AFHHS responded by visiting in a couple of hours and providing a preliminary assessment. A deep dive evaluation was scheduled for later in the week. The technician who arrived was very knowledgeable and thorough in his evaluation, pointing out a couple of things that contradicted the original evaluation by the first company. Although the AF technician indicated the furnace was a bit undersized for the square footage of our home, he said the furnace was in reasonable condition for being 11 years old. He recommended a thorough cleaning of the furnace in the spring before committing to purchasing a new furnace. We are very pleased with the results of calling AFHHS and will be looking forward to their service in a few months.

Epic was called and came out twice only to tell me that it was working properly. We are faced with using space heaters, fans and a portable AC to find any relief from the cold and heat in the winter and summer, respectively. I just find it disappointing that more locally owned businesses don't stand behind their work or their product. Are we a society that focuses on greed and not quality? Sturm was going to have a tech come out and tell us how much a complete repair would be (I ass u med) we paid for that and we also asked the tech to have sales contact us for bids to replace HP with another heat pump or A/C unit. After over a month of no contact, I finally got the poor receptionist to explain that it would be over 800 dollars MORE before they could tell us how much it would be to fix it. And, she politely said she would ask sales to contact us to follow up on repair or replace. OVER A MONTH OF NOTHING and now over 800 to do something we paid for in May. They threw away a long relationship with us and we are telling our friends, colleagues and neighbors.

I see other reviews about how rude and abusive the billing person is and this was the case when I talked to her. I would never use these people again under any circumstance. I even told her that we had just used them to install a $15,000 heating system and that they should find the tenant or just eat this service which they charged me $50 for a ten dollar filter and $62 for what couldn't have taken more than two minutes to install. When we received the bill via email it was less than estimated. When I called to pay over the phone, I asked about the lower price. I was told it was due to a rebate on the tankless water heaters.
