I USED TO BE a fairly regular customer and would go during my lunch break for their chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup. Their menu is a little pricy running me close to $13 for the two items and a water, plus 18-20% tip. Service is ok. I went with my family a few months back on a Sunday morning with an UNFORGETTABLY BAD EXPERIENCE. Getting hot soup spilled all over me is one thing. NOT GETTING OFFERED TO COVER MY DRY CLEANING or a thoughtful gesture of discounting the bill for our meal is disrespectful towards a customer. I didn't make a scene in the restaurant because I prefer to treat others the way I would want to be treated. In writing this, yes I am angry about the incident and will never return. If the roles were reversed, I would do the right thing and take care of my customer by at least offering to pay for their dry cleaning. The mess I wore caused the seat in my car to obtain an odor. Imagine if I took the same stance as the woman who was burned by hot coffee from McDonald's and took legal action. People tend to overlook an incident and will settle for a small offering or gesture. This is the option that would have been of benefit to both parties. Instead, the employees who represent that chain decided to opt for treating me as if this was ok, forcing my hand in detailing this review of their restaurant. Warning: eat at J Christoper's at your own risk!!! read more

This is the first time my husband and I come here. When we walked in, the hostess greetes us right away. Had to wait about 5 mins for our table. Our server was nice and pleasant. I ordered 'pardon Me Madam' and my husband got 'pork belly ben'. Both of our meal were delicious. No complaints at all. Price is reasonable. We would go to this place again when we want some good breakfast food. read more

This a real solid place for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly. The eggs were cooked as ordered and everything was served hot and on time. The grits are creamy and the gravy is pretty good "mix" . Lots of choices are available. This is a needed breakfast spot where none other than fast food exists. The restaurant has a bright and airy feeling. Tables and floors are clean. This is a great choice for breakfast. read more

Me and my husband have come to this j. Christopher's a couple times, and we have always had a pleasant time! Food is always so yummy and always comes out fairly fast! Today was not one of those times, our server "Hope" was very uninviting and seemed to not really care for our needs. She did not approach us with a warm welcoming, or bring any of our food out. Hope never even checked up on us the whole time, or even acknowledge us after all our items came out, but walked past us multiple time while she was talking to other tables. I've worked as a server and I get not being able to be everywhere, but to not even once stop by? come on. I had to flag another server down for some water, I felt I talked to every staff member but her, and to top it all off she had another server drop off our check while she was standing right next to her. I really do think it could of been a overall better experience if we had better service. read more

Used to be a great place for weekend breakfast, but now it seems to be run by teenagers who are more interested in each other than waiting tables. This isn't the first time I have experienced this. Restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated and then promptly forgotten. Three waiters passed us to talk with other waiters, laugh, cut up but no one came to table. Two other couple came in, were seated and given coffee. After 15 minutes we got up to leave. The young man who seated us, wished us a good day...apparently forgetting he had just seated us! After I said sorry we waited long enough a cheerful little girl gave us a perky "Oh, we're sorry!" Unacceptable read more

Something is not right in the kitchen here. We've probably eaten here 20 times in the last three years, off & on. We keep giving them another chance, but I think we are done. I would say we send our food back 60% of the time. The potatoes are either hard or lightly warm. The sausage and gravy, we've had to send it back every time I think, because the gravy is not even warm. Definitely not hot. You might get warm gravy but the sausage is cold, yes COLD, so I know they use the "already cooked sausage" and just add it to the pan gravy that is barely warm. The only thing good are the eggs, Because they HAVE to cook those while you're waiting. We've even been the first few people there early in the morning and when the potatoes come out they are hard so that tells me they are probably heating up the potatoes from the day before.. I don't think I'm being too picky I just expect my food to be hot when it comes to the table. But there's always something either cold or heated up on my plate. The last time we were there which was last week, the table across from us sent two of their 3 plates back because some thing on it was "not hot" also. This has been going on for the three years we've been going there. read more

- If you're in need of a brunch date, you won't regret going to J. Christopher's. I went to J. Christopher's for brunch with my sister the other day. I love the atmosphere. You will definitely get lost in your delicious food and conversation. I had the eggs Benedict with oven roasted potatoes. There's something about a running egg yolk that makes me go wildddd. Must try! read more

Garbage never again...horrible service no clue about anything and crap food...Literally disgusting Breakfast cinnamon roll was so stale couldn't even cut with a knife.. steak and eggs tasted like soap and air freshener...I never post reviews just look them up but this is just something I feel I need to save you from read more

We give it a C+. Food was so so. Breakfast potatoes were not worth eating. Coffee was burnt tasting. Service was just ok. Blueberry pancake was very good. Charging $2 for "pure" maple syrup seems silly and highlights the fact that the syrup you give with your meals is imitation. read more

The last two times I have been to J. Christopher's the service has been slow and the food was not great. The first time was a weekday morning and not all that busy but the kitchen was slow and when the food did arrive the potato's were chewy and luke warm as if having sat for a long time under a heat lamp. This past Easter Sunday we went for brunch and granted it was busy but we were there an hour in total and it took 45 minutes for food to arrive after we ordered and then 3 of the orders were not right. They said they were just very busy, but two other tables near us arrived after us and had been served and departed before our first food was delivered. It was my order which came with the wrong side and the waitress said she would be right back with the other 3 orders. Twenty minutes later the other 3 orders arrived, one of which had the wrong entree and one with a quesadilla that had an entire section with nothing in it. The manager came and apologized for the issues and offered a 50% discount on the ticket which was appreciated but not enough for me to ever go back. In my view, establishments that value customers and want them to return after an experience like we had, would comp the meal. read more

We come here often but today it seems like the cooks could not get the order correct. Well first of all the water came to the table with "floaties" in it..ugh, so we requested another. My wife ordered the San Bernardino no pico, no cheese and added mushrooms. The order came back with cheese on it and throughout. (understand that my wife has dietary issues and can't eat cheese) so we sent that back 10 minutes later it comes back without cheese and this time no avocado and fried really hard. Out of all the times we have been here this has to be the worst experience. I think my wife apologized more that the server did. Although we know it really wasn't the servers fault but atleast she could have apologized on behalf of the cooks. We won't give up on this J Christopher'syet I guess we'll blame it on the weather! read more

My husband and I went to J Christopher's for breakfast. The service by Bret was excellent! He gives you just the right amount of attention. He is not one to ghost or hover. The coffee is amazing. I asked about the brand and was told it was a house blend by the owner.....um can I get some tailor made Keuring pods?!! My husband had the Western omlette and I had the Tradtional with grits cheese eggs bacon and a biscuit. The food was very tasty. We will definitley go back for the amazing service, good food and great coffee. read more

Everyone knows that I LOVE a J. Christopher's experience. I think I have been to just about every one of them I have been near. I only had one bad experience. My favorite, and usual, entree (for lunch or breakfast) is their house version of Eggs' Benedict called, Eggs' Christopher. This twist on the traditional dish has sliced turkey in lieu of Canadian bacon and comes with fruit, grits, or potatoes. It's delightful and the staff are always a joy. read more

Don't waist your time. Maybe this was a mishap but my skillet was sparse and dry. Usually a skillet is pretty hefty. I could actually see the cast iron pan in several spots. The pancakes weren't that tasty. Like I said, this could've been this particular day. One day I'll try them again. read more

First time here, very disappointed. Coffee was not hot, ordered eggs Benedict with potatoes and a side of sausage , food was only warm. Some of the potatoes were hard. The sausage was very tasty. I mentioned it to the waitress. Won't be back read more

Very cute vibe. Nice set up. Plenty of art. That's pretty much all this place has to offer. As far as the food, we ordered a Strawberry Belgian Waffle, Steak and Eggs, Club House Burger. The waffle was $8.79!!!! One waffle with strawberries on top. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. The steak was rubbery and was not well cooked. The potatoes served with both the burger and steak were rubbery. None of the two entrees were well seasoned. The burger was a 5 out of 10. The food looks good but it doesn't taste good. Service was not amazing. We will NOT be returning. read more

Well, let me start by saying that the food tasted really good. Great variety on the breakfast menu. However, the price per portion is a bit ridiculous. The service was ok. Waitress checked on us right after she brought our food. And.... that's a wrap. No offers for refills, no can I get you some extra gravy to actually cover that biscuit....nothing. But she was nice, hence the reason for 3 stars, otherwise would have a 2. read more

Really gone downhill since they opened. Food was served lukewarm, place was empty at 10am on a weekday. Multiple dirty tables. I'd imagine this location will be closing eventually read more

Unfortunately, I need to give this 1 Star and when Austin takes your order and repeats it to you 3+ times it may still be wrong! Ordered 2 clubs one with chips & the other with fruit..only received the fruit & we got potatoes with the other which my husband can't eat. On the sandwich we asked for NO dijon and to please toast the bread with nothing on it (nor butter or whatever they use) and again that wasn't followed. Ordered my teen a burger - no cheese but add onions - white and pickle, not purple & he wanted potatoes which he got purple onions only & did receive potatoes. I think I'm done going here now until I dine in Or they need someoneelse that can take an order or put order together correctly. The sandwiches were not finished at all I ate half of mine but got sick because of the greasiness & dijon on it which I stressed this to the guy upon ordering - is have certain health issues where I can't tolerate certain things & get really sick. I started to call to complain on this day Fri 3/26 but it was a couple minutes after 2pm which they close at 2:00. I figured I would call then on Saturday morning but wasn't feeling too great the entire day & my husband was taking care of our kids, work etc. I'm extremely disappointed and I've worked in the restaurant industry at a local Italian restaurant in my hometown for almost 5yrs until moving and I don't know who is to blame here but regardless the orders should've been right atleast once out of the 4 chances I've given them, right? Beware of your order. #JChristophers #lunch #Dacula read more

Like others, I decided to give another try for Sunday breakfast to see if it had improved. Sadly it has not. Upon arrival, was told it would be a 20-25 minute wait for 2. Ok...but wait...upon looking around saw numerous booths and tables that were not cleaned off. Luckily, 2 spots at counter so opted for that. Waiter was good. Food was mediocre. Overall, same problems exist as on prior visits but I wanted to give it one more chance. This will be my last visit. read more

No so good. Had grits, very bland. I had to ask for more cheese to go in the grits and add salt & pepper to give some flavor. My sister didn't like her meal either. Rather blah, not worth the cost. read more

I want to like this place more because it's so convenient for us. We've always had good customer service and the ambiance is light and friendly. For me the issue is that the food is nothing to write home about. I tried an omelette, I believe it was a Southwest omelette. It was seriously lacking ingredients and flavor. I was surprised because the ingredients that should have been present should have been quite flavorful. I added salsa to stomach it but wasn't impressed. Because it's close by we've taken family when they're in town and now I just stick to French toast. I honestly agree with other reviews though when they say that the price doesn't match the bland, basic food. They need some life on the menu.. some more seasoning and some new recipe ideas might help. read more

Absolutely great friendly staff... But the food is absolutely cheap quality and out of a carton and nuked.

Food and service here were both excellent. Would be a five-star review if they would increase the overall cleanliness of the place. We will definitely be back though. Everyone was happy with their food. I had the eggs Benedict which was perfect. The coffee was great too. It was a little on the pricey side, but overall a pleasant experience. read more

We truly enjoyed our breakfast experience this morning. The food was exceptional and we noticed every person working in the restaurant was smiling. We ordered the Billy Goat omelette and substituted Canadian bacon for the potatoes and bread and chocolate chip pancakes w/ scrambled eggs. Meh! Overall a good place to eat. Nothing special. Yes, the eggs Benedict are good other items in the menu as well. I've been wanting to go here for quite some time and finally went the other day. The staff is very friendly, however the food is terrible. I've been to J Christopher's many times, and, in the past, the food was good. Now, the food is disgusting, the cleanliness is a appalling, and the service is mediocre. This was the last chance I gave J Christopher's, and they most certainly will NOT be getting another one. In the past, multiple times I've had hair in my food, dirty mugs and silverware, and burnt English muffins. I encountered the same fate today. The spoon in the silverware was disgusting, and the muffin was burnt. I ordered what I thought was supposed to be "cheese grits," but I received bland grits with maybe a teaspoon of cheese on top--very disappointing for someone who adores cheese. This was the last chance for them, and I will not be coming back. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE WHO IS A FAN OF BREAKFAST FOOD. You'd be better off at Waffle House in terms of quality, cleanliness, and service. read more

Saw a road sign for this place as Bobby and I were going to grab some lunch and were immediately excited we now have one in our area!! It's in the same restaurant space as my beloved Ippolitos was just a few years ago. We walked in and were greeted by a whole team of smiling and friendly hostesses. They just opened two days ago but everything seemed to be running smoothly. The service was great we had the most attentive waitress she even let us know right after we ordered how long our food was going to take to be made and get out to us. I ordered the green tea, Irish Oatmeal (sans my fav Irish Mist for obvious reasons) they have their own take topping it with cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins instead which was delicious! I had a side of potatoes with mustard because I couldn't resist and they were cooked to perfection :). Bobby got the eggs Christopher which he wolfed down in record time I was however able to steal a quick bite of his bacon yum!!! I ended up eating way too much but it was so worth it. We will definitely be enjoying this restaurant again soon! read more
