kids' sections clearly separated and tons of basics in clothing wear for each. Some things about this store are impressive. I like the openness and clean lines to the store aesthetics. I like the selection of clothing (if you are looking for basics. We're talking basic t-shirts, sweaters, pants, coats and jackets, in tons of colors. There's a ton of silky-like long-john/thermal underwear which I love (since I'm always cold!). There's a wall of different color socks, under garments, winter accessories, pj/lounge pants and the like), and the prices are very reasonable. The reviewer who said this store was a cross between the Gap and American Apparel hit the nail on the head. This store would be its Japanese hybrid. Impressive that they offer free hemming services. Nice! The less-than-impressive features: the few times I've wandered this store, looking for items, there were no salespeople on the floor at all to assist. The other day I had a hard time finding the dressing rooms (note: they're to the right of the cashiers. I literally walked the floor for 5-7 minutes, looking for them or an employee to ask. The cashiers were all busy and nobody was on the floor). I wasn't thrilled with the sizing of clothes, too, to be honest. I usually wear a small. Here, even the mediums didn't fit me. In the greater scheme of things, this place is exactly what I expect from an Asian themed clothing store. It's all reasonable stuff. Knowing Japanese quality, more over again quality, it should last long enough. The style is pure and simple, a little JCrew mixed with slight hints modern themes. This is shown by the assortment of clean cut clothing, simple lines and straight stitching. I would call it the basics of clothing. Of course, this identity is betrayed by the printed culturally aware prints with Star Wars all over. In the end and middle of the aisles, they have examples of the styles hung, so you don't have to mess up the shelves to determine how it actually looks. Sizes... They run slightly slim, but for the in shape American, it should be fine. If you are athletic or muscular, you will want one size bigger, per the usual at most places. If there is a sale going on, which happens on a regular basis, sizes may run out fast, so making an effect to go early is required. The decor is bright, with touches of trendy small Tokyo shop written over, the scrolling LED is a fun touch. The dressing rooms are just to the right of the cashiers. Oh yeah, the cashiers are behind he kids stuff, because that isn't obvious where to pay. The staff are generally happy, cheerful, and happy to assist. When I was there, they were lacking floor staff, in a general sense, but the few who were available were helpful. Excellent quality at low prices. I use the Heat tech often. As a person who runs warmer then others, I struggle to find warm clothes that doesn't make me sweat within minutes. Heat tech is super THIN, LIGHT, yet warms me perfectly. Relaxed fit also. This past weekend I golfed in 38 degree weather. All I had on was heat tech long johns, heat tech v neck, a regular polo shirt and sweater vest. I actually perspired a few times! Big thumbs up to Heat Tech!!! read more

Given that Uniqlo just opened up in Bellevue, we were excited to check it out. The store itself isn't as big as, say, the ones in NYC or Japan that I had been to, but I like that their concept of offering simple, casual, comfortable and affordable clothing still holds true! If rainbows had clothing stores, Uniqlo would definitely be one of them. Their clothing basically consists of 'everyday' wear and accessories in a wide spectrum of colors (mainly solid colors, not patterned). TIP: Sizes here do run smaller. The prices are reasonable, especially if there is a sale. I bought a fleece jacket that is normally $29.90 for the sale price of $9.90 which is a great deal! It's so cozy and well-fitted. Specifically with the outerwear, I would consider it fairly thin. For example, the down jackets and fleece are light and airy, so they're more like daily jackets rather than something you'd wear to keep warm in frigid weather. On the bright side, they're not bulky! I came here on a weekend, and it seemed to be somewhat short-staffed. The checkout line was piling up but only two cashiers were available. Walking around the store, I don't even remember seeing many employees around. Overall, a nice store to grab some necessities and a great addition to Bellevue Square. read more

I've been obsessed with Uniqlo for years now and basically did some awkward equivalent of a happy dance when I found out one was opening in the old JC Penny space. The store is a nice size, with a heavy selection of cold winter gear due to the season. I'm not ever gonna be mad about some lightweight down, or heattech. Uniqlo makes awesome quality basics at a really great price point. Their $50 jeans are some of my favorites and they also do designer collaborations. The store is spacious, but my only complaint is the small number of fitting rooms available. With that much square footage and merchandise, it wouldn't have killed them to have at least two sets of fitting rooms. read more

I've been to Uniqlo once, in Santa Monica, CA and it was a great store to get basic colored clothing. The Bellevue store is smaller, but it was bigger than I actually anticipated! I give this store a 3 since, the experience was just okay. I went a week after their opening and the line for the dressing room was pretty long. They only had about 8-ish dressing rooms and it took me about 10 minutes to get to a room. Prepare for the wait in line and take note on your sizes, so you don't have to go back to the dressing room. ;) When I checked out, the guy didn't bat an eye to me. Just hurriedly checked me out so he could get to the next person. Which is fine, because I know it was busy, but a "Hello, how are you." or even a smile would've gone a long way. read more

the shop in Bellevue square is pretty impressive. some of the clothes are affordable, some are quite expensive. The clothes are of high quality as well. There are not very many sales people on the floor area to assist you. While it was extremely warm inside... we wanted to get out asap. But checking out, it is so sad to know tat they don't even have Christmas boxes. I asked the lady if they had boxes they can give me since I saw the customer beside me got a couple of boxes . she literally told me try didn't have c any anymore. omg!
