There was a lot to like about the service and the front office, but, not at all pleased with bid to finish job handling. Cost was what I considered high without getting bids from other like companies, so that is my fault. But the numbers were toyed with so as I had to call back to challenge the company on how the numbers were offered to the customer, me. I did, receive a credit back after alerting the company of a couple of misrepresentations in the bid / final cost process. The experience working with this company has been horrendous. At first they got the measurement wrong for my unit and wasn't able to install the original unit quoted. They ran the line set like a pull up bar in my basement and it was even moderately straight. They burned the crap out of my unit while soldering. After installing a new wire to my thermostat they didn't even test the unit - now the blower works and nothing else. The electricians on multiple days said they couldn't finish my job because they had other jobs scheduled. Whatever you do - go with someone else - this wasn't even moderately comfortable. read more

Our air conditioner worked great until it didn't work at all! I emailed a few places I found online. Comfort Heating and Air contacted me right away and made an appointment for the following day. They emailed me a confirmation for my appointment and Brad Johnson texted the next day when he was on his way. 5 stars for good communication!! Brad identified the problem in less than 5 minutes and he had the part needed in his truck! Wow! Efficient, fast and friendly. Brad replaced the part and checked out the whole heat pump for me. This company was contacted to provide service for a residential furnace and A/C system. They found an issue with the flue from the furnace, and needed to return with parts. The repair was approximately an hour with simple flue parts and they overcharged quite excessively for the work ($900). They are a ripoff and are ruining a business that was run well by previous owners. STAY AWAY!!! read more

We recently moved to Coeur d'Alene and had a problem this winter when the heat went off in our house. We called Custom Heating & Air and were greeted by Michelle, who was very professional. I explained our problem and she sent out their technician, JJ. He arrived right on time and was very polite. He performed some diagnostics and found that we needed a new heating and cooling unit. He presented the problem to us in a concerned manner, knowing it was a huge expensive. After explaining he situation, he stated that Andrew would call us to set up an appointment to review our options. When Andrew came to our home, he too was professional and polite. He presented us with three options. That evening we made our decision, called Andrew and discussed payment. He was very sympathetic and even offer an easy payment plan. After discussing payment, Andrew stated they would be out the next day to make the installation. Even Julie, the owner's wife, came out to deliver parts. After everything was complete, we had a small problem but, thanks to Andrew, the problem was solved. I very highly recommend this company for all your heating and cooling needs.
