We originally had a time-and-materials proposal from Handyman that could vary anywhere from about $2,100 to $3,400 which was within our budget. Robert came in and suggested he just give us a fixed price (with better fixtures) so there's no confusion. We were fine with that and were pleasantly surprised when his fixed price was at the very low end of the spread we expected. He also had to repair a broken underground line at no added charge and the outcome is better than the original. Robert was great to work with, a very nice guy, and very honest and forthcoming. We insisted on an am appointment 6/27. They never turned up. We rescheduled to 6/28. They never turned up. Communication from them was very poor. It appears that 3.00 pm is still considered am by Mainstream. Should have read more independent reviews. Everything cancelled.
