AFHHS responded by visiting in a couple of hours and providing a preliminary assessment. A deep dive evaluation was scheduled for later in the week. The technician who arrived was very knowledgeable and thorough in his evaluation, pointing out a couple of things that contradicted the original evaluation by the first company. Although the AF technician indicated the furnace was a bit undersized for the square footage of our home, he said the furnace was in reasonable condition for being 11 years old. He recommended a thorough cleaning of the furnace in the spring before committing to purchasing a new furnace. We are very pleased with the results of calling AFHHS and will be looking forward to their service in a few months.

We are faced with using space heaters, fans and a portable AC to find any relief from the cold and heat in the winter and summer, respectively. Nearly a month passed while the errant part wended its way towards Epic. We endured sub-zero temperatures while playing musical space heaters to keep parts of the house warm without tripping breakers. We were promised our repair the Tuesday after Xmas. Let the AC serve me until it was dust and he informed me, the furnace was only 9 years old and certainly in no need to be replaced. I was appalled that the first guys were going to sell me something that I didn't need and couldn't afford. Thank you Daniel Savage, for being honest with me! I told them to send it to collections and then they called my wife and threatended her with collections so she paid it because she didn't want to have to deal with them again. I see other reviews about how rude and abusive the billing person is and this was the case when I talked to her. I would never use these people again under any circumstance. I even told her that we had just used them to install a $15,000 heating system and that they should find the tenant or just eat this service which they charged me $50 for a ten dollar filter and $62 for what couldn't have taken more than two minutes to install. So I called and asked if they install tankless water heaters, to which I was told they do. Peter came out and gave us an estimate. Yesterday a crew came out and did the installation. The crew was two installer and two electricians. The crew was outstanding- very polite and respectful. They actually took an hour less than was estimated. When we received the bill via email it was less than estimated. When I called to pay over the phone, I asked about the lower price. I was told it was due to a rebate on the tankless water heaters.

Have been Sturm customers for many, MANY years. Our heat pump was not functioning properly so we…read morecalled for service. They sent a super young man, and we were billed and paid the almost 200 dollars. Sturm was going to have a tech come out and tell us how much a complete repair would be (I ass u med) we paid for that and we also asked the tech to have sales contact us for bids to replace HP with another heat pump or A/C unit. After over a month of no contact, I finally got the poor receptionist to explain that it would be over 800 dollars MORE before they could tell us how much it would be to fix it. And, she politely said she would ask sales to contact us to follow up on repair or replace. OVER A MONTH OF NOTHING and now over 800 to do something we paid for in May. They threw away a long relationship with us and we are telling our friends, colleagues and neighbors.

Eric arrived on time and performed both services in a timely fashion. The units were in decent shape, but the flush of the water heater proved the necessity of annual maintenance for enhancing the reliability of the critical systems. Eric explained everything he was doing and meticulously fine combed through both units. Due to Eric's continued excellence (this was the 3rd time he was here), I plan on maintaining the 'Comfort Club' annual plan with J.A. Bertsch.
