Something is not right in the kitchen here. We've probably eaten here 20 times in the last three years, off & on. We keep giving them another chance, but I think we are done. I would say we send our food back 60% of the time. The potatoes are either hard or lightly warm. The sausage and gravy, we've had to send it back every time I think, because the gravy is not even warm. Definitely not hot. You might get warm gravy but the sausage is cold, yes COLD, so I know they use the "already cooked sausage" and just add it to the pan gravy that is barely warm. The only thing good are the eggs, Because they HAVE to cook those while you're waiting. We've even been the first few people there early in the morning and when the potatoes come out they are hard so that tells me they are probably heating up the potatoes from the day before.. I don't think I'm being too picky I just expect my food to be hot when it comes to the table. But there's always something either cold or heated up on my plate. The last time we were there which was last week, the table across from us sent two of their 3 plates back because some thing on it was "not hot" also. Used to be a great place for weekend breakfast, but now it seems to be run by teenagers who are more interested in each other than waiting tables. This isn't the first time I have experienced this. I USED TO BE a fairly regular customer and would go during my lunch break for their chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup. Their menu is a little pricy running me close to $13 for the two items and a water, plus 18-20% tip. Service is ok. I went with my family a few months back on a Sunday morning with an UNFORGETTABLY BAD EXPERIENCE. Getting hot soup spilled all over me is one thing. NOT GETTING OFFERED TO COVER MY DRY CLEANING or a thoughtful gesture of discounting the bill for our meal is disrespectful towards a customer. I didn't make a scene in the restaurant because I prefer to treat others the way I would want to be treated. In writing this, yes I am angry about the incident and will never return. If the roles were reversed, I would do the right thing and take care of my customer by at least offering to pay for their dry cleaning. The mess I wore caused the seat in my car to obtain an odor. Imagine if I took the same stance as the woman who was burned by hot coffee from McDonald's and took legal action. People tend to overlook an incident and will settle for a small offering or gesture. This is the option that would have been of benefit to both parties. This is the first time my husband and I come here. When we walked in, the hostess greetes us right away. Had to wait about 5 mins for our table. Our server was nice and pleasant. I ordered 'pardon Me Madam' and my husband got 'pork belly ben'. Both of our meal were delicious. No complaints at all. Price is reasonable. My husband and I went to J Christopher's for breakfast. The service by Bret was excellent! He gives you just the right amount of attention. He is not one to ghost or hover. The coffee is amazing. I asked about the brand and was told it was a house blend by the owner.....um can I get some tailor made Keuring pods?!! We come here often but today it seems like the cooks could not get the order correct. Well first of all the water came to the table with "floaties" in it..ugh, so we requested another. My wife ordered the San Bernardino no pico, no cheese and added mushrooms. The order came back with cheese on it and throughout. (understand that my wife has dietary issues and can't eat cheese) so we sent that back 10 minutes later it comes back without cheese and this time no avocado and fried really hard. Everyone knows that I LOVE a J. Christopher's experience. I think I have been to just about every one of them I have been near. I only had one bad experience. My favorite, and usual, entree (for lunch or breakfast) is their house version of Eggs' Benedict called, Eggs' Christopher. This twist on the traditional dish has sliced turkey in lieu of Canadian bacon and comes with fruit, grits, or potatoes. It's delightful and the staff are always a joy. read more

Ordered 2 clubs one with chips & the other with fruit..only received the fruit & we got potatoes with the other which my husband can't eat. I want to like this place more because it's so convenient for us. We've always had good customer service and the ambiance is light and friendly. For me the issue is that the food is nothing to write home about. I tried an omelette, I believe it was a Southwest omelette. It was seriously lacking ingredients and flavor. I was surprised because the ingredients that should have been present should have been quite flavorful. I added salsa to stomach it but wasn't impressed. Because it's close by we've taken family when they're in town and now I just stick to French toast. I honestly agree with other reviews though when they say that the price doesn't match the bland, basic food. This was the last chance I gave J Christopher's, and they most certainly will NOT be getting another one. In the past, multiple times I've had hair in my food, dirty mugs and silverware, and burnt English muffins. I encountered the same fate today. The spoon in the silverware was disgusting, and the muffin was burnt. I ordered what I thought was supposed to be "cheese grits," but I received bland grits with maybe a teaspoon of cheese on top--very disappointing for someone who adores cheese.
