A visit to this retail store after a year or so. And seems like the clothing styles and fashion sense hasn't changed. Like, mainly see grunge styles, more NBA and 90's Rock music logos on the t-shirts and sweatshirts. Even the hoodies have the brands and graphic design from the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. Seems like the style has reverted back to my olden days, the age of tie-die shirts, heavy metal band graphics on shirts - Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Nirvana, etc. The stores seem to be bringing back bell bottoms, ripped denim jeans, leather jackets, punk rock hats and accessories. It's not just this store, but others as well. No more originality for fashion in the 21st Century. Wonder why that is nowadays. Nostalgia all over again... read more

I used to always order online but I find it best to come in store and actually try on the clothes in person to make sure I buy the right size. The staff are nice and always helpful if I have questions. I do feel bad for the employees when the customers just leave clothes in heaps after trying them on or leaving their makeup all over the clothes' collars.. Admittedly have shopped at both Bellevue and Lynnwood locations, but this review is for Bellevue. Store is bright and always clean. They offer something for everyone, and the women's, children's, and men's stores all border eachother to make it easy. The stores are very well staffed, so you can get help when needed, quickly. I just found out that my daughter is going to have a bay girl in the fall. I have a group of friends who said to check out Zara for kids. I did that, and ordered a set of three leggings and another set of three tops to go with the leggings. I am so glad I "only ordered" those two sets. The package arrived today, torn open, and nothing in the envelope. I contacted Zara, and they typed back to me: "If you think it was stolen, contact the police." I told them we have security cameras that prove the package was delivered and no other deliveries were made today. I have a large brown package with Zara printed on it, clearly torn open, with nothing in it. The delivery company they use is Ontrc. Today I went to Bellevue Sq store to exchange a pair of shoes purchased for my granddaughter BD, however, with one time wear the lace broke and are not usable. I took the shoes to show the defect and exchange. I bought several items and not "inexpensive". The gal (claimed to be the store manager) refused the exchange, claiming they had to be new and unused (how can that be when used the cord of the shoe broke). I noticed a nice leather men's coat that is displayed and noticed that they don't have same color in the store. I asked one of the associates who checked out their stock and told me that there's nothing in stock in the back and the display can't be accessed. Hard to know if she works on the back end, but she absolutely do not possess any sales skills as I have to ask her if there are other stores that is stocked. She told me that I could check that myself online and I could barely understand her since her accent is so strong. So she couldn't find it on her device and I had to point out the selection which he said there's a couple in the Seattle location. I had to ask her the cost, and the style number which to me shouldn't be asked at all and in her own volition maybe share those tidbits to a customer. Her voice is so loud as if we were having an argument. I know Zara is a store that seems detached and unattended by associates but could they hire someone who can engage and actually speak english somewhat fluently. Never met one friendly employee here. They all seem miserable and like they hate getting asked questions from customers. Not looking for anything special, just don't treat me like dirt and make me feel like I'm a nuisance. I would understand for rude customers but in 20 minutes (Womens/Kids side) here I interacted with several employees who started off rude when the customer was asking a basic question. Wow I normally do not like leaving bad reviews, but this Zara has the most atrocious customer service. I have never seen a line reach from one side of the cash register all the way to the end of the store and more and it was not budging for 10min. There were probably a good 50 people in line with just 2-3 registers open. I understand they're understaffed, but there were multiple employees restocking on the floor. Fitting rooms are closed! Due to staff - I see ppl floating! Returns are 30 days and most of their sizing is off and on! I use to enjoy coming here but its changed and do not think its bc of Covid! I think its management! No fitting rooms, means be more lacks with returning an item. Especially when you know the stock. YOU know is on the shelf but she doesn't have a receipt! The lines are ridiculous!!! One line in the entire store with only 2 associates checking people out on a a Friday night?!? Unacceptable. It's not like the prices are a steal, so it's worth the wait. They really need to figure out how to get their line moving. I've seen a handful of people in front of me put their purchases on a rack because they were tired of waiting. One staff member in the fitting room with a strong accent demanded that we put the clothes we didn't want back on hangers, but she didn't clearly say this before we walked in--no signs, no clear instructions! She just mumbled something about hangers back, so I said okay. Then, when I walked out with just one pant-skirt off hanger and with others on, and bring back all the hangers like I thought what she was saying, then she demanded that I walk back to the fitting room to hang it up! I kind of understood that it might be busy for her, so I said, "Oh, sorry, I didn't know you meant to put them back on hangers. I thought..." but she cut me off and rudely said, "BYE!" Are we living in a world without human connection or what? No customer service, no change rooms and on top of taking your money they steal your time too. You have to stand in line for 20 mins at least to exchange or return items. The workers attitudes here were genuinely shocking. all of the workers are Ukrainian, and i understand their language, and they were gossiping very loud the whole time, and when I asked someone nicely for help, she practically rolled her eyes. As I got out of the dressing room, I was in the middle of my question asking the lady if I can put clothes on the rack, and she LOOKS at me and WALKS OFF mid sentence. The whole group of people I was with came to me after we left with horrible experiences as well. The ONLY nice worker i met there was an American man. Giving this Zara 4 stars because I'm from the Bay Area and I love the self-checkout section at this location - it makes purchasing clothes so much quicker and easier. Zara is well-known for having very long lines, it's like that at essentially all of the stores I've been to especially on weekends. I've never understood why they don't have more people working at the registers when it's super busy, especially when they have both a kids and mens section where they can ring people up. I've been to this Zara many times and have never had an issue. There's a good selection of clothes here but the customer service could be a lot better, the staff is never really welcoming which is a bummer. read more

An unorganized mess and waste of time. Waited in line for about 20 mins for an online order pick up. When we finally got to the front of the line we were told online ordering pick ups were only done in the kid's section and to hang out around there and an employee will find us and take care of us. Went over to the kids section and there wasn't an employee to be found except at the cashiers, so we waited in line at kids for another 10 mins. Got to the front and the employee said you can hang around and someone will come find us. Uhh yeah we did that and no one was there! Cashier ended up grabbing our order. With online shopping and order pick up becoming more and more relevant, it blows my mind how unorganized a store can handle this. Great experience today. We were able to find clothes, and their fitting rooms were open! We used the self-check out and a customer didn't know how to remove the plastic tag from the clothes but an employee came and helped them with a nice attitude and patient.
