So I called High Energy to come out and find out why the fuse didn't trip. After 90 minutes of assessment and merely installing another wire nut the Tech. informed me he "didn't know why the fuse didn't trip. AND for that I paid $536! WHAT!! I specifically hired High Energy to find out why the fuse didn't trip when it should have. They DIDN'T do that ... then charged me $536. TWO words come to mind; RIP-OFF! Hell my son hired an electrician recently in the metropolitan area of Seattle and he was only charged $300 for the same time frame ... and his guy actually FIXED the problem he'd been hired to repair. High Energy did little but "assess", couldn't diagnose the issue, couldn't resolve the issue and yet had the GALL to charge $536. I have four rental properties in Spokane and you can bet I will NEVER AGAIN employ a company that thinks it's okay to charge $536 to NOT live up to the expectation for which they were hired. If I could give this company a ZERO rating I surely would. To all my fellow homeowners I highly recommend seeking a different company for your electrical needs. My fault for not researching online reviews prior to employing. Service Requested = 0 Quality = 0 Value = 0

I asked for a bid to install one 240 outlet (which another company did for under $1000) and they gave me a proposal to replace the breaker panel ($13,000), all the upstairs outlets ($6700) plus $2000 for the 240 outlet. Total $20 grand!!! By the way my house is only 25 years old and we have had zero problems with our electrical system.

So read this to start and then read the rest on the pictures attached. . On their website, under the offers tab, there will be a coupon that reads "83 Drain Clearing or It's Free". You may even have a flyer that came in the mail posted to your fridge with that same drain clearing deal. (Or any other coupon for that matter.) . IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT FALL FOR THIS BULLSHIT. . My husband and I had a pretty good back up in our main sewer line a week before Thanksgiving last year (2025). The pipe was clearly clogged, but if no water was turned on in the house for an hour or so, it would slowly flow down, so we still had drainage. We thought it would be a simple fix. A snake of the line should do the trick - it had been 10+ years since our last back up. . I only called Mainstream because of that 'offer' I spoke about earlier. Drain clearing - eighty three or it's free. Cool! This was perfect; it was exactly what we needed and impressively cheaper than everybody else out there. . Called and got a same day appointment - tech shows up about an hour later. It's like 3pm-ish. Younger guy. Asks a few questions, sees the stagnant water level from the drain in the basement and grabs an auger from his truck. He brings it down the stairs and I kid you not, this auger had three blades on the end of it that made a plastic butter knife look sharp. Tiny too, like maaaybe two inches long. (This is part of their plan, stick with me.) . He proceeds to clear the clogged pipe. Probably spends about 15-20 minutes on it and then tells us his auger has hit something in the line and it is unable to go any further, BUT lo and behold, his supervisor is a few minutes away with a camera attachment. So that we can SEE the clog. In a fully submerged sewer pipe filled with dirty water. Right. . Supervisor shows up with a small light attachment and the camera *amazingly* less than 10 minutes later. Hooks it up, pushes it back and forth aggressively, grunts a little, squints, all the selling points here. Meanwhile, my husband and I are looking at this dark-ass, 5 by 5 inch monitor (the same one they are) which shows us absolutely nothing. Imagine kicking up all the muddy sand from the shallow part of the river bank and then trying to see the bottom. . We give them space here and go upstairs instead of awkwardly watching them the whole time, but we are both skeptical AF at this point. . Here's where it gets good. Young guy leaves (without saying anything to us) and 'supervisor' begins to explain our situation. Dude's name is Matthew Gipson and apparently he is a drain specialist, not a part of the sales team...which is the position his business card reads. Interesting. Anyway, he tells us that THE MAIN LINE SEWER PIPE HAS COLLAPSED. He says the location of the collapse is about 25 to 30 feet from the house (which puts it *conveniently* smack dab in the middle of our gravel driveway and not our yard). He also goes on to tell us that he has fixed numerous houses in this same neighborhood due to the builders back in the 40's/50's using the Orangeburg pipes. Mind you, we do not have Orangeburg pipes, ours are clay. . The fix for this? $8,000 dollars...that was the quote. EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. Which would consist of an excavating crew coming out the next day to rip up half our driveway, replace the pipe, and install a clean out in that location. . HAHAHAHA, YO WHAT?!‍ . I could keep quiet no longer. Was it possible there was a collapsed pipe? Absolutely. Was it possible that good ol' Mainstream wanted a little more than $83 on this service call and had instructed their employees to fabricate a lie to upsell and extract that money from a desperate homeowner with a time sensitive issue? *ding x3* . Holding back my disgust (difficult, as I just wanted this fraud out of my house at this point while trying to keep cordial), I simply said that my husband and I would be shopping for quotes on this and that we'd sleep on our decision and call back tomorrow morning. He wasn't expecting this response. He kept repeating that the excavating team could be there as soon as the sun rises, that no other company could match their price for this service, blaaah blah blah blah blah. . He eventually left. We didn't owe anything because of their "83 or it's free" deal (which he had mentioned multiple times throughout the appointment), but our evening was wasted and our line was still clogged. . This caused all the electricity in our home to turn off. We made the mistake of trying to repair it ourselves and was unsuccessful. We contacted everyone we found on Yelp, but Mr. Electric of Spokane was the only place that would able able to arrive the same day. Living in a small place in Spokane, one short circuit and you're without electricity throughout the entire house. We called Mr. Electric of Spokane and explained our situation and that we needed someone here ASAP. They mentioned they had someone up North and will contact them to stop by between appointments. Communication was excellent with this company. I knew who and when they were arriving and costs via cellular phone, text, and email. They even sent a photo of the electrician so I knew who to expect and allow into my home. To be honest, I was very embarrassed that I tried to fix it and was unable. They told me that they would have to take a closer look before doing anything since an uncertified electrician worked on it (me). Brian and his teammate arrived and was friendly and welcoming. They were very knowledgeable. They found out we needed a new main breaker switch which was on back order BUT they found an older one in their vehicle. They installed that to see if that would fix the issue and it did. The service was beyond what we had imagined and he did not judge. The price was worth the fix and time. They were done within an hour and let us know the other things needing work. We have an older home and things are slowly needing repair. Much appreciated! They were in and out within an hour. In summation, we would recommend Mr. Electric of Spokane. They were able to fit us into their busy schedule when we needed them the most. Other electricians estimated a week or two out, but we couldn't wait that long given our situation. They were able to work on our home the same day and it was done very quickly.

First, Greg seems like a nice guy but he did absolutely nothing when he came. I didn't know what he was going to do or when. If you don't want to do the work or don't have the time you just say that and don't waste other people's time. After a few days I received something from the office saying something about an estimate. What estimate? Next, if I have to call and complain that nothing is done then there is a problem. After a week I called and complained again, and later that day finally received an estimate. I can prove this because I have emails from when I called the first time and when I received the estimate. The problem is your company not me. So replying to my review and making it look like I am the problem just proves I am right.

After starting the work, they stated they couldn't finish a generator switch unless we upgraded our entire electrical box at a 7500 cost. We decided not to finish the work and not move forward. We agreed to pay what work was done per the contract and get the rest of our deposit back. On our original signed contract it showed $0 dollars for one line item and then we get charged $200 additional outside the contract. Charging more than what the original contract stated is completely uncalled for and unethical. But the owner refuses to refund the $200 extra he charged outside the contract. The excuse we were told was for man hours, if man hours aren't included in the original contract, then they should maybe write their estimates differently to show that, because all this is showing is being dishonest and charging more than what was agreed on. They offered to rewrite the contract to show it that way but in all reality, that isn't our fault. We had a signed contract and they went outside of that. They basically expect the customer to pay for their mistake on the original estimate and signed contract. Also reading a few more reviews, this seems to be the norm for this company, so if you hire them, expect to pay more than the signed contract, even when no extra work was done.
