After dad had passed & mom's health was failing, it was time to clean out the basement. I ended up rescuing the old lamp from a family yard sale, after which the it sat in my garage for a few more years. One place I called gave me an estimate of $400 to restore it! Well above my budget. Enter Revival Lighting. Had heard their ads on the radio for awhile before I finally called them. Took the lamp down (they were on Division at this time) and had them restore the lamp, changing the bright gold finish to a deep bronze. The lamp was beautiful! A few years later, we had a house fire and the original shade was destroyed & the old lamp was again relegated to the basement. Facing a move to California this past October, I wanted the lamp restored again before I left & by the only company I trusted to do it - Revival Lighting. They were able to get the lamp done for me, even with changing the finish to the Old Gold, before I had to leave in three weeks. The lamp is absolutely beautiful! Now, the search is on for a new shade! By the way, it only cost $140.00 to restore my family heirloom!
