I had a very disappointing experience at Aritzia Bellevue Square…read more I visited the store at the end of January to shop for my birthday and purchased a few items, including the Heritage Merino Wool 1/4 Zip Sweater. After just one wash, the sweater shrank significantly in the torso, which was surprising given the price and quality I expected. When I returned to the store on May 1 to ask about possible options, the first associate I spoke with was kind and patient. She explained that the sweater is made of delicate wool and that shrinkage can happen if it goes through the washer and dryer. As a new Aritzia customer, I shared that I wasn't aware of the care requirements and felt disappointed. She offered to call the manager, which I appreciated--but unfortunately, that's where the experience went downhill. The manager responded in a dismissive and rude tone, saying "it's all on the tag" and that nothing could be done. When my husband mentioned that the tag is small and not always easy to read for first-time customers, she smirked, flipped the sweater inside out, and said, "I can read it." This felt condescending and unnecessary. At no point was there any effort to show empathy or understanding. I left the store feeling offended and upset, which is not something anyone expects after making a purchase from a premium brand.

I emailed Janie & Jack customer service after a zipper ripped off of a zip-up sweater that we…read morepurchased for my son last year. Let me be clear, he has worn this clothing item ONE TIME since it was purchased last December (2024). We washed it and followed all instructions (gentle cycle, tumble dry low) and the zipper still ripped off and is so damaged that it's not possible to repair it. The sweater is no longer usable which is why I reached out to them via email. I was asked for my customer information such as name, order number, etc. I provided this info. I was then told that since the clothing item was purchased "quite some time ago" that there was nothing they could do. I spent $60 on this half zip only for it to break after one wear/wash. I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of support from their customer service department but also in the obvious poor quality/craftsmanship of their clothing. It's cheaply made while being outrageously priced. Apparently 10 months is "quite some time" according to them and customers shouldn't wash items from them since they just fall apart so easily. Ridiculous.

I feel like Janie and Jack has gone down hill. I placed an order for a family vacation, which I…read morespent a lot of money on, and never received my package. The customer service was awful only offering free shipping on my next order, and could not reship my order. I felt like I was not heard or offered anything as a valued customer. Sadly, I would rather spend my money on a company I am valued and answers are being handled correctly. I will not be shopping there any longer.
