Then the first roofers I talked to wanted payment in cash so they didn't have to pay tax, but didn't mind involving me in a tax fraud scheme with no paperwork to protect myself against faulty work or the IRS. Finally I called Right First Roofing and was immediately relieved to find an honest and straightforward contractor. Patrick got up on my roof himself and took a video to show me its condition and explained my options, pointing me to what I knew (from the experience of the first roofer) to be the less expensive treatment and one that was perfectly adequate to protect my mobile home's aluminum roof. Repairs took place in two steps, first the immediate and absolute repair of the leak! Then later the completion of a normal maintenance coating for the roof once the combination of wind and rain allowed it. Now eight months have passed and I couldn't be happier or feel more secure with their work. I had to get it capped for an appliance change & before it was delivered. Now that other places are responding (after the work is complete and paid for - I paid $150 - $200 more than I should have). They have it listed as base cost for repair. It wasn't a repair. Ouch! If I weren't in a hurry to provide better indoor quality air to my mom by switching out the range- I would have waited to have more quotes. I definitely would have picked someone else so money was more directed to taking care of my terminally ill mom. Lesson learned.
