We called for service for our gas fireplace. Tim W. arrived timely, introduced himself at the door, and asked if he should removed his boots. I appreciated his immediate request as it conveyed he would care for our home. He brought his tools and kept his area clean. He had to remove panels both inside and outside of the home. We communicated a bit during the appointment to diagnose the issue. Upon completing the repair Tim mentioned a remote we may enjoy. We had spoken during the service appointment about our family lifestyle. He was prepared with the necessary parts and tools in his service vehicle. We were thrilled! Today, June 3, 2024, I requested service to repair my non-working furnace and Andy's Healing and Cooling, a locally-owned business, provided same-day service. The technician, Cole Gunnoe, arrived at the specified time, and promptly determined that a capacitor replacement would resolve the problem. He was correct. My furnace is working perfectly now. Mr. Gunnoe was very courteous and efficient and left the work area clean. I am very happy with the service provided and also with the very reasonable charge for the replacement part and labor. I do not know why they don't have a better review! These people are amazing! They set their priorities on households that have no heat - as it should be. I have been on both ends, my maintenance rescheduled in order to cover urgent no heat situations, as well as my having no heat myself when my furnace went out. A couple other companies told me it would be 2-3 weeks when I had NO HEAT and it was down in the single digits. Andy's went out of their way to get to me, get the parts expedited that were needed, and fixed my furnace. Ac went out on Friday. They were able to squeeze me in 10am Monday. Chad showed up right on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem as a inoperative capacitor. I'm still waiting for that estimate! Called early October 2019, for an estimate on purchase and installation of a pellet stove. Andy (?) arrived and found an area to locate the new stove. I requested the estimate be sent to me. Believing this was a busy time of year for them I waited until early December 2019 and called Andys. They (receptionist) did remember me and stated I would receive that estimate. To date, I have yet to receive the estimate. Remember, for many of these items/stoves Andys is just a middle man, an "authorized dealer". Besides registering your dissatification on social media contact the manufacturer of your stove or other item and inform the manufacturer of the type of service you are receiving. Better yet, contact a dealer in Spokane that appreciates your business and will treat you in a professional manner. read more

I was astonished at the poor customer service. I had to call multiple times over the course of 2 months just to get information on a particular fireplace I was interested in for my home. I was continually told I would get a call back but never did. FINALLY I got in touch with someone to set up a home visit to get an estimate. I had planned to pay $95 for the estimate because I live in Spokane and he had to drive from CDA. This was scheduled over 2 weeks out and I made plans to take the morning off of work. I called their office to confirm the night before the scheduled visit and to make sure I had the right time, only to be told my scheduled visit was cancelled and they would "get back to me" about the next available time. I don't need any more convincing - they've lost my business for good. read more

Had some repair work done recently on my HVAC System. The tech doing the work found the issue in 5 minutes and had everything working in less then 30 minutes. The one part that needed to be replaced retailed at $15 and I was charged $240 for the part. That is price gouging at a level I've never experienced. I was also charged an additional $130 for a diagnosis fee...so over all a $15 part and 30 minutes of work cost me almost $400. That is simply obscene. read more

I definitely do not recommend Andy's Heating & Cooling. Gas stove stopped working, called and had a service tech come out. Was told the gas valve was bad and that the valve in question was hard to find. Andy's called the next day and said that they could not get the valve and implied that it was no longer manufactured. Well imagine my surprise when I (not any kind of HVAC expert) managed to find the valve online in a matter of about 10 minutes. I'm picking it up tomorrow ( from a local business in post falls)and having a competent HVAC company install it. The bottom line is that Andy's is a dishonest business which was more than happy to try and sell me a new gas stove but not willing to do a ten minute internet search. read more

I called Andy's to schedule a repair to my gas fireplace. I got an appointment pretty quick and the tech. came out to identify the problem. He did so as a thermocouple and had to order it, which was to take a few days. About 2 weeks went by and I did not hear anything, so I called them. I was told the part was sent to the wrong location, so they arranged to get it and a second appointment was set up. I took time off work to be there but the tech. never showed or even called. I called Andy's and a third appointment was set up. The tech showed up and said the part the received didn't fit, they sent him the wrong part, and that they no longer make a Thermocouple for it. He then left and said I would have to buy a new fireplace. I checked my fireplace and he left it in pieces with wires out all over and parts removed. He should have at least put it back like it was, not in pieces. I contacted the manufacturer and they do in fact still make that part for it. I received a bill for the service, which I will be requesting he come out and at least put it back together before I pay. Either the tech. didn't actually check with the manufacturer for the correct part, or he just didn't want to come back out. On the positive side, the person scheduling appointment was great and very flexible with me. read more

I had Andy's install a woodstove. The whole process was enjoyable, professional, timely and on budget, but I especially liked the installers. They asked questions, and confirmed everything so that it was installed exactly how we envisioned. They even came back and corrected something they felt could have been done better. Wasn't going to leave a review but I found out what was wrong with the stove and it was completely different than what I was told instead of a pilot assembly it was a venting problem the person that came out spent only 20 minutes telling me that the pilot assembly was probably bad never checked the thermostat or anything else like he have blinders on and that's all he wanted to replace $99 an hour and he spent 20 minutes and he was out of here the front desk was not much help either the 40 minutes that he didn't do anything I should have had him go out and pull weeds in the garden or something read more

We purchased our stove directly from Andy and are here to tell you it has been a spectacular experience start to finish. He educated us on the different models and which models would best meet our needs based on price, features, and size. From there he put together a package with all the stove pipe and fittings so we could do-it-ourselves and save a little yet be sure we had the proper supplies for a safe install. He answered all of our phone calls promptly and completely. He even arranged to meet at his shop on a day they were otherwise closed so we could get our stove and fittings home. Asked them to come out and look at repair of my fireplace or replace. There were some issues with the make of the fireplace. Mark, who came out to look at it, said he would get back to us about it. No response. Called him back and he again said he would get back to me. No response. I even went to the shop, asked for Mark and the receptionist said he would get back to me. No response. This is extremely poor customer service. Just tell me he could do it or not. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

As a contractor Andy's failed me in every-way concerning fireplace work. The A/C and venting was very professional but the fireplace was a problem causing delay after delay. Failed to work with electrician and started the one year warranty from rough in install and that after not even testing..then after the house sold would not service for a solution except for a guy that came out striped some screws and had to come again this time without tools or knowledge how to solve.... I'll brag about good business so I don't feel bad about complaining when I have to fix their mistakes.....Professionals make mistakes but what set them apart is how they handle those mistakes and Andy's fails in the fireplace department read more
